About the role
A full time position has become available for an 18 month fixed term contract to cover a maternity leave position. This is an exciting opportunity to join the SPACE (Specialist Paediatric PAlliative CarE) service with a practice development opportunity. The post holder will join the team as a Band 6 and with support will gain clinical competence and leadership skills around complex symptom assessment, management and End of Life..
The post holder will provide holistic care and support to Children and Young People (CYP) with life limiting conditions and their families as a key member of the SPACE service. This care is provided in the community, hospitals and at the hospice, the post holder will be required to work in all settings but will primarily be based at the hospice.

As Educational Partnerships Manager you will be a key contributor to the South Central & East of England regional educational partnerships team, supporting the team to achieve shared KPIs for the region and the wider organisation. Within this role you will carry a significant responsibility, managing a caseload of clients from a refugee background and supporting them in securing meaningful employment, training, and education opportunities.
You will provide one-to-one personalised support, delivering quality Information Advice and Guidance (IAG), alongside ongoing support to ensure your clients have all the skills they need to get into work. This involves working with clients to produce individual action plans with clear goals and actions to overcome identified needs and barriers and provide a clear pathway towards the labour market.
You will work with clients online and by phone, as well as in person to monitor their progress towards their goals. Complementary support will be delivered through our volunteers who are trained in delivering employment advice, and you will book weekly appointments for clients, allocating time slots according to availability and the volunteer’s specialty.

We are looking for an empathic and resilient individual to join a friendly and well-established team of part-time, remote-based Information and Support Officers, on a 12-month contract. The purpose of this role is to provide a holistic, client-centred, effective and efficient Information and Support Service to people affected by M.E. We do this primarily via outgoing calls made in response to triaged voicemail messages, and also via email.
You can choose to be home-based anywhere in the UK, work from our Bristol office, or a hybrid of the two.
Our Information and Support Service team has a deep understanding of the issues affecting people with M.E. and their family and carers. Some of our clients come to us in considerable distress so this work isn’t always easy, but it can be incredibly rewarding and is valued by our clients and the wider organisation.
You will need experience of working in a service providing information, advice, support or advocacy by telephone and email (or proven transferable skills). You will be experienced and confident at working with people in distress, and identifying and escalating safeguarding concerns, with the courage and emotional resilience to set and maintain realistic boundaries.

Financial Accountant

The client is a large UK charity seeking a qualified Accountant or Finalist.
Reporting into the Head of Financial Accounts, your responsibilities will be:
- Assist in the preparation of the annual accounts of the Group and all subsidiaries to the required format.
- Preparation of schedules and journals of Financial Accounting Team in more complex and technical areas, such as investments, property sales, legacies, endowments, restricted funds.
- Support the Head of Financial Accounting in managing the year-end accounts timetable through provision of appropriate documentation to support audit queries.
- Assist with the internal audit process and closure of any control points arising
- Work collaboratively with other Financial Accountants and Finance Business partners to ensure timely and accurate production of the monthly trial balance including journal postings, accruals and prepayments to enable the accurate generation of reports.
- Support with quality assurance over reconciliation activity within the Financial Accounting Team, assisting in the review of reconciliations, ensuring the timely closure of balancing items and designing appropriate controls and spot checks.
- Oversee the update and maintenance of the Fixed Assets register, including correct calculation and recognition of depreciation and asset adjustments ensuring that policies are being applied correctly
- Assist Head of Financial Accounting in submission of all Corporation Tax and VAT returns through provision of data required for completion for tax packs and VAT schedules.
The client will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis.

Key Responsibilities
- Development and implementation of our current events strategy & delivery model, building appropriate supporter journeys for all event participants/attendees, whilst providing outstanding customer service
- Develop and execute participant recruitment plans to meet registration targets.
- You will have a good understanding of effective marketing channels and digital advertising campaigns for driving participation
- Ensure that events remain within budget and that expenditure is monitored continuously and income targets are met.

Person Specification
- Experience of running successful challenge event programmes.
- Experience in both in person and virtual event management.
- Manage a team with multiple responsibilities to exceed KPI’s and income targets.
- Experience in due diligence of event suppliers and excellent risk management skills.
- The ability to think strategically and take data-driven decisions as well as work operationally to get things done.
- Demonstrable evidence of behaviour in line with the core values of TAAS throughout career to date.
