The Role
Deliver the Philanthropy and Special Events Strategy, in turn securing income from HNWIs.
Assist with the development and delivery of a calendar of cultivation and stewardship events in order to raise awareness of the cause, and help retain existing donors and engage new prospects.
Build, manage and maintain a portfolio of donors from 5,000 gifts upwards, stewarding relationships to ensure donor satisfaction and long-term financial commitment.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues in Fundraising to identify major donor prospects and opportunities to maximise donor experience.
The Candidate
Experience of relationship management and development, including delivery of high quality supporter care.
Proven experience in philanthropy fundraising having personally secured five figure gifts from a major donor
Proven ability to proactively seek and secure new prospects

This role is maternity cover for the Head of Fundraising.
The Fundraising and Business Development Manager is a really exciting position which will play a key role in driving growth and sustainability for FearFree by identifying and securing new funding opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and enhancing our service delivery.

Marketing and Communications:

Originally founded in 1823, Seashell Trust is a nationally recognised and registered charity based in Cheadle Hulme, Stockport. The Trust comprises of the Royal School Manchester, the Royal College Manchester, bespoke Residential Care Homes, Outreach Health and Family Services that support over 8,000 people a year. In 2015 we raised £10 million to build our residential care facility Sir Norman Stoller Way and in 2023, opened The Moulding Foundation building, a £25 million home for Royal School Manchester. We are now turning to the next phase of the campus development, to build a new £30 million home for our Royal College Manchester. The Ged Mason building is due to open in early 2026.
About the role
Your role will contribute to Seashell’s ambitious plans to grow income over the next five years, so that we can deliver the very best education and care for our children and young adults.
Key Responsibilities
· Raise income in line with agreed personal and team fundraising targets
· Develop and prepare bespoke funding applications for capital, restricted and unrestricted projects
· Maintain and develop existing relationships with small and medium-sized trusts and foundations and support prospecting to grow the portfolio.
· Record financial and other data relating to trusts, foundations and major donors on our CRM, in line with GDPR guidelines.
· Maintain accurate income records and ensure donations are acknowledged in a timely and appropriate way.
· Share project information, budgets and statistics gathered for appeals with the wider fundraising team.
· Ensure student information in funding appeals is appropriate and consented for use.
· Work with the fundraising team to support tours of the campus and host supporters at Seashell fundraising events on occasional evenings and weekends.
What you will need for the role:
· Previous experience in a fundraising role for a charitable organisation.
· Demonstratable track record of income generation through trust and foundation fundraising.
· Knowledge of technology and IT Systems, including Microsoft Office and CRMs.
· Experience of financial management including developing income spreadsheets and raising invoices.
· Excellent communication and relationship development skills.
· Enthusiasm and commitment to giving the children and young adults at Seashell the best opportunities.

We are incredibly delighted to be working with Community Hospice in their search for an excellent Challenge Events Fundraiser. Community Hospice seeks to support people to live as well as they can, for as long as they can.
The postholder will play a key role in a busy fundraising team, responsible for maximising engagement, support and income generation through third-party and hospice-led bespoke challenge events. As part of the role, you will lead the charge in executing a variety of unique and high-impact fundraising activities – ensuring that every event delights our supporters. You will create thoughtful stewardship plans to maximise on experience, lifetime engagement and income generated. You will also undertake post event data analysis for every event, reporting against KPIs, costs against budget and capturing learnings.
To be successful in the role of Challenge Events Fundraiser, you will need:
- At least one year experience in a similar role, with experience in a working environment of interfacing with a variety of people and delivering excellent customer care.
- Experience of working to targets and identifying opportunities for development.
- An understanding of the hospice and the services that it provides, with understanding of the importance of excellent donor care processes.

The Prince of Wales Hospice provides specialist palliative care for adults with a terminal diagnosis, and those around them. The hospice offers a 14-bedroom ward for patients who need round the clock care as well as a Wellbeing service – in total The Prince of Wales Hospice cares for over 300 people a year!
The care provided at The Prince of Wales Hospice concentrates on quality of life and the alleviation of distressing psychological, spiritual, physical and social symptoms. It also includes support in bereavement. To provide this care, they have a highly skilled team with a wide range of specialisms.
Despite costing £12,000 a day to run the hospice and £4m a year, all of the services are entirely free of charge to patients and their families. We are looking for an experienced Individual Giving Fundraiser to join the fundraising team at this fabulous hospice.
The Role
As Individual Giving Fundraiser you will be responsible for planning and executing appropriate in-memory, legacy and general mailed appeals & marketing campaigns. Duties will include:
- Building a plan to promote in-mem & celebration fundraising
- Working collaboratively with the Fundraising and Marketing Teams delivering campaigns and communications across all channels to maximise income streams
- Managing legacy administration, building and stewarding strong, mutually beneficial relationships with solicitors, will writers, spiritual leaders and funeral directors
- Actively contributing to the development of the Income Generation Business Plan and budgets
- Working with Local Hospice Lottery (liaising with 3rd party provider) to increase the number of venues & players
The Person
To be successful in this extremely exciting role we are looking for an experienced and personable fundraiser. You will possess excellent writing and communication skills, along with experience of using a customer relationship management database and knowledge of fundraising CRM.
Experience of creating engaging appeals with budgets and on time is desirable as is experience line managing or supervising staff or volunteers. You will be willing and able to independently travel to external meetings and events and have the ability to show empathy with good emotional intelligence. Maintaining a positive professional approach when representing the Hospice will be essential at all times.

We are looking for a Community and Challenge Events Fundraiser to create and deliver an engaging programme of mass participation and community fundraising activities to meet agreed, ambitious targets, enhancing the support base and driving income.
