As a Senior PR Officer, you will play an important role in planning and delivering creative national and regional PR strategies to promote fundraising and partnership activities for Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day 2025 campaign, that inspire people to get involved and demonstrate the life changing work donations make possible.

About the role
The Senior Volunteer officer will work to involve the local community in enhancing and taking care of the park and will support all areas of the Trust’s work, including visitor experience, gardening and supporting the delivery of the Trust’s growing public programme of seasonal, community-focused activities and events. Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee the management of Finance, HR, and Governance business functions.
- Manage financial aspects of the company, including quarterly management accounts and annual financial statements for the UK, Republic of Ireland, and Malta.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and oversee internal audits.
- Lead and develop the Finance, HR, and Governance teams, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with senior management to align financial strategies with overall business goals.
- Represent the Finance Department in internal and external projects, ensuring HSF remains competitive in the health plan market.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as Director of Resources, Director of Finance, or a similar role.
- Fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple business functions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and strategic thinking skills.
- Knowledge of HR management principles and employment legislation.

Trees for Cities is the only national charity dedicated to improve lives by planting, protecting and promoting urban trees. We do this by working closely with communities, landowners, partners and funders to deliver transformational change in towns and cities across the UK and overseas. In addition to leading a small team and overseeing day-to-day financial management, this role will contribute to key initiatives such as enhancing our fund accounting and management reporting, refining project cost modelling, and reviewing finance policies and processes. As a business partner to budget holders, the role will provide leaders with the knowledge, insights, and tools to strengthen budget management and forecasting, building on the supportive and engaged relationship the finance team already fosters across the organisation. Position: Safeguarding Officer
Type: Part Time (28 hours over 5 days a week), 18 month Fixed Term Contract
Location: Office based in London, Cardiff, Edinburgh or Belfast with flexibility to work remotely
Salary: £20,632.80 per annum* (FTE £25,791 per annum) plus excellent benefits

About this job
Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Safeguarding professional, with a strong interest in protecting adults at risk and children from harm, within the wider Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Community?
Based within our Helpline Services team, you’ll have responsibility for:
- Responding to concerns reported by staff and volunteers
- Leading the coordination of responding to safeguarding concerns
- Dealing with safeguarding issues (as they arise) and liaising with statutory services as needed
- Giving advice and support to colleagues and our volunteers in relation to safeguarding and disclosure checking
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the society
- Liaising with external safeguarding agencies
- Embedding organisational safeguarding policies, procedures and practices across the society
You’ll have experience of working in a safeguarding customer-facing environment within the Charity or Public Service sectors. You’ll have proficient administrative and IT skills with the ability to work accurately, consistently and independently. You’ll ideally have had experience in supporting vulnerable people in person, over the phone and or online.
An understanding of safeguarding within the Charity and Public Service sectors is essential.
A satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check without barring list check will need to be obtained to undertake this role.

As one of our vital Supporter Care Assistants, you’ll provide a variety of clear and engaging customer service for Greenpeace supporters via email, phone and post. You will work to Office of Immigration Services Commission (OISC), Specialist Quality Mark (SQM) and Immigration and Asylum Accreditation (IAAS) standards and keep up to date with changes in law and policy relating to refugees, asylum seekers and migrants.
