Responsibilities of our Assistant Shop Manager:
- To assist the Shop Manager to maximise shop income and profitability through the safe day-to-day operational management of shop activity and key performance indicators, to support the work of Cats Protection
- To act as brand ambassador for Cats protection, being a role model for the values and behaviours of the Charity, taking responsibility for the shop operation in the absence of the Shop Manager.

We are now looking for a Senior Fundraising Manager to join our team.
THE ROLE
- We are going through an exciting period of development, with significant opportunity for growth within our corporate partnerships and high levels of interest to build-on and develop. The role would suit someone who is looking to work with a high degree of autonomy and who welcomes the chance to be innovative and strategic, whilst being supported to achieve their goals, working with our Fundraising & Communications team (currently four staff) and collaborating with our regional Network Managers.
About you:
- You will have at least five years relevant experience, ideally with at least three years working in corporate partnerships/fundraising and be able to demonstrate previous success in generating income and achieving targets. You will be an exceptional communicator with the confidence to work on your own initiative and to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- You will be well organised with excellent attention to detail, work well under pressure and have the ability to think both strategically and operationally. Experience of working with CRM systems is preferred.

Income Generation
- Account manage a portfolio of corporate partners and public sector organisations, to meet operational priorities and annual income targets, providing an excellent supporter experience
- Develop funding propositions and case for support to meet priorities, working closely with Head of Fundraising and Head of Programmes
- Collaborate with Network Managers on regional corporate partnerships, to ensure consistent supporter experience and identify opportunities for development, as appropriate.
- Manage prospect pipeline with a focus on priority sectors, working within wider capacity for new business
- Promote payroll giving and other employee fundraising activities and campaigns.
- Oversee calendar of third party events, liaising with external partners
- Provide internal management information and reporting to colleagues, as required.
Engagement
- Develop a suite of engagement materials working with Communications Manager and external suppliers.
- Collaborate with Communications Manager on annual communications plans, including fundraising campaigns in support of International Women’s Day and The Big Give.
- Work with Communications Manager to ensure regular updates to website and other digital channels (social, e-newsletters), identifying opportunities for partnership activities.
Stewardship
- Develop account management processes, ensuring timely impact reporting or other agreed deliverables.
- Ensure all donations and supporters are thanked in a timely and appropriate mode to their giving channel.
- Keep all relevant donor contact history and financial information up-to-date on Salesforce, ensuring adherence to GDPR and other relevant good practice.
- Work with Head of Fundraising & Communications and CEO to deliver appropriate partner recognition including events and other engagement activities.

FareShare Midlands is the region’s largest food redistribution charity. We take good-to-eat surplus food from the food industry and get it to our Members - frontline charities and community groups all over the Midlands. We turn an environmental problem into a social solution.
Last year we redistributed almost 5,794 tonnes of food from our warehouses in Birmingham, Leicester and Nottingham. It is sorted and stored by our dedicated teams of staff and volunteers, and then redistributed to around 800 Members including food pantries and cafes, homeless shelters and drop-in centres.
These local organisations turn the food into food parcels, affordable shopping and delicious meals for people of all ages. As well as food, our Members provide vital support to families and the elderly, many of whom are facing challenging circumstances and living in poverty.
Last year our food reached more than 83,000 vulnerable people every week, providing 13 million meals. At the same time, we are growing our Employability Programmes to help people gain work experience, skills and jobs.
The Role
FareShare Midlands is a high-profile charity with stakeholders from varying sectors not least over 500 companies in the food industry and FareShare UK. You will work towards, and achieve, a best-in-class in operation not accepting standards or a service that falls short of this.
As the senior person on site, you will be the key point of contact for operations, logistics and stock allocation for your region. You will be responsible for all compliance issues including food hygiene, health & safety and security of the depot and the safety and wellbeing of all visitors, contractors, depot staff and volunteers.
The main role will be to lead the successful day to day operations and ensure the ongoing success of the FareShare Midlands Regional Centres. This will involve working closely with staff and volunteers to ensure that all activities, including operational and order processing are completed to the agreed standard & daily timetable.
With colleagues in the Supply chain & Development functions, you will help develop new operational/logistic activity and lead on the implementation of growth of your RCs activity, capacity and output.
You will report to the Senior Operations Manager and will be a key member of the Operations team across the Midlands region. You will identify and share good practise within and outside the Midlands, working closely with colleagues in the other regional centres.
In agreement with the Senior Operations Manager, you will set out relevant Ops KPIs and targets and will join daily calls and weekly meetings to discuss and help resolve issues across the Midlands region, working as ‘one team’ with colleagues from other functions and regions.
Opening times:
Over the week the depot will be open for the hours required, with staff working 37.5 hours per week which may include working in evenings and weekends on a rota basis if the performance and growth of the region requires it. You will work with the Senior Operations Manager to implement the shift patterns required to provide the service to our members and communities.
Main responsibilities
Job responsibilities will prioritise but not be limited to:
1. Operations:
· Co-ordinate the work schedule and daily activities of the depot, within the guidelines of FareShare Midlands policies and procedures on food safety and Health & Safety
· Be responsible for the supervision, development, and training of all staff & volunteers
· Ensure that all shifts are efficiently planned, controlled, and resourced at least a week in advance.
· Maintain and use the in-house stock management system, with responsibility for the training of depot staff and volunteers on the database and accuracy of stock. Maintain good relations and communications with food suppliers and community member recipient projects, responding to any complaints or service issues with pace and courtesy as set out in our Service Charter
· Ensure that the vans are maintained as roadworthy and legal (taxed and insured)
· Ensure that community food members in your region receive a service, supply and variety of food that is expected / agreed, working closely with the Member Services Manager to flag potential issues with supply and/or service

