Contract: Permanent, full time or reduced hours considered
Location: Stoke-on-Trent office, ideally 3-4 days per week onsite

Citizen's Advice helps people find a way forward and speaks up for them. We can all face problems that seem complicated or intimidating and no one sees so many people, with so many different kinds of problems.

Citizen's Advice North Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent offers holistic and tailored advice and support, everything from social security benefits and personal debt, to housing, employment disputes and immigration issues. They also offer specialist help to victims of crime.

About the role
Following the recent appointment of a new CEO, Citizen's Advice has identified the need for a centralised business development function to maximise opportunities with trusts, foundations and corporate partners. This is a newly-created role with scope for autonomy and huge potential to develop new relationships and explore fresh opportunities.

Working closely with the new CEO and senior leadership team, you'll develop an organisational fundraising strategy, identify new business and funding opportunities, and implement a programme of donor development and corporate sponsorship.

You can expect to be given freedom to shape the role to suit your unique strengths and skills, working towards the following goals and ambitions:

* Identify new opportunities to diversify income streams and support service delivery.
* Develop a compelling case-for-support.
* Write effective applications, bids and tenders to a range of funders.
* Develop effective corporate partnerships across a range of sectors.

About you
You're a confident and creative business development professional, with experience of developing relationships and partnerships with charity sector funders.

We'd love to see a proven track-record of successful applications from bids and contracts, or trusts and foundations (ideally at five figures+).

Experience of building corporate partnerships would be welcome, but we appreciate it's rare to have a foot in both camps. This could be a brilliant development opportunity if you're looking to diversify your toolkit.

You're definitely a values-led individual who enjoys working closely with internal stakeholders, with the ability to help nurture a culture of fundraising.

Being a considerate, caring and compassionate team player is also a must.

If you're as excited by this opportunity as we are, then we'd love hear from you. Please send a copy of your profile or CV to Amelia Lee at Charity People as the first step.

Deadline: 9am on Friday 19th July
Interview dates are currently being confirmed
