Job description

North Wales Advice and Advocacy Association (NWAAA) are looking to recruit new Trustees.

Our Trustees have overall control of the charity. As a Trustee you will help shape the strategic direction of the Association, ensure that the service does what it sets out to do and meets its obligations as a charitable organisation. We are embarking upon a new phase of our journey as a charity and as such, seek Board members who can bring the strategic oversight and practical application to our development.

We are particular keen to hear for those with background and/or knowledge in

  • Finance/Accounting
  • Fundraising and Bid Writing
  • Human Resources

The most important quality we seek is that you share our passion and commitment to uphold the rights of individuals and empower them to have voice, choice, and control in their live

Our projects support individuals of all ages who have a range of health and social care needs by ensuring that their rights are upheld, that they are involved in decisions affecting their lives and that their voices are heard.

We welcome applications from all ages and backgrounds.

We particularly welcome interest from service users and carers who have lived experience of using health and social care services.

The Board meets a minimum of quarterly, and these meetings can be attended in person or virtually. While it is a voluntary role, reasonable expenses are reimbursed.
