As a Prospect Researcher you will be responsible for:
- Research Strategy: Develop and implement a research strategy to optimise fundraising efforts.
- Prospect Identification: Source and evaluate potential donors to guide fundraising activities.
- Reporting: Maintain a robust reporting system to measure and improve fundraising success.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to data protection legislation and ethical donation policies.
- Training: Provide guidance on ethical fundraising practices to internal teams.
What you will need to be successful in the role:
- Previous experience as a Prospect Researcher or a similar role in higher education or not for profit sector
- A high level of accuracy and excellent attention
- Experience of planning, designing and delivering effective management reports
- An excellent understanding of data protection legislation and the requirements of compliance with these policies

The Role
Based at our Head Office in Basingstoke, Hampshire, and reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will deliver engaging, creative, data-driven marketing campaigns targeting our beneficiaries and supporters across the UK’s fire services community. You’ll achieve this by utilising all our available media channels including email, websites, direct mail, social media, on/offline advertising and events.
In this fast-paced and exciting role, you’ll be supporting teams across our Charity to promote our health and wellbeing services to the deserving people we support. You will also assist our fundraising teams to generate the income needed to fund the diverse range of services we provide to the fire family.
This role is subject to a Basic Disclosure and Barring Services Check.
About You
We’re looking for an enthusiastic marketer with experience delivering marketing campaigns that demonstrate a return on investment.
You will need to be confident communicator, calm under pressure and keen to evidence the success of your work through data analysis, you will be able to adapt your approach to suit different audiences and to translate marketing briefs and objectives into effective campaign activity.
Naturally creative and pro-active, this role would ideally suit someone who is keen to take the next step in their marketing career, who thinks on their feet to overcome challenges to deliver projects on-budget and on-time.

The post holder will work develop and manage positive relationships with a pipeline of new business high net worth prospects, leading to first time major gifts of 5 and 6 figures. You will work with the Head of Philanthropy and the Prospect Researcher to support the identification of new major gift opportunities from high-net-worth individuals. You will also develop cultivation strategies for prospective donors to ensure a steady, growing stream of financial commitment to Breast Cancer Now.

The Trust & Foundations Development Manager will play a key role in enabling the optimisation of the Charity’s net income from UK and global Trusts, Foundations and Lottery funding sources. Job Purpose:
- Contribute to hyh’s overall Fundraising strategy as a member of the Fundraising Team
- Have day to day responsibility for the Individual Giving income stream

About The Access Project
The Access Project is an education charity; we believe that every young person can make the most of education, unlocking their potential and creating a fairer society.
We support over 1,800 young people aged 14 to 18 across 40 schools. Our mission is to support students from under-resourced backgrounds to access top universities, through a unique combination of tuition and in-school mentoring. We work with them to make good applications, get the grades and transition to university.
We employ 70 people who work in locations in London, the Midlands, Yorkshire and the North West. We will turn over approximately £3.7 million in this financial year and our funding comes from a range of sources including: schools, businesses, major donors and grant-making trusts.

New business development
- Periodically refreshing our corporate offer with creative ideas, proposals and content to inspire decision makers.

- Managing the preparation and submission of major corporate partnership bids and coordinating internal teams to contribute effectively.

Account management and stewardship
- Delivering successful partnerships in your portfolio through excellent account management to maximise fundraising and volunteering potential and retain partners.
- Ensuring corporate partnerships are celebrated through working with Communications colleagues.
- Working collaboratively with the wider Fundraising Team, Volunteer Team, Programmes Team and other functions to deliver a fantastic partner experience and ensure an integrated and joined up approach.

Role Requirements
The post holder will be responsible for running the logistics required for a disperse network of charity shops, including the supply and distribution of stock; management of suppliers, landlords and associated stakeholders and ensuring that all compliance requirements are fulfilled. The role will also support the delivery of the retail strategy to drive income growth and increase footfall and to support new business initiatives.
With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.

About the role

About you
This role requires experience of line managing employees, experience in managing a shop including knowledge of retail and health and safety legislation and administrative/cash handling experience.
You will also have an ability to deal with customers and maintaining a high level of customer service, have good verbal, written communication skills, as well as being comfortable using IT and EPOS reporting. You will have an ability to motivate yourself and others, have excellent organisational skills and be comfortable working under pressure and dealing with changing priorities.
