Are you an outstanding Programme Compliance/Funding Specialist?
We are proud to be partnering with an environmental focused grant giving and programmes focused charity to find an Interim Programme Funding Manager. The duration of this role is expected to be for 3-6 months with scope to become permanent. Fully remote and UK based.
The Programme Funding Manager will provide cross-team support to strengthen the organisation’s funding and budget management functions and ensure the successful delivery of the organisation’s grantmaking and other programmatic activities. This will include collaborating with multiple teams internationally, including the Programmes, Grants Management, Finance and Philanthropic Partnerships teams, to design and implement systems, processes and improvements to ensure high quality budget management and high standards of donor and regulatory compliance across all funded activity.
The role will also be responsible for the budget management of all programmatic activities, working with Programmes colleagues, Advisory Board representatives, donor relationship managers, Finance staff and others to ensure funds are spent appropriately in line with project plans and donor obligations.
You will design and implement systematic and operational improvements to ensure high standards of donor compliance and budget and funding management across the organisation, in partnership with the global Operations, Grants Management, Programmes, Finance and Philanthropic Partnerships / Development teams.
You will ensure that funded activities are managed responsibly in order to align with donor requirements; maintain a good understanding of donor budgets and contractual obligations and coordinate with Philanthropic Partnerships colleagues to ensure compliance. You will also provide timely, accurate information on funded activities to support the completion of high-quality donor proposals and reports as required.
This role will also require programme support and you will project manage specific donor-funded activities where the charity holds responsibility for implementation, especially in relation to outsourced consultancy work where the supplier contract is held. This includes working closely with Programmes and Philanthropic Partnerships teams to define roles and responsibilities and implementation timeframes; monitoring progress; and identifying and resolving potential challenges with implementation.
This role is fully remote although will require quarterly visits to London for team get togethers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Programme Coordination and Project Delivery
- To work closely with the Director of Strategy and Programmes to coordinate and support the delivery of all our programmes to achieve the outputs and outcomes agreed with our funders.
- To support with event management both online and face to face including providing technical support to participants on platforms for online training, including driving all courses hosted on Zoom, and providing excellent customer service to all engaging with our work.
- To support evaluations through providing and analysing data to use in reporting to funders and stakeholders.
- To lead on programme administration and funder updates, including tracking key data on platforms including Arts Council Annual Survey, Julie’s Bicycle, Illuminate and Salesforce.
- To support with the administration of programme activity by attending and writing minutes for key meetings, drawing up programme contracts, aiding with diary management, filing, liaising with key personnel, and conducting phone or zoom conversations as needed.
- To support with the financial administration of our programmes through invoicing and managing participant expenses.
- To take part in training and attending any networking events as required, including potential out-of-hours events such as our 3-day residentials, to represent Cause4 externally when required.
- To contribute to Cause4’s overall business development when required, and being pro-active in terms of personal development, working alongside the line-manager to build key objectives for growth within Cause4.
Marketing and Communications
- To oversee and manage the day-to-day communications of our programmes, including managing our dedicated programme inboxes, liaising with participants, trainers and partners as needed.
- To set-up and publicise key events, projects and training opportunities on all programme websites and relevant platforms, including Eventbrite.
- To support the Programmes team to achieve public-facing training sales targets for our programmes through implementation of the marketing plan.
- To support with communications and marketing by curating social media content (SmarterQueue), programme newsletters (Mailchimp), graphics (Canva), and blogs.
- To support updating the website on a regular basis with support from the web designer and to be a coordinating lead and contributor in writing for key publications such as the digital Now, New and Next publication.
- To research and develop our audiences and networks, in line with our priority areas, regularly updating our databased to ensure key contacts are in place.
- To lead on the analytics of our marketing data, collating vital information from SmarterQueue, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google Analytics.
This is a remote (home) working role, with opportunities to meet with the Cause4 team at regular events throughout the year in London, Cambridge, and other locations.

Here at Brain Tumour Research, we are looking for a Volunteer and Member Charity Coordinator who can manage all elements of volunteering and our member charities including recruitment, awareness raising and stewarding for Brain Tumour Research. A Volunteer and Member Charity Coordinator is key to monitoring evaluating and encouraging volunteers whilst working with the Community Fundraising team to ensure events run smoothly by making sure we have enough volunteers to meet our resource needs.
Volunteer and Member Charity Co-ordinator
Location: Head Office, Milton Keynes. We offer a hybrid working model, where team members are expected to be in the office for a minimum of three days per week.
Salary: £28,500 per annum
Contract / Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week
Benefits: Holiday entitlement, 25 days per annum, excluding UK Public Holidays, death in service policy, access to a Employee Assistance Programme and option to join our healthcare scheme.
About the Role
This role is a great opportunity for you to play a major role in fundraising and support care. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of a progressive and sensational medical research fundraising charity. Someone with the hopes of developing their skills and knowledge as a Volunteer and Member Charity Co-ordinator through research and updating volunteer policies and procedures. This will also include risk assessments and mediation with other departments within Brain Tumour Research to understand how they work, develop partnerships and assess their needs.

The Philanthropy and Global Engagement Division (PAGE) serves, engages and works in partnership with alumni and friends, staff and students, volunteers, donors, global partners, organisations and the wider community to further the strategic aims of the School. The Proposition Development Executive will support the development of fundraising projects to maximise philanthropic support for key areas of the School’s work. This includes developing propositions, creating and maintaining repositories of information on fundraising projects, and supporting activities that help colleagues from the Division of Philanthropy and Global Engagement, and the wider School, to communicate philanthropic investment opportunities to external and internal audiences.
The candidate
· Experience of working in a role delivering end-to-end management of projects with complex internal and external stakeholder relationships.
· Strong critical thinking skills. Ability to draw out and interrogate information, anticipating challenges and opportunities.
· Excellent communicator. Able to condense complex information into digestible forms and influence and motivate colleagues at various levels of seniority.
· Ability to think strategically and tactically about the relationship between institutional needs, potential donors and philanthropic goals.
· Ability to work effectively on numerous projects simultaneously and to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances.
