About the role:  

The Group Finance Officer plays a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial records and internal controls within a growing international development charity. Based in Bristol, you will work closely with overseas teams across the Sahel to maintain robust financial management, support the development of financial systems, and enhance reporting and procedures. You will ensure that Galop maintains high quality, consistent services across all areas of frontline work, as well as contributing to a strong, coherent external voice representing the needs and experience of LGBT+ victims and survivors of abuse.

This is a newly created role which is being introduced to support the centralisation and future growth of the Marlow Education Trust . This hands-on role will be responsible for preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring all transactions and month-end processes are carried out, preparation of balance sheet, capital projects and fixed assets reconciliations , line management of finance officers and assistants, as well as  oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable and VAT returns. You will be involved in cash flow forecasting, treasury/banking processes, budgeting/forecasting process, monthly reporting, variance analysis and more. The successful candidate will have previous financial experience ideally in a school environment and a recognised accounting qualification,, and will be flexible and able to  demonstrate an ability to adapt to a changing environment. Main Responsibilities 

• Produce draft monthly and annual financial statements, including payroll and balance sheets reconciliations, income and expenditure, and cash flow statements

• Undertake payroll preparation including staff cost allocation on a monthly basis

• Support the production of regular re-forecasts during the academic year

• Prepare and post monthly and annual prepayment and accruals

Our partner, an international charity, is looking to recruit an experienced Finance Business Partner. The successful candidate will be joining the organisation during an interesting period, and be curious, with a strong analytical mind and ability to interpret financial information, and be articulate. 

Responsibilities

• As a business partner, ensure that there is a sound understanding of business areas in terms of both present as well as forecasted performance.

• Practical accounting, general ledger maintenance, control and other account reconciliation experience

An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen within one of Lincolnshire’s leading charities providing Emergency and Supported Accommodation, Childcare, Youth and Community Development services across Lincolnshire.

We are looking for an exceptional, experienced leader to join our Executive Leadership team as Corporate Services Director.

As a member of the Executive team, reporting to the Chief Executive, you will have a strong aptitude for strategic thinking – an eye for detail, a passion for people and a commitment to delivering services of the highest quality. 

An understanding of operational delivery is key, as you will be responsible for the leadership of the Finance, Commercial, Legal, Projects, Governance and IT/ Data functions of the charity. 

The post holder will take a pivotal role in ensuring the charity as a whole is served by effective, efficient and innovative support services. You’ll be adept managing risk and initiating change to ensure corporate services functions support those teams directly delivering services.

Please note we do require a Professional Accountancy Qualification from either ACA, ACCA or ACMA and this is non-negotiable. 

The role is full time and based in Lincoln at our offices on Tritton Road, alternative working arrangements may be considered for the right candidate.
