The Role:
As a Community and Events Fundraiser, you will:

About the Role
The Assistant Reserves Officer is one of our team managing and developing the Trust’s nature reserves for people and wildlife. Your work place includes internationally recognised wetlands and woodlands along with nationally important meadows, chalk grasslands and heathland across Hertfordshire and Middlesex.
You will need to have strong experience in practical habitat management, including the use of power tools and machinery, such as chainsaws, brush cutters and BCS mowers. You will have experience of working within a dynamic team and leading volunteers. You will need to have a keen interest in wildlife and preferably a knowledge of the habitats in our area.
No two days are the same as an ARO at HMWT; you will get the opportunity to utilise and develop your practical habitat management skills across our nature reserves including tree felling, coppicing, scrub clearance, hay cutting and pond/ditch management. You will also undertake the maintenance of site infrastructure; assist with the management of livestock; and perform surveying and monitoring of habitat/species, tree safety and infrastructure. These tasks will be delivered working closely with members of the nature reserves team; our volunteer wardens and our practical conservation volunteers.
Willingness to travel throughout our work area and flexibility to work occasional irregular hours is required for this post.

Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join SJA’s Bid Team, managing and producing tender responses across a variety of business areas including Commercial Training, First Aid and Health & Safety Supplies, Events, Urgent & Emergency Care, and other services. The role of the Bid Manager is to support the organisation in achieving revenue targets, business growth and strategic objectives through managing the Bid process and ensuring completion of high-quality tenders within the stipulated timeframes. About the Role
Manage the Bid Management process, ensuring all bid documents meet deadlines and have undergone appropriate levels of scrutiny. Chairing and organising bid kick off meetings with internal stakeholders. You will need to feed the information into the Bid Writer in a timely and organised fashion and ensure all bids are of consistent high quality to meet the customer or commissioner’s expectations.
- You will also, where required, need to lead on writing, creating and preparing expressions of interest, prequalification questionnaires, ITT responses and standalone proposals and presentations working closely with operational/technical specialists within the organisation & ambulance operation to ensure excellence in quality, accuracy and presentation
- Lead on the creation and support bid presentations; including the preparation through to participation of delivery to key decision makers

About the role
You'll be instrumental in ensuring Claire House remains a legacy confident charity.
Taking the lead on the Legacy (Gifts in Wills) and In Memory strategy, you'll make sure supporter journeys, audience insight and effective targeting are always front and centre, by initiating impactful marketing campaigns across a variety of channels.

The TACT London & The East Administration Manager will be an integral member of the Management Team with operational responsibility for three highly dedicated and experienced administrative staff. Retail and Volunteers Team: Our Retail and Volunteers Team manages our charity shops and volunteer programs, which play a crucial role in supporting our mission. They recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers to staff our shops and assist with various tasks, such as sorting donations and serving customers. Additionally, they oversee the operations of our retail outlets, ensuring that they are efficiently run to generate income for our hospices.
Part 1: Job Profile
a) Main purpose of job
In the absence of the manager or assistant managers to lead a team of volunteers to maximise sales, deliver excellent customer service and ensure that the shop premises and assets are maintained to a high standard, according to legal requirements and Shooting Star Children’s Hospices (SSCH) policies and procedures.
Decision Making Authority
The post holder will be required to make decisions on the quality, and suitability of donations before they are placed on sale. Depending on the length of the cover period they may be required to dress the windows. (They will follow price guidelines and existing display layout throughout the shop.)
The post holder will work with eCommerce Manager to decide if items would be suitable for selling at a higher price on eBay or through a promotional event and set these aside for the manager of the shop to deal with on their return.

