As Head of Development, you will be a key member of a small team. Reporting to the incoming Chief Executive, you will develop and implement the preexisting fundraising strategy and guide the organisation’s communications and PR strategy. You will inherit a strategically developed portfolio of relationships and income streams, with particular strengths in trusts and foundations, and a strong network of individual donors and scope to build corporates. There is also a small but growing legacy circle, created in response to a recent bequest of £1M+. You will line manage a small team of two: the Development & Communications Coordinator, and the Marketing & Communications Coordinator. With ambitions to expand upon NYJO’s existing work, your ability to set and achieve more ambitious targets will be essential.

As Head of Development, you will:
- Develop and implement the existing fundraising strategy and develop marketing and communications efforts, ensuring cohesive and impactful messaging to effectively engage donors and stakeholders
- Deliver a high standard of supporter care and relationship management tailored to the level of giving, including nurturing their successful new Legacy Club
- Manage and attend an annual series of fundraising events, from relaxed open days to formal receptions
- Oversee NYJO marketing and communications
- Line manage the Development & Communications Coordinator and the Marketing & Communications Coordinator
Ideal skills and experience:
- Experience of securing 5- and 6-figure grants from a range of trust, statutory and/or individual sources
- Tailoring applications to appeal to a diverse range of funders/donors, which may include drawing together distinct areas of activity to create bespoke packages
- An outgoing, approachable, confident and professional manner in dealing with donors, prospects and other stakeholders
- Interest in UK Jazz and enthusiasm for working with young artists and musicians and broadening access to participatory arts for all young people

Senior Individual Giving Officer

This is a new role at the DEC and developed as a key part of the DEC’s 2024-2029 strategy. The DEC has a wide range of established relationships with trusts and foundations, many of which give 6- and 7-figure sums to DEC appeals. The Trusts & Foundations Manager will be responsible for providing excellent stewardship to our portfolio of trusts and foundations. Administrative Compliance: Lead and manage, robust and professional grant management, ensuring systems and processes are fit for purpose, streamlined and accessible. Remain compliant with grant terms and conditions, ensuring you are clearly communicating the unique contours of the DEC model whilst providing comprehensive and inspiring impact reporting.
Relationship Management: Maintain regular contact and collaboration with internal teams to collate a high-quality suite of communication materials and stewardship plans specific to a trust and foundation audience. Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitor, measure and evaluate progress against the DEC’s strategic goals and funds raised from trusts and foundations. Secret World Wildlife Rescue (SWWR) exists to relieve the suffering of British wildlife, to encourage respect and tolerance for wildlife and to further its conservation. SWWR strives to do this by:

Substantial experience of management of teams at both strategic and tactical level including developing skills, abilities, performance management and confidence in staff is required as are high level speaking skills.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference by playing a vital role in our work across the North East. Reporting into the local team and supported by the national fundraising team, this role will be responsible for engaging volunteers both as individuals and groups across the area to raise funds for MHA. You will work closely with all MHA services, building relationships and inspiring and empowering local fundraising to enable those who choose to use our services to thrive. This will include supporting those who wish to fundraise In Memory and utilising MHA’s fundraising products.
A portion of your time will also be spent working in collaboration with community fundraisers across the country on fundraising initiatives and guides which will benefit both your area and community fundraising nationally.
The role will provide an effective and efficient service supporting the organisation and our homes and schemes to meet our vision, values and strategic objectives.

About You
Are you a passionate and skilled community fundraiser keen to play a key role in building a local network of community fundraising volunteers? Do you have a passion for working with supporters, building meaningful relationships and inspiring supporters whilst ensuring your work aligns with the results we need? Our vision is to create a world where people with PWS receive the services and supports they need to fulfil their potential and achieve their goals. PWS is a complex genetic disorder characterised by low muscle tone and failure to thrive at birth, and later evidence of short stature, intellectual disabilities, behavioural and psychiatric challenges and impaired satiety.

Main purpose and scope of role
Working closely with the President and the Board of Trustees, the CEO will provide strategic vision and leadership and will strive to ensure that IPWSO delivers its charitable purposes and remains successful and sustainable.
Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not limited to)
Leadership
· Strive to ensure that the charitable purposes of IPWSO are followed and that it delivers the public benefit set out in its governing document.
· Take overall responsibility for the management and administration of IPWSO.
· Provide support and information to the Board of Trustees to enable trustees to fulfil their roles and legal responsibilities.
· Pursue close cooperation with, and accountability to, IPWSO’s members.
· Act as an ambassador for IPWSO by representing IPWSO at events and networking to build new strategic relationships.
· Keep abreast of relevant new research, treatment recommendations and service developments for people with Prader-Willi syndrome.
Governance
· Strive to ensure that IPWSO has governance systems in place that enable it to consistently fulfil its legal, statutory and regulatory responsibilities.
· Maintain awareness of risks and changes in the external environment that could affect IPWSO and advise the Board of Trustees accordingly.
· Together with the President manage complaints (including from whistle-blowers) and recommend actions to the Board of Trustees
Finance and Fundraising
· Work with the Treasurer and the Finance Committee to ensure the overall financial health and sustainability of IPWSO.
· Work with the Treasurer and the Finance Committee to prepare budgets for review by the Board of Trustees and to enable IPWSO to operate within its financial means.
· Seek to ensure that appropriate financial reports are submitted to the Charity Commission and other entities as required.
· Support the work of the Fundraising Committee and strive to ensure a sustainable income from both IPWSO members and individual, corporate, philanthropic and government donors.

The Role
Reporting to the Head of Individual Giving, the Database and Insight Manager role will help to continue to transform the way the Charity uses data to make decisions and support our fundraising strategy.
The post holder will directly manage a team of 3 and will be responsible for ensuring the CRM is kept up to date and accurate as well as providing the Charity with the best possible insight, tracking, recording, and processing of all supporter interactions.
The person will:
· Develop and provide robust, high quality and insightful KPI reports, dashboards and analysis for each area of the charity.
