Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours/week)

Salary: £16.50/hour

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), an internationally renowned humanitarian organization, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Face-to-Face Private Site Coordinator to lead their face-to-face (F2F) fundraising team in Glasgow. This exciting role is at the forefront of MSF’s fundraising efforts, directly supporting their vital medical work in crisis zones around the world.

About the Role:

As the Face-to-Face Private Site Coordinator, you will play a key role in driving MSF’s donor recruitment and income generation strategy. In this position, you will lead and support a team of fundraisers, ensuring they consistently meet or exceed performance targets while maintaining the highest levels of professionalism and compliance. You will be responsible for providing guidance, coaching, and motivation to your team, fostering a culture of excellence and ethical fundraising practices. Additionally, you will ensure that all activities align with MSF’s mission and values, while effectively contributing to the growth of MSF’s supporter base and financial sustainability.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Team Leadership and Management:
    • Recruit, train, and line-manage a team of up to 10 fundraisers and team leaders.
    • Provide coaching, performance feedback and ongoing support to ensure team members achieve individual and collective targets.
    • Dedicate 60% of your time on-site, providing hands-on leadership, motivating the team, and leading by example by engaging with potential donors.
  • Strategic Development:
    • Work closely with MSF’s F2F Programme Lead to refine the fundraising strategy and contribute to the pilot program’s success.
    • Help achieve the long-term donor and income goals for the campaign.
    • Develop and implement plans to optimise fundraising performance, retention, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Manage relationships with site brokers and recruitment agencies to ensure access to prime locations and quality candidates.
    • Ensure all team activities comply with GDPR, safeguarding policies, and fundraising regulations.
    • Oversee a delegated private site budge, ensuring resources are used effectively.
  •  Safeguarding and Compliance:
    • Act as the first point of contact for safeguarding concerns within the team, ensuring compliance with MSF’s policies.
    • Regularly review practices to maintain a safe and supportive working environment for all team members.

What We’re Looking For:

The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader in face-to-face fundraising, with a proven ability to motivate and guide a high-performing team. We are seeking someone who:

  • Brings extensive experience in managing F2F fundraising teams, with a proven history of consistently meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Has expert knowledge of private site fundraising and a deep understanding of Scotland’s fundraising landscape.
  • Demonstrates exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring team members and building strong relationships with supporters.
  • Exhibits resilience, adaptability, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, results oriented environment.
  • Highly organized, IT-savvy, and experienced with fundraising platforms such as Evergiving.
  • Flexible with travel within Glasgow and across the UK when needed.
  • Possesses a strong understanding of safeguarding best practices and their implementation in face-to-face fundraising.
  • Fully committed to MSF’s humanitarian mission and values.
  • Has thorough understanding and extensive knowledge of safeguarding needs and risks within a F2F team.
