Summary

Main Responsibilities
You will be the first point of contact for people fundraising in their community for Diabetes UK, from doing a skydive to organising a bake sale. You will ensure they receive an excellent experience from the charity and support them to raise as much as they can and become life-long supporters.
You will also provide administrative support to the wider Community Fundraising team and build effective working relationships to do so in a professional, timely and effective way.
Ideal Candidate
You will have experience in providing excellent customer experience, within a charity or another sector. You will also have strong abilities in managing competing deadlines and organising your time effectively to prioritise your workload. You will also be able to effectively build working relationships with your colleagues in a professional manner and demonstrate high standards of written and verbal communication.
It is not expected that you will have experience of working in a fundraising team, but transferable skills and a passion to learn.

Main Responsibilities
As a Fundraising Events Coordinator you will provide an excellent customer experience to participants taking on fundraising events for Diabetes UK. The Fundraising Events Coordinator will provide professional, timely and engaging support that enhances supporter stewardship and maximises income generation.
You'll be supporting the Fundraising Events Managers, acting as first point of contact for our supporters, providing admin support through telephone, email, and social media channels. You'll build and manage relationships with existing and new supporters. From registration to the end of their supporter journey, you'll help create amazing experiences for our event participants, from the moment they engage with Diabetes UK, building loyalty that lasts beyond event day. This role works with data through maintaining our database and you'll also need to update records on platforms like JustGiving and Enthuse. This requires accuracy and working under the requirements of GDPR.
Assigned 'lead coordinator' on high profile events, you will support the Event Manager with the development and delivery of events from setting up registration forms all the way through to post-event thanking. You'll also work with other teams and suppliers that support the planning and delivery of our activity. You'll help engage with our digital adverts and identify compelling supporter stories.
You may also be responsible for management of your own projects as well as maintaining & optimising administrative systems and processes.

Main Purpose of The Position
The Fundraising Manager will work closely with the Thai-Karen team and Director of KHT to secure funding to support the successful operation of the charity and implement projects in KHT’s three key programme areas: Community Health; Sustainable Livelihoods; and Access to Education. The role will be primarily desk based but with opportunities to travel to the field. The successful candidate will be directly responsible for:
• Developing and implementing KHT’s fundraising strategy;
• Applying for grants from foundations, corporations, and individuals;
• Implement Prospect Research on existing and new potential donors (major gifts, corporates, trusts and foundations, individual donors) and creating solicitation plans, informing the Director on updates and activities implementation;
• Implementing KHT’s volunteer strategy, ensuring it provides funding to KHT’s projects;
• Ensuring our donors are engaged with high quality materials.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for the following duties:
1. Develop and maintain a fundraising strategy with the Director, paying particular attention to increasing unrestricted funding opportunities.
2. Help develop and implement a CSR strategy to better engage corporations.
3. Manage grant applications for our projects to existing and new funders, who may be foundations, corporations, or individual donors.
4. Implement Prospect Research on existing and new potential donors (major gifts, corporates, trusts and foundations, individual donors) and creating solicitation plans, informing the Director on updates and activities implementation;
5. Check and constantly update Donorfy database, in coordination with KHT Director and KHT Finance Administrator;
6. Recruit volunteers to join our projects in Thailand, organically and potentially through partnerships.
7. Keep relationship with KHT Board of Trustees, in order to keep them informed on any useful material and initiatives they may help KHT with.
8. Implement community fundraising activities and organise talks and fundraising events, with the support and help of KHT Trustees and volunteers.
9. Ensure that the organisation communicates regularly with its supporters, creating bespoke messages to increase engagement and donations and supporting social media content.
10. Ensure that the organisation complies with fundraising regulations set by the Charity Commission, Fundraising Regulator, and other relevant bodies.
11. Visit our team in Northern Thailand on an occasional basis (likely once a year) to better understand our work on the ground and support fundraising initiatives.
12. To perform other such duties as may be required by the Director, which are consistent with the responsibilities of the post.
Person Specification
You’ll likely have:
• Several years of experience in a relevant role fundraising for registered charities.
• Demonstrable success in securing funding through grant applications and by engaging donors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-level written communications in English and adapt writing style for an array of different audiences.
• Knowledge of Charity Commission/Fundraising Regulator regulations pertaining to fundraising.
• High level of computer literacy and a proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Confidence to present the work of the charity to donors and supporters.
• Capable of working within different cultures and with teams from different economic and cultural backgrounds, where English might not be the first language.
• Well organised, able to prioritise effectively to meet deadlines.

