We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Manager to join our small and dynamic team during an exciting period of growth for the organisation. This newly created role will be crucial role in developing and implementing fundraising strategies to support our mission and ensure the financial sustainability of the Charity. It will include identifying new funding opportunities as well as producing several initiatives including building our regular donors, corporate partnerships and legacy campaigns.

This senior role will be part of our communications and fundraising team reporting to the Marketing Director and managing one member of staff initially.

The role

The Senior Network Fundraising Manager is a new and vital role, created to maximise income generation across FareShare’s national team and 18 Network Partners. This role is integral to driving collaboration and establishing a strategic approach to fundraising across multiple sites.

FareShare has a vibrant national fundraising department that has consistently grown the organisation’s new and existing income streams in recent years. As we have grown, so have our regional delivery partners, who are independent charities, each investing in their own fundraising to sustain larger operations. The Senior Network Fundraising Manager will join FareShare’s Fundraising Leadership Team to enhance these efforts through strategic collaboration and clearly defined ways of working to maximise opportunities across our income streams.

Central to this role is the development and co-design of a strategic plan for fundraising across FareShare and our Network Partners. This plan will ensure we are better equipped for income generation, adopting consistent ways of working and a co-ordinated approach, which avoids overlapping our respective audiences and keeps the supporter at the heart of our decision making. 

The Senior Network Fundraising Manager will facilitate and coordinate fundraising activities across multiple partners. This requires involving and inspiring key stakeholders, managing conflicts, setting clear expectations and responsibilities and driving continuous improvements to the way we work together. The role will ensure that the tools, frameworks, resources, monitoring and evaluation methods, and relationships are in place to successfully share information, champion successes and build new funding opportunities across FareShare and our Network Partners.

The role offers a fantastic and unique opportunity to develop a new strategic approach to fundraising across multiple charity partners, operating under the same brand and mission. You will have a strong track record in income generation, and experience or understanding of organisations working together in a federative structure. Cross-team collaboration is crucial to the role, and you will demonstrate strong relationship building, communication and influencing skills.

Main areas of responsibility

1. Lead the development of a Network Fundraising Strategy, incorporating co-designed ways of working and objectives across FareShare Network Partners.

2. Lead on culture change and new ways of working to ensure network partners are consulted and considered in all new fundraising activity.

3. Manage and coordinate FareShare’s monthly forum of network fundraisers and foster a culture of best practice, collective effort, collaboration and learning.

4. Identify network-wide investment projects and support the development of joint funding bids to secure significant income for FareShare and our partners.

5. Ensure national fundraising activity gives full consideration to network fundraising and its potential to be delivered locally.

6. Investigate and take learnings from how local fundraising activity could grow and be delivered nationally.

8. Act as the main point of connection for the flow of information between Network Partners and FareShare’s national fundraising team.

9. Champion the work of the network fundraising teams in cross-department and cross-organisation forums.

10.  Track progress against strategy objectives and regularly review ways of working.  

11.  Play an active role in the leadership of FareShare’s fundraising team and the delivery of our national fundraising strategy.

Join the National Portrait's Gallery’s Development team as Fundraising Manager, Grants. You'll work closely with the Senior Fundraising Manager to support the delivery of an ambitious and exciting fundraising programme and raise income through grant-giving bodies, including Trusts and Foundations, statutory funders, and corporate foundations.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Trust Fundraising Manager with proven experience, to maximise income for Whizz Kidz services from Trusts and Foundations through researching new funding opportunities, creating high quality applications with Service staff and stewarding existing warm funders effectively. 

The Role

As Trust Fundraising Manager you will secure new funding opportunities and work on a pool of warm and cold charitable Trusts with a focus on the £10,000 to £40,000 range.  The role involves researching and qualifying prospects, submitting high quality funding applications and stewarding existing donors effectively. It will also involve managing reporting deadlines and matching potential donors to projects needing to be fundraised for, collaborating with our Service Teams. 

You will prepare applications and reports to trusts and foundations, in line with funder deadlines, keeping in touch with donors and prospects via phone, virtually and face to face. You will match potential donors with projects, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach.

