An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist to join our Therapy Team. This role will require the successful candidate to provide a high quality, evidence based occupational therapy which promotes participation and functional activity of children and young people.
Role Requirements
- Provide high quality, evidence based occupational therapy provision for children and young
people attending The Children’s Trust in-patient neurorehabilitation, in partnership with other
members of the multi-disciplinary team. - Undertake occupational therapy assessments of children including those with acquired brain injuries and complex needs e.g. multiple co-morbidities, neurodisabilities and chronic conditions, through standardised and non-standardised assessments and clinical observations.
- Keep appropriate and accurate intervention records, fulfilling legal, professional and all other requirements of The Children’s Trust.
- Contribute to child related reports, including looked after children and annual review reports as required, and assist with the collation of these as required, in a timely manner in line with organisational targets.
- Develop therapy goals, in collaboration with the child and family/carers, as well as the multidisciplinary and education teams, other health professionals and agencies, to facilitate the participation of the child in their life skills
- Communicate effectively with children/young people, applying the principles of consistent communication.
- Facilitate effective communication with families and members of the Multidisciplinary Team.
- Recognise barriers to effective communication and be able to reduce these as appropriate.
- Attend and contribute to Multidisciplinary Team meetings, to discuss individual children/ young people and service in general, as required e.g., reviews, case conferences, parent’s evenings, clinics, etc.

About this role
The Deputy Director, Legal and Governance is responsible for providing independent, strategic and proactive legal advice to Reprieve and is a critical member of the Senior Management Team. This is an exciting and varied role in which no two days are the same. You will have the opportunity to interact with inspiring people throughout Reprieve as well as those outside of Reprieve who are integral partners in our work.
The Deputy Director, Legal and Governance will be a UK-based qualified solicitor or barrister, or have an equivalent qualification from another jurisdiction with sufficient experience working within the UK in a legal capacity either in private practice or in-house environment.
The Deputy Director, Legal and Governance will report to Reprieve’s Board and its Risk Committee; and attend, observe and minute meetings of our Finance Committee and Nominations Committee. They will be expected to play a key role in any special ad-hoc committees established by the Board from time to time, for instance, in the event of a serious incident occurring.
All staff will feel confident to approach the Deputy Director, Legal and Governance with challenging legal questions that cut across Reprieve cases, fundraising and operations. Trustees will feel confident to entrust you to support the SMT in managing risks at Reprieve, and third parties such as suppliers and external counsel will feel comfortable liaising with you, even when the issues being discussed are complex and confidential.

Location, contract and salary

Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work 40% of their working hours from the London office and the rest of the week from home. Fearless is the youth brand of Crimestoppers, offering young people access to non-judgemental information and advice about crime and criminality. The work of Fearless is focused on helping young people make informed decisions about reporting crime. As the Youth Outreach Worker for Kent, you will help young people to understand different crime topics and break down the barriers to reporting crime. This will be done through the delivery of workshops in schools and other youth settings. The Youth Outreach Worker will also build partnerships locally with other organisations, to provide a coordinated response to youth crime and exploitation across Kent.
In this role, you will:
· To deliver our Fearless and Bystander Approach programme for young people in Secondary Schools and youth settings across Kent and for the professionals working with those young people;
- Facilitating a bespoke Fearless workshop
- Ensuring the workshop links to the prevention needs of young people within Kent and surrounding areas.
· To build partnerships locally with: Secondary schools/academies, Pupil Referral Unit’s (PRU), youth agencies, Police, Local Authorities and other organisations
· Implement a robust evaluation method, including compiling statistics of the workshops and partnership work for internal and external reports.
· Look for ongoing opportunities to raise the awareness of the Fearless service direct to young people and the professionals working with them.

We are looking for a bold, ambitious, and dynamic Director of Fundraising to lead our first ever Fundraising and Communications team as we celebrate our 40th year. 2025 will also see the Charity launch a new brand, and new name as we change from Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre (RASASC) to Rape Crisis South London (RCSL).
Working closely with the CEO, and as part of a newly formed Senior Leadership Team, you will play a crucial role in creating and implementing our ambitious plans. You will lead on creating a strong fundraising culture across the organisation and build a fundraising mindset into our marketing and communications. You will lead the development and implementation of a new fundraising strategy, including working with teams across the organisation to build a funding pipeline that not only sustains our current services in the longer term but increases income in line with our strategy for growth. This will include diversifying our income through generating a mix of funds from trusts and foundations, corporate partners, individual giving and community fundraising. You will also support the development and delivery of our Communications Strategy.

