The Centre for Computing History is an accredited museum and charity situated in Cambridge, with collections and learning at its heart. The museum's core purpose is to increase understanding of the history of computing by exploring its social, cultural and historical impact.
Our collection rightly celebrates the incredible evolution of computing technology. However, the museum also has a responsibility to recognise the ecological impact of the rise of technology, and to date we have not explored these stories. We are excited to have secured funding from the Esmée Fairbairn Collections Fund, run by the Museums Association, for an exciting new two-year project, Broken Tech : Broken Earth. Role Summary
We're now seeking a talented, energetic and efficient Project Coordinator to oversee this exploratory project.
The Esmée Fairbairn Collections Fund, run by the Museums Association, aims to encourage participatory practice in museums, and this concept lies at the heart of this project. Participatory practice means involving visitors and communities in the creation and interpretation of museum exhibitions, programs, and events content – asking for stories about objects in the collection, rather than assuming we know what the most important stories are. This approach is inclusive, encourages visitors to feel ownership and helps museums discover untold stories about their collections.
We are looking for someone special to co-ordinate this process and exploit our unique platform to raise awareness of environmental issues and e-waste and to create change. The Project Co-ordinator will take ownership of the day-to-day operations of the Broken Earth Project, including working closely with all external and internal stakeholders, monitoring progress, and ensuring project milestones are met. This new fixed-term role is a critical part of the project and crucial to its success.

The Role
Sitting within the Discipleship and Social Justice team, this role provides support to three diverse and exciting areas of Church of England parish ministry. Generous Giving helps parishes to raise finances to fund their mission and ministry, Social Justice enables churches to practice their faith by supporting their communities, and Environment ensures that churches are able to make informed choices to reduce their carbon footprint and promote biodiversity.
You will enable these areas by supporting the parish advisers, through communicating with church volunteers, providing resources, and organising/recording project engagement and training.
Reporting to the Generous Giving Adviser, you will be supported in managing their workload. About You
You do not need to be a practising Christian or have a faith to work here - around 50% of staff are not practising Christians but are comfortable with the Christian ethos that underpins the work. However, all our staff do have a desire to make a difference.
We are seeking a motivated individual with proven IT skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams), contact database management, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities. About the role:
In this role, you will provide essential administrative support to a specialised Cases Unit, playing a key part in its day-to-day functions. The successful candidate must have or be:

The coalition
Send My Friend to School is a UK civil society coalition of international development NGOs, teachers’ unions and charities.
It brings together young people, politicians, teachers, civil society and the media in joint campaigning to demand quality education for all children across the globe. Each year thousands of schools and young people take part in the campaign, teaching young people the power and importance of using their voices in chorus with others across the globe to create positive change.
Send My Friend to School is the UK coalition of the Global Campaign for Education movement which is present in over 90 countries around the world.
Location
This role will be employed by Send My Friend to School Steering Group member Results UK, on behalf of the Send My Friend to School coalition, and will be based in Results UK’s office near Waterloo. Hybrid working is in place whereby staff are required to work from the office at least 2 days a week.
Terms & Conditions
This is a full time (35 hours per week), permanent post, with a 3 month probation period. There is likely to be occasional evening and weekend work involved, for which time off in lieu will be received. Holidays are 25 days pro rata per year plus bank holidays. Line Management