The Lucy Faithfull Foundation is a UK-wide charity that exists to prevent child sexual abuse and exploitation. We're bold, we're pioneering, we're growing and we want your help.
Our Edinburgh based team – formerly known as Stop It Now Scotland – covers the whole of the country. Our practitioners have extensive backgrounds in child protection and sex offender rehabilitation. We provide individual and groupwork to around 150 adults and adolescents every year who present a sexual risk of harm to children who cannot access statutory service. We work with around 100 partners, family members and members of wider networks around these individuals. We use what we learn from our work to develop and deliver resources, information and training for professionals and the public, so that they can better protect children from harm and prevent abuse before it happens.
About you and the role
We are recruiting a practitioner to join our multi-disciplinary team in Edinburgh to lead our work with children, young people and young adults up to the age of 21.
You will head up our flagship project working with high schools in Edinburgh promoting the prevention of harmful sexual behaviour in an educational context. This includes running workshops for parents on how they can promote positive and healthy relational and sexual development. It will include helping teachers respond sensitively and effectively to early concerns about children’s sexual behaviour. And it will involve working with young people themselves to help develop a curriculum that actively promotes prevention of sexual harm. You will work with our research team to help establish evaluation methods for all aspects of this project and to develop a scaleable model of prevention that can be rolled out across all schools, better protecting children from harm. You will work closely with our UK based Schools Project Manager who will support all aspects of this project.
You will also have a small caseload, working with young people who have displayed harmful sexual behaviour online. You will contribute to training, consultation and policy work in relation to tackling youth perpetrated sexual abuse. It’s a wide ranging and exciting role, and we will be able to support and train the successful candidate in all aspects of our work. You will be supported by our UK based young people’s team.
Our ideal candidate will be a dynamic practitioner with a proven ability to drive projects to achieve required outcomes. You will be professional, proactive and outcome-focused with exceptional communication and engagement skills and an ability to develop partnership ways of working with professionals and agencies. The role requires expert knowledge in relation to working with children who have displayed harmful sexual behaviour and significant experience with supporting and advising leaders, child care professionals, young people and parents. You will have an impeccable understanding of child protection policies and principles and evidence of working with safeguarding partners to keep children safe from harm. A track record of providing consultancy and training to other professionals is desirable.
You will be able to demonstrate confidence in translating the charity’s mission into direct child protection practice and equipping other professionals in tackling child sexual abuse.
Key attributes we are seeking include:
- Deliver assessment and interventions for children, young people and families in relation to harmful sexual behaviour
- Vision and operational capabilities to co-ordinate and deliver on a substantial project focussing on the prevention of harmful sexual behaviour in education settings
- Leadership and management skills in producing successful outcomes
- Impeccable knowledge of safeguarding principles, policies and practices
- Proven track record of working in and/or with education providers
- Collaborative and supportive ethos, enabling effective working with team members and leaders across the charity
- Flexibility and passion to work alongside internal and external colleagues to ensure quality work is delivered efficiently
- Excellent engagement skills and experience of working professionally with professionals (including school staff), young people and parents
- Confidence in providing expert consultancy to internal and external professionals concerning best practices for working with children
- Ability to provide confidential advice to callers, including education leaders and staff
- Effective record keeping in line with the charity’s policy and practice
- Stakeholder engagement and excellent communication skills to promote the mission and values of the Lucy Faithfull Foundation.

For over 38 years Teesside Hospice has been committed to changing lives across Teesside & North Yorkshire by supporting people and families who’ve been affected by a terminal illness. They provide specialist palliative care and wellbeing activities alongside grief & trauma counselling services for adults and children across the region. The life changing services the Hospice provides are available free of charge to the people who need them most. Despite costing over £3m a year to run, the hospice is largely dependent on fundraised income, with over half of that coming primarily from fundraising activities across Teesside and local residents via retail sales in their shops.
We are now looking for an experienced and ambitious Head of Fundraising to lead the dedicated Fundraising Team at the hospice to ensure financial sustainability of the organisation’s services.
The Role
As the Head of Fundraising, you will be responsible for leading and developing the fundraising department. Duties will include:
- Working alongside the Director of Income Generation to create, develop & deliver a fundraising strategy to support the Hospice’s new objectives
- Lead, mentor, and develop the fundraising team, setting clear objectives and providing ongoing support and training.
- Planning and overseeing the delivery of excellent stewardship of supporters to maximise donor loyalty and lifetime value.
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support fundraising activities.
- Identify new fundraising opportunities and innovative approaches to diversify income streams.
The Person
We are looking for a skilled Head of Fundraising with proven experience to take this established fundraising team to the next level. You should be a flexible and resilient leader, adept at encouraging a culture of innovation within the fundraising team, fostering creativity and continuous improvement.
Bringing with you unrivalled communications skills you will be the primary point of contact for fundraising related inquiries and represent Teesside Hospice at external events and meetings. Ideally you will have the ability to nurture relationships with existing and potential supporters, creating sustainable income from multiple streams.