We are seeking two highly experienced, organised and efficient Executive Assistants to join our Executive Administration team managed by our Senior Executive Administration Manager. Collectively the team offer proactive support to our Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Board of Trustees and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in leading the charity efficiently and effectively and achieving our strategic and operational objectives.
About the role
One of the Executive Assistants will work with our Chief Operating Officer who works across the charity and leads our Finance and Corporate Services Directorate, along with supporting the Director of Income and Engagement. The other will work with the Director of Services and Devolved Nations and the Director of Research.

There has been no coordinating body or collective voice for the Voluntary and Community
Sector (VCS) in the London Borough of Waltham Forest for many years, so the sector
recently came together to create a new umbrella organisation. Waltham Forest CVS is in the
process of being registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) and will be
launched in 2025. With initial financial support from the local council, WF CVS will also
fundraise to ensure sustainability going forward. Its creation aims to ensure that there is a
collective voice for the sector, as well as enabling VCS organisations to strengthen their own

The process of setting up the CVS has so far been volunteer-led by individuals from local VCS
organisations, who have established a CVS Transition Board (CVS TB). For the CVS to thrive,
it now needs focused energy to get its work under way, and the position of Coordinator will
be key to this as the first paid position in the CVS. The Coordinator will implement the initial
milestones agreed by the CVS TB, as well as developing new plans and resources with the
active participation of VCS organisations. They will be ready to adapt and grow their own
role to ensure the CVS develops as productively as possible, which will require considerable
initiative and creativity. They will be the line manager of the communication and
membership officer and, as more resources are raised, will also line manage other staff.
Central to the role will be the commitment to engage with and be led by the vibrant local
voluntary sector, putting in place mechanisms that enable ownership and participation in
the CVS’s activities. The CVS will thrive if it is able to draw on the substantial skills and
experience available within the sector while consciously supporting the inclusion of those
organisations that have often been marginalized or overlooked in the past; supporting and
building these approaches will be central to the success of the Coordinator.

The Humane League UK (THL UK) is seeking a data-focussed and strategic individual, with a strong background in digital fundraising, to help drive long-lasting improvements for millions of farmed animals.

Who you are:

Primary Duties:

Lead on developing and executing our digital fundraising strategy: working with our Digital Communications Manager to make sure it aligns with and feeds into our wider organisational digital strategy, as well as with the Head of Development to make sure it aligns with our wider fundraising strategy.

Management of our new CRM: we are in the process of selecting a new CRM solution to support fundraising at THL UK. This role will initially take responsibility for getting this implemented and embedded in the organisation, and then take on the day-to-day management and responsibility of the CRM to make sure we utilise the platform to its full potential and resolve any challenges or issues.

Coordinating our end of year fundraising appeal: our biggest of the year, working with our Digital Fundraiser to develop engaging content and communications, and with our Major Gifts Fundraiser and Head of Development to secure match funds and major gifts, to ensure we secure valuable income each year (this appeal raised over £100k in 2024). You’ll help set and track the targets and metrics for the campaign, and conduct post-campaign analysis to capture what we learn to inform our future activities.

With a focus on acquisition, retention, and conversion, work with our Digital Communications Manager to map out and develop donor journeys as part of our wider supporter journeys, using technological solutions to ensure supporters are progressing effectively.

Regularly assess and analyse supporter and donor data, using these insights to shape our strategy and activities. This includes monitoring engagement levels across various touch points, such as donating, volunteering, taking digital actions, or engaging with our communications, as well as evaluating segmentation and targeting of key audiences. Identify the data needed to inform decision-making and establish mechanisms to capture it effectively.

Work with the Finance Operations Lead to make sure all supporter and donation data in our CRM is accurate, complete and up-to-date: this includes ensuring that Gift Aid claims are regularly made, donation data is regularly reconciled with our finance system, that we have a holistic picture of our supporters, and we have a regular programme of data cleansing in place.

