Animal Defenders International is a UK nonprofit, Animal Defenders International Foundation and the Lord Dowding Fund is a UK registered charity, with offices in Los Angeles, Bogota and the ADI Wildlife Sanctuary in South Africa, home to big cats rescued from circuses, zoos, pet trade. Position Objective:
To maintain financial controls and records for ADI London office, recording income, donor records, expenditure, banking, reports. Ensures finance and administration systems provide good support for ADI fundraising, advocacy, rescues and campaigns activities. Contributes to management of accurate and reliable data using Sage 50c, Raiser’s Edge NXT, Engaging Networks, recording data, producing reports. Assists CFO with reconciliations, ledgers, quarterly and annual reports.

You are qualified AAT, or part qualified CA, ACCA or CIMA. Experienced in finance, bookkeeping, use of databases, general administration and importantly, you want to help a nonprofit to save animals. You have the skills and experience to help ADI grow. About the Role:
Finance:
- Data entry on Sage 50c
- Recording of donations and other income
- Sales order/invoice processing
- Purchase ledger maintenance, reconciliations

Administration:
- IT/Network administration (working with service providers); data protection.

Skills / Expertise required:
Essential:
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in similar role.
- AAT, or part qualified CA, ACCA or CIMA, and/or other relevant qualifications.

Individual Giving Officer
Salary: £23,566 - £29,994 per annum

As the Individual Giving Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the Individual Giving Manager, with the objective of significantly growing the supporter base and income. They are looking to appoint someone with experience in running activities, campaigns and appeals to raise funds from individual donors and who is excited about fundraising.
With a broad remit across recruitment and retention of supporters, you will lead in project managing engaging and compelling digital and direct marketing activity; support the management of our lottery partner, produce our bi-annual supporter newsletter, create and execute inspiring appeals and use data, analysis and reporting to grow our regular giving and raffle products.

Role summary
- Plan, produce and execute appeals and communications to meet income targets and improve supporter loyalty and lifetime value
- Work with our external fundraising partner to grow regular giving and lottery income, create audience-led fundraising materials, and design and execute engaging supporter journeys
- Produce regular analysis of the performance of campaigns and journeys, looking for trends and behaviours that will inform future strategies

Project management
- Plan, produce and execute engaging supporter communications across multiple channels including direct mail, email and phone & face-to-face
- Plan, produce and execute fundraising appeals working with internal colleagues and agencies to ensure fundraising targets are met
- Work with our lottery partner supporting all aspects of the Magpas Air Ambulance Lottery programme
- Work with the marketing and communications team to ensure external communications, social media and PR complement and amplify individual giving activity
- Design and delivery of audience-led supporter journeys to improve supporter loyalty and lifetime value
- Support in the delivery of legacy and in-memoriam marketing plans
- Ensure all individual giving and supporter marketing activity complies with the appropriate regulation and legislation and delivers an excellent experience for supporters

Strategy and planning
- Work alongside the Individual Giving Manager to deliver an effective and sustainable individual giving plan to grow income from new and existing donors
- Produce, plan and implement effective donor journeys to maximise the engagement and retention of individual supporters
- Work across the organisation to champion and promote individual giving and to implement excellent supporter care
- Manage budgets and schedules for campaigns and appeals, ensuring all activity is delivered to agreed targets
Data management and reporting
- Working with the data team to ensure the accurate and timely import and export of donor data and that supporter records are always up to date
- Work with the data team to select, segment and clean data for fundraising activity
- Use campaign data to track and report on the effectiveness of activity, attrition and inform decision-making and future planning
- Produce and analyse audience data to inform creative decisions and identify opportunities to improve engagement
- Produce & circulate campaign information documents to update internal colleagues on activity and end-of-campaign reports
About you
- Proven experience of managing individual giving activity including appeals, recruitment campaigns and retention communications to achieve income targets across mail, phone, email, social media and through face-to-face fundraising
- Experience of producing compelling supporter creative and fundraising messages
- Experience of data selection and segmentation and the effective use of supporter data for campaign purposes
- Good knowledge and experience of using a fundraising database for comprehensive reporting and analysis
- Proven ability to manage relationships with third-party suppliers including creative agencies, printers and fulfilment house
- Proven ability to work closely with internal teams including Communications, Supporter Care and Finance department
- Self-sufficient and confident to make decisions within the boundaries of the role