Essential
· Established (minimum 3 years) warehousing knowledge including managing Staff and Rotas.
· Depot management experience, managing stock control, payment reconciliation and putting all required warehouse processes in place.
· Relevant experience of working in the food industry, probably in a retail operations management or production management resulting in a strong understanding of all the core areas around operations, food safety, health and safety and good business practice.
· Stock management of perishable goods, putting processes and checks in place from goods in to goods out, creating stock count processes, managing stock rotation.
· Line management experience, including projects and associated budgets to time, to cost and to quality.

We are looking for a personal assistant with some previous experience, who is keen to support Police Now’s mission of community transformation and culture change in policing, and to undertake a meaningful role supporting the executive leadership team in a busy, agile and ambitious organisation.
Police Now’s executive leadership team currently includes the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Marketing Officer and Programmes Director. Together, the Executive is responsible for the organisation’s overall health and success and is accountable to the board of trustees.
This role will work both independently and collaboratively to ensure that the executive team works efficiently and effectively. This will primarily be achieved via swift and thoughtful diary management, meeting support (for example, taking minutes of formal meetings and actions from informal ones), management of email inboxes, drafting and responding to correspondence, and similar administrative and support duties. Over time, there are opportunities to develop and add additional activities and responsibilities to the role.

Key responsibilities
- Board and board committee governance: be a point of contact for trustees, partners and other external stakeholders and plan and coordinate board meetings, sub-committees, and the senior leadership team meetings. The Visitor Experience Manager (VEM) is an integral part of the management team responsible for the oversight of a seamless House visit and visitor engagement programme during varied opening hours throughout the year to ensure that every aspect of the experience is taken into account. With extensive management experience in a visitor facing environment, the VEM will act as an ambassador for our visitors across the property, embedding their needs and expectations at the heart of the visitor experience.
With oversight of the house-based visitor operation and shouldering direct responsibility for the seamless visitor engagement programme throughout the year, they will enable a broad range of audiences to have an outstanding and inspirational visit through the consistent quality of our welcome and the stories we tell.
The VEM will play an important role in the growth and development of the Visitor Experience department, championing excellence in operational delivery, recruitment, training, customer best practice, and engagement initiatives. Using their knowledge and understanding of best practice within the sector, they will play an integral part in developing the Visitor Experience strategy and helping to future proof department objectives and delivery of KPIs.
Working Wednesday to Sunday throughout the year, they will be experienced in supporting and delivering a large daily visitor operation and ensuring the best use of staffing and resource across the property.
Primary Responsibilities:
Operational Management
House Based Operation
- Have oversight of the House based visitor operation, supporting the AVEM to ensure;

Tours and Walks Operation
- Responsible for the oversight and daily operational delivery of the public tours and walks programme non-House based, ensuring it is consistently delivered to a high standard and sufficiently resourced with staff and volunteers
- Act as a central point of contact and liaising between teams and departments to ensure spaces and resources are efficiently managed in a timely manner, in particular: Group Bookings Coordinator, Collections Administrator, and Head of Private Events
- Operational responsibility for the visitor journey and experience, staffing resources and programming at the Wedding Cake/Dairy site, as well as any satellite exhibition spaces
- Conduct informative briefings for staff and volunteer teams ahead of tours and walks
- In collaboration with the AVEM provide motivational and supportive line management and provide resources to guide and volunteer teams, encouraging them to embed the needs and expectations of visitors at the heart of the operation
- In collaboration with relevant colleagues & departments, create agreed scripts and guidance for delivery of walks and tours programme by guiding teams
- Create risk assessments and method statements, pertinent to the operational delivery of the engagement programme
- Prepare ticketing set-up for house-based activity and paid for tours in a timely manner
- Regularly attend scheduled tours and walks to monitor the consistency and quality of the visitor offer, implementing any necessary improvements
- Train to be a guide, covering staff/volunteer shortfalls to ensure consistency in the visitor offer
- Where necessary, support out of hours exclusive access tours, sharing this responsibility amongst the VE management team
- Grow and develop the public programme, with particular reference to accessible and income generating programming
- Work closely with the HVE and VEM, as well as colleagues from the Box Office, Volunteering, Collections, Gardens, Marketing and Events departments to ensure the holistic delivery of excellent visitor care and engagement
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of programming and exhibitions, ensuring all operational aspects are considered and advocating for the needs of visitors
- Work closely with the Collections department to update interpretation materials to ensure that they remain current, relevant and engaging
- Work collaboratively with the AVEM in relations to all house-based tours, supporting them to ensure the smooth running of the operation and efficient management of staff and volunteer resources, whilst ensuring scope for the AVEM to be involved in the planning and delivery of the wider tours programme
People Management
- Line manage the Assistant Visitor Experience Manager (AVEM), providing operational guidance, supporting their growth in post and prioritizing personal development opportunities
- Support & coach the AVEM in managing House based staff (Experience, Operations and Welcome Assistants) and volunteer (House Host) teams

