About this key role
As a valued and integral part of the Fundraising and Communications team, our successful candidate will lead a small sub-team to generate at least £500,000 income each year, including the direct line management of a Senior Fundraising Officer, who you will support to line manage the Fundraising Assistant. We will count on you to implement effective processes and procedures across the fundraising and collaborating teams, manage and refine processes for recordkeeping and devise, maintain and update our Fundraising Handbook.
You will also be expected to manage the development and implementation of our Individual Giving Strategy and our Individual Giving income stream through single and regular giving appeals, as well as managing a portfolio of challenge events nationally that provides excellent stewardship for a range of participants. Developing and designing high-quality applications, presentations, and pitches to secure five-, six- and seven figure funding opportunities from Trusts & Foundations, Community Partners and High Net Worth Individuals is a key element of this role, as is providing excellent stewardship to existing donors.

The Senior Fundraising Officer will play a key role in the Fundraising Team helping to generate significant and increased income from charitable trusts and foundations and corporate partners.
The role will be responsible for ensuring a regular pipeline of new and existing income from both areas and ensuring partners are stewarded appropriately to maximise engagement with the charity’s aims and objectives.

- Identify, research and develop new trusts and foundations leads.

Responsibilities and Duties

Lambourne End Centre are looking to recruit a Fundraising and Marketing Coordinator. First Days was started in 2013 in response to needs in the local community in Berkshire. Quite simply: there were people with stuff they didn't need and people who desperately needed it. Having just finished an extensive rebrand of the organisation we are now looking to recruit a new member of the team who can fully capitalise on the potential this offers the charity to reengage with the public. You'll be supporting the development and roll out of a bold, new Communications strategy for 999 Club.
Leading on public engagement via Social Media, Direct Marketing, PR and Media, the post also offers the opportunity to learn about and contribute towards all other aspects of charity fundraising, including Community, Challenge events and Individual Giving. You will also be maintaining our Donorfy database and lending vital admin support the team.

The role of a Community Fundraising Executive is raising charitable donations, by building meaningful and engaging relationships to work with the communities we serve in the West Midlands. This is an exciting new role within the fundraising and communications team and we are seeking an energetic, confident and proactive fundraiser to join our team. This role will require a lot of travel and focuses specifically on developing our education, clubs and faith groups fundraising income streams. Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and Communications and the rest of the fundraising team, you will develop innovative ways to engage with new audiences and maintain current relationships, to achieve our annual fundraising targets

They’re an agile and flexible team and you’ll be joining at a time of investment in fundraising, having recently employed their first full-time Head of Fundraising. It’s an exciting time to join the organisation as they develop a new strategy to take them to 2030 with fundraising playing a key role in the organisation’s growth. They have a small but generous group of funders who have supported The Difference and as Trust & Foundations Manager you will work to grow the pipeline of trust funders and work closely with the Head of Fundraising to develop a fundraising strategy.
You will manage, develop, and grow The Difference’s portfolio of trusts and foundation donors, supporting to diversify their donor base and secure high value, long term support. This post will manage trust income in line with donor requirements, identifying and building relationships with new prospects and submitting high quality and engaging reports and proposals. You will feel real ownership over your work and need to be self-starting, flexible and hungry to grow with the charity.
The position will:
- Write compelling funding applications and grant reports to trusts and foundations at 5- and 6-figure level
- Grow multi-year restricted and unrestricted income from existing and new donors and support the growth of overall income from £1.25m to £1.9m annually in next 3 years
- Work closely with the Head of Fundraising to support with strategy and growth plans
- Develop and expand meaningful engagement opportunities that can be offered to funders
Ideal skills and experience:
- Experience developing bids and applications for 5+ figure grants
- Proven ability to write compelling, well-organised content which turns complex ideas and detail into summaries that can effectively engage different audiences
- Experience overseeing management of end-to-end stewardship journeys, from prospect to long-term engagement, and building relationships with foundation trustees and grant managers
- Knowledge and passion of working in the education sector

Harris Hill are delighted to be working with a fantastic community related charity to recruit for a Senior Fundraising Events Lead in order to generate income to ensure agreed targets are met, via a portfolio of specific event and fundraising projects.
As a Senior Fundraising Events Lead you will:
- Engage existing and new supporters in the charity’s work and develop relationships with volunteer committees, maximising their fundraising potential for the benefit of the organisation, and assist in other fundraising events projects as requested by the Fundraising & Events Manager.
- Have management over the Community Fundraising Portfolio and be responsible for the growth and development of this area.
As a member of the Team the Senior Events Lead will lead as an ambassador for the charity in fundraising initiatives.
In order to be successful, you must have experienced :
- Experience of implementing and managing a variety of fundraising events
- Previous experience of UK fundraising or relevant experience in income generation through consumer-focused sales and marketing activity with demonstrable success at delivering to and beyond targets
- Experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience of budgetary management – monitoring and keeping track of income and expenditure
- Good IT skills, including proficiency in the use of databases
- A good knowledge of organising fundraising and corporate events