The person

You will have experience of: Securing funding from Trusts with excellent writing and presentation skills; Solid prospect research skills to identify new funding opportunities and maintain a forward pipeline of applications; Of working collaboratively with Service Teams to package and cost project areas; Stewardship of warm funders including preparing donor reports, reviewing financial reports and gathering case studies. You will also have strong time management skills with ability to manage and prioritise your workload and ideally experience of using a CRM for Trust Fundraising.

About the Brent Centre for Young People (BCYP)

The Brent Centre for Young People is the leading mental health charity for young people in Northwest London, helping over 700 young people a year with a wide range of issues. We offer specialised treatment in the areas of depression, suicide prevention, tackling self-harm, eating disorders, exam anxiety and more. Our approach is rooted in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Fundraising at BCYP

BCYP has historically been very successful in raising funds from non-statutory sources, particularly trusts and foundations, and is grateful to hold a number of established relationships with grant- makers. We work hard to ensure that we submit excellent, data-driven applications and evaluations. Virtual events raise significant income and the team is a crucial part of the mass participation department, which sits within public fundraising.  The mass participation department is also responsible for 3rd Party challenges events, bespoke events, gaming and streaming, and product development, raising £6m per year overall.

In Memory Fundraising Manager

We’re looking for a creative and dynamic in memory champion to join our fundraising team at St Christopher’s Hospice. In this pivotal role, you will be able to take your knowledge of in memory fundraising to the next level – developing new and existing in memory fundraising products and inspiring support at all levels of the organisation.

You will be:

• empathetic, able to connect with supporters often at a time when they are most vulnerable
• innovative, striving to find new ways to enable supporters to give in memory
• motivated to achieve results and a self-starter that takes pride in their work
• a team worker, able to forge strong relationships with people at all levels of the organisation
• curious, to learn from the wider in memory fundraising community.

You will have: 

• experience of in memory fundraising and knowledge of fundraising CRM systems such as Raiser’s Edge

 You will lead all on-air fundraising efforts, including the Charity of the Year appeal, working closely with content teams and  external consultants to creatively engage our audience.

As a Fundraising Manager you will:

• Be responsible for the operational delivery of on-air fundraising appeals, including briefing documents, promotional materials, and donation incentives. 
• Review and implement the use of impact audio from on-air appeals, coach presenters during appeals, and manage the On-Air Testimony Producer who secures live donor calls.
• Be a key contributor to the charity’s on-air fundraising programme, overseeing monthly on-air fundraising messaging, script writing, production, and traffic scheduling.
• Contribute ideas for capturing audience data and oversee the execution of on-air data  capture campaigns. 

To be successful, you must have experience:

• Proven experience in fundraising,
• Demonstrated success in working with external consultants and content teams to creatively deliver successful fundraising campaigns.
• Broad understanding of the Church and a Christian audience.
• Working experience of radio broadcast systems including creation of clocks in systems such as Zetta would be an advantage.
• Experience driving a radio studio desk would be an advantage.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Photoshop and other regularly used  applications.
• Excellent team working skills.
• Excellent communication skills, written, oral and public speaking.

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

About the role

As the new Community and Events Fundraising Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing The Passage's Community Fundraising strategy, designed to inspire and engage both existing and new supporters, ultimately building a stable and sustainable income pipeline.

Main duties

• Help deliver the teams’ existing events and community fundraising products, growing net income and actively seeking new opportunities for expansion.
• Act as an ambassador for The Passage with community groups, personally delivering talks and presentations to build relationships and promote our work.
• Manage and oversee a programme of station and street collections, ensuring that volunteers are trained and equipped to represent The Passage with the public.
• Manage current community and events fundraising relationships with individual supporters and groups by providing outstanding, tailored stewardship to generate income.
• Help deliver and develop a range of The Passage owned and third-party events and activities.
• Produce and manage the Community Fundraising income and expenditure annual plan and budget.

Desired experience

• Developing and implementing community fundraising plans and activities and a proven track record in growing income.

• Direct experience of working with community groups or local organisations such as schools, churches and universities, generating new leads and managing partnerships.