Other Duties & Responsibilities

The Team

Job Summary

This is a brand-new role in the Fundraising team with a unique opportunity to develop the charities’ first legacy/in-memory fundraising programme. Akt has received several organic legacy donations over the past few years. Strength & Stem is a charity and social enterprise that uses floristry to help female modern slavery survivors experience restoration and empowerment.
Our core programme, “Flowers for the Future”, is led by a small staff team and runs annually from May to January in Kings Cross London. 1. Management and Delivery
• Oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of training in woodwork, metalwork and other Arts.
• Ensure the training meets the educational and personal development needs of vulnerable young people.

2. Leadership and Staff Management
• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of instructors, administrative staff, and volunteers.

• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all participants and staff including responsibility for risk assessments.

3. Strategic Planning and Development
• Work with the Board of Trustees to develop and execute the charity's strategic goals.
• Develop and manage the charity’s budget and resources to ensure financial sustainability and impact.
• Identify and pursue new opportunities for growth, including partnerships, new funding streams, and collaborations with local schools, businesses, and other community organisations.
• Develop an IT Strategy for the charity for the storage of key data and management reporting
• Support the other arm of our charity “The Camino Cafe” as and when required.
4. Fundraising and Financial Oversight
• Lead fundraising efforts to secure funding from diverse sources, including grants, donations, corporate sponsorships, and fundraising events.
• Oversee the preparation of funding applications and reports for donors and grant-making bodies.
• Maintain financial oversight, ensuring effective use of resources, monitoring expenses, and reporting financial performance to the Board, using “Quickbooks” as the primary accounting and reporting tool.
• Increase the charity’s social media presence.
• Improve branding and awareness of Skillway’s and it’s aims and purpose.
5. Stakeholder Engagement and Advocacy
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, schools, community groups, donors, and business partners.
• Represent the charity in public and at events, advocating for the charity's mission and the importance of vocational education for vulnerable young people.
• Ensure the charity’s work is widely known and respected in the community.
6. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting
• Implement systems for monitoring and evaluating the success of the training programmes
• Gather feedback from participants, staff, and stakeholders to assess programme effectiveness and make improvements.
• Provide regular updates and reports to the Board of Trustees, funders, and other stakeholders on the charity’s impact and outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
• Proven experience in a management role, ideally within the charity or education sector.
• Background in vocational education, youth work, or a related field, with a focus on supporting vulnerable young people.
• Experience in leading and managing a diverse team, with the ability to inspire, support, and develop staff.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
• Demonstrated ability in fundraising, securing grants, and building donor relationships.
• Knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and reporting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
• A commitment to the mission and values of the charity.
Desirable:
• Experience in working with metalwork or woodworking, or a related technical skill.
• Familiarity with the challenges faced by vulnerable young people and the ability to create a supportive and empowering learning environment.
• Experience working with Boards of trustees or governance bodies.

Job description
To collaborate colleagues within the Research and Analysis team, across CSE and external partners with project management of software and modelling projects, helping to schedule work within and across projects. Aid in product development on CSE’s own software tools and on work we do for others, including understanding user needs. Provide analysis of possible directions to take work, in concert with CSE’s Development Team. Work on software-related business development, including supporting the Development Team in the production of bids with a software element.
Pay and conditions
• The role is full-time 37.5 hours per week.
• The salary for the role will be £41,802 - £50,071 per year.
• You will be entitled to 25 days paid holiday (plus statutory holidays).

Specific responsibilities
An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:
• Support the Modelling and Software Team in the planning and delivery of software products.
• Liaise with customers to understand user and stakeholder needs.
• Support the Modelling and Software Team & Development Team in business development of product roadmaps and strategy for existing and new software products.
• Support the Development Team in the pricing and production of bids involving software resource.
• Oversee a Quality Assurance function within the Modelling and Software Team in collaboration with CSE’s Analysts to ensure quality of outputs.
• Plan and prioritise your workload while contributing to the timely and high quality delivery of work.

• Several years of professional experience in software development or a related field.
• Proven track record of successfully managing software projects from planning to delivery, with experience using project management tools and techniques.
• Experience with software development life cycles, Agile methodologies, and project management techniques.
• Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Experience working on business development projects, creating bids, pricing, and managing customer relationships.
• Excellent communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