Ensure our donation processes are optimised: allowing us to minimise any possible friction on our donation pages and increase the percentage of those going on to make a donation. Ensuring that we have processes in place to capture abandoned baskets and failed payments, and any technical issues which could disrupt our ability to collect payments are monitored and resolved quickly, working with our technical partners or external experts where necessary.

Oversee the development of any new donation pages or donor data collection forms: whether those are created in-house or by an external consult or agency.

Make sure THL UK team members are getting what they need from our CRM and technical solutions. Ensuring that they are using systems correctly and consistently, to avoid poor practices which might result in bad data or sub-optimal functionality. Including access and user permissions, notifications and alerts for new donors and donations, training and support, and access to dashboards and reports needed to inform their work.

Manage any external support required to optimise our CRM and technological solutions: including our CRM partner, payment processing partner and any additional consultants or third parties. Work with them to make sure any technical issues or significant architectural changes are addressed.

Provide day-to-day support to our Digital Fundraiser: offering advice and guidance, working with them on campaigns and communications to help us achieve the goals as set out in our digital fundraising strategy, including regular pushes for key income streams such as regular giving.

Make sure we optimise any available budget to increase acquisition and conversion to help us achieve our strategic goals.

Keep colleagues up-to-date on our digital fundraising plans and make sure those plans are fed into our organisation-wide planning tools.

Look for opportunities for technology to enhance fundraising at THL UK, including use of AI.

Hours:
This is a full time position of 37.5 hours per week over Monday to Friday.
From 1st July 2024 we are piloting a four day working week across the whole of the UK organisation. The pilot is planned to run for 12 months, at which point a decision will be made by our Board of Trustees as to whether this will become permanent. Success of the trial relies on the organisation being able to achieve the same or improved level of impact in four working days as five, with staff experiencing either the same or improved levels of wellbeing.
During the four day week pilot, working hours for this position will be reduced to 30 hours per week, to be worked across Monday to Thursday, with no reduction in salary. This will be a temporary change to the contractual terms for the successful candidate. The appointed person must be prepared to increase their working hours to 37.5 hours per week if a return to a five-day working week is decided. In the event that THL UK considers before the end of the trial period that the trial is having an adverse operational impact, we reserve the right to bring the trial to end on one month’s notice.

The Corporate Services team provides essential strategic and operational support across the organisation. Our governance function oversees compliance, risk management, and performance frameworks. Addiction Family Support is a UK-based charity dedicated to supporting adults affected or bereaved by a loved one's harmful use of alcohol, drugs, or gambling.
The Role: Family Support Worker (Bereavement)
As a Family Support Worker at Addiction Family Support, you will provide crucial emotional and practical assistance to individuals bereaved by the loss of a loved one due to addiction. You will be responsible for delivering a range of services to provide support to people bereaved (and affected) by someone else’s harmful use of alcohol, drugs or gambling. Through both individual and group support, you will offer a compassionate and understanding presence, helping people navigate grief and loss in a safe and supportive environment.
Our service delivery takes place via several methods, including taking calls on our telephone Helpline, responding to emails through our email service and delivering the 5-Step Method intervention to individuals, couples and groups and facilitating group support via an online platform.
Working patterns are flexible to allow our services to run from 9am and 9pm 7 days a week. You may be expected to work on a rota basis, covering shifts during this period.
We would hope to be able to offer more hours per week in time when funding allows it.
You will need to be confident in your ability to provide support via a variety of remote and digital platforms, being able to respond to immediate requests for support. You will be an active and involved member of our team and contribute to all aspects of our work to help us achieve our strategic goals and work towards achieving our vision.
Responsibilities:
- Offer empathetic and non-judgmental emotional support to those affected by the bereavement of a loved one due to addiction (via a Helpline and adapted 5-Step Method).
- Provide information, literature, and resources to help individuals and groups manage grief and cope with their situations.
- Facilitate or co-facilitate bereavement support group meetings, creating a safe space for participants to share their experiences and provide mutual support.
- Respond to inquiries and offer structured emotional support through helplines or support groups, following guidelines and safeguarding practices.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with GDPR and the charity’s policies.
- Ensure safeguarding concerns are addressed promptly and signpost individuals to additional services where appropriate.
