Summary
As Community Fundraising Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the fundraising activities across the London and South region of the UK. You will manage your own patch covering London and the South East coast, and manage a team of 2 regionally based fundraisers to govern their respective patches.

Main Responsibilities
You will be responsible for overseeing the community fundraising activity across London and the South region of the UK, supporting the Senior Management Team to deliver the national Community Fundraising strategy.
You will manage your own patch in London and line manage 2 regionally based fundraisers covering the South West and South Central regions. You'll focus on creating amazing experiences for individuals, corporates and community organisations, building loyalty and lifetime value for the organisation.
Ideal Candidate
You will have experience in executing ambitious regional growth plans within Community Fundraising, with demonstrable examples of achieving income growth. You will have a passion for building excellent relationships with your supporters to increase loyalty and life-long relationships with the charity, alongside an ability to develop new supporters via a variety of income streams including regional corporates.
You will have demonstrable experience of using insight and data to make recommendations for income growth and to further support relationships with supporters.
It is desirable, but not essential, that you have experience in directly managing staff members. But you could be the ideal person for this role if you have transferable skills in developing others to create an environment of support and high performance, and a passion to develop in this area.

Job description
We’re recruiting for a new Fundraising Manager to build on the growth and development we’ve experienced in recent years, and move us to the next level. You will work closely with senior leadership and colleagues across the organisation to
raise crucial funding, public support and awareness to underpin our organisationalstrategy. You will also develop and manage relationships with supporters and funders, as well as strategic partners and external suppliers as required.

As Trust and Corporate Fundraising Manager, you will support the development and delivery of the fundraising plan, proactively researching and pursuing new income opportunities, with targets for fundraising applications to trusts & foundations, military charities, and corporate foundations. You will develop strategic and collaborative relationships with funders to maximise income and ensure excellent supporter care. You will write and submit compelling, evidence-based funding applications, targeted to the priorities and criteria of the funder. You will also provide excellent stewardship of all funders, building on the existing stewardship framework.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A strong track record of achieving fundraising targets, with demonstrable experience in grant fundraising, charitable foundations, corporate foundations, lottery or statutory sources.
- Excellent research and prospecting skills to create a pipeline of relevant opportunities.
- Proven ability to tailor and personalise applications and presentations that reflect the individual priorities of the funders whilst accurately and clearly describing our work and impact.
- Demonstrable stewardship experience, with the ability to manage and prioritise a portfolio of supporters working to deadlines and agreed targets.

About the Role:
As Trusts and Corporate Fundraising Manager, you will design and implement a comprehensive fundraising programme to secure support from trusts, foundations, corporate partners, and the local community. Working closely with the CFO, you will lead efforts to meet the Trust’s strategic objectives, from organising events to nurturing long-term relationships with key funders. This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible difference by raising funds that directly benefit students and educational initiatives across the Trust.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver a fundraising strategy that aligns with the Trust’s goals
- Secure funding from trusts, foundations, and corporate sponsors, including preparing compelling cases for support
- Build and manage strong relationships with donors, corporate partners, and community groups
- Oversee fundraising events and support PTA activities within schools
- Maintain fundraising data in line with GDPR and regulatory standards
About You:
You will need to be experienced fundraising professional, ideally with experience in trust and corporate fundraising. You will have a sound understanding of fundraising regulations and Gift Aid, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Your ability to manage projects independently and build robust partnerships will be essential in driving forward the Trust’s fundraising ambitions.

We’re so excited to be working with Acorns Children’s Hospice on their Corporate Partnership Fundraising Manager (Corporate) role. Acorns Children’s Hospice operates three hospices in the West Midlands, offering specialist palliative care and support for children and their families. This role will be responsible for engaging with local businesses to secure support for Acorns’ Walsall hospice, then manage these relationships to retain their support.
The Partnership Fundraising Manager (Corporate) will work directly with the Walsall hospice to create tailored funding proposals for prospective corporate partners. You’ll also work collaboratively with other teams across Acorns to identify non-financial aspects of support that can be provided by your corporate partners, such as volunteering, pro bono or donation-in-kind support.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Experience of corporate partnership acquisition within a charity setting
- Strong relationship management skills, and evidence of building long-term corporate partnerships.
- High level communications skills with the ability to influence effectively and network at all levels.
Salary: £37,000 - £44,000