The Fundraising Assistant will be a key member of the fundraising team. OVERVIEW AND JOB PURPOSE
Pump Aid is a dynamic, award winning and growing organisation, which is promoting a radically different approach to aid and development in the WASH sector by establishing Malawi’s first social impact business (Beyond Water) focused on delivering reliable access to clean water for rural communities. We challenge conventional development programmes by taking a business-based approach that ensures long term sustainability and impact for the communities we work with. To support our mission we are recruiting a Communications and Fundraising Officer to help deliver on our ambitious growth plans to reach 2 million people by 2030. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated person with strong communication and interpersonal skills, who can plan and create compelling communications to increase awareness of our work and engage new and existing supporters. Furthermore, you will lead on key areas of our fundraising strategy including annual fundraising campaigns, individual giving and small trusts and foundations.
Roles and Responsibilities
- You will lead on defined elements of Pump Aid’s fundraising strategy: scoping, applications, reporting and management (to largely small to medium sized trusts and foundations, community funders and individuals.)
- You will develop and manage a schedule of compelling communications across a number of channels including social media, web and print that will grow engagement with Beyond Water’s mission.
- You will support the Head of Development to pitch to social impact and philanthropic investors by finding creative ways to differentiate ourselves from traditional approaches to international development.
- You will take responsibility for managing and administrating fundraising income, using Salesforce CRM to keep up to date records of donations, keeping donors updated through regular reports and leveraging annual campaigns including the Big Give Christmas Campaign to maximise individual giving donations.
- Maximise the value and duration of donor support through excellent stewardship and relationship management.
- While office hours are notionally 9:00am to 5:30pm, the demands of a business focussed on Africa, with donors in the UK, USA, Europe and Asia mean a degree of flexibility is required.
Candidate Profile
1. Strong experience in planning and executing communications plans across a variety of mediums (social media, website, blog posts, impact reports) to grow awareness and engagement with the work of our social enterprise
2. Demonstrable success in fundraising within the charity sector; scoping, prospecting, proposal writing and reporting.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to present to a variety of audiences
4. Experienced in home working and able to self-motivate and develop and execute personal work and action plans with limited face to face supervision
5. Demonstrable ability to prioritise and manage conflicting outcomes and objectives and ensure the right job is completed at the right time
6. Works well in a small, dynamic team
7. High level of computer literacy – Canva, Microsoft Office, Salesforce or similar CRM software
8. Well organised and can prioritise work to meet deadlines
9. Experience working in international development is preferable.

About the role
As a Fundraising Assistant, you will collaborate closely with the Supporter Relations Officer and Fundraising Officer. Your contributions will be vital to supporter relations, volunteer, and events programmes. You will serve as the welcoming face for new contacts, ensuring that fundraisers and donors feel appreciated and engaged.
You will support the delivery of our supporter engagement initiatives, crafting and editing communications across various channels, including letters, social media, and reports. Handling phone and email inquiries will be part of your role, ensuring timely follow-up on all communications. You will maintain accurate records on our CRM database, which facilitates effective communication and reporting. Additionally, you will assist in promoting events and managing community fundraisers while contributing to our volunteer programme by helping to onboard and support new volunteers.
About you
We are looking for someone who is eager to grow in the fundraising field and possesses excellent communication skills, along with the ability to build strong relationships. Ideally you will have experience in customer care and familiarity with charity operations will be beneficial. You will have brilliant communication skills and be able to write for a diverse audience.

The Role:

What you will do:

Your focus will primarily be in support of the Individual Giving and Database team; where alongside general administrative duties, you will provide support in keeping our customer relationship data accurate and up to date by running regular checks and data cleansing exercises. You will also support with data analysis to provide insights on our supporter bases and act as a key point of a contact for staff using databases and other relevant software.

Key Duties
