• Facilitate cross-sector collaboration, engaging landowners, public bodies, NGOs, and communities
• Influence local and national policy and promote nature-based solutions through advocacy and communications
• Represent the LNP at high-level meetings, forums, and in the media
• Secure sustainable funding for the LNP and manage budgets effectively
• Support the implementation of the Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS) and develop investable propositions
• Produce annual impact and "State of Nature" reports, tracking progress and driving accountability

he Corporate Services team provides essential strategic and operational support across the organisation. Our governance function oversees compliance, risk management, and performance frameworks. The finance team manages budgets, financial planning, and reporting. All of this contributes to effective decision making. Purpose of this role  

The Business Support Administrator will provide high quality support to the Board of Trustees and its sub-Committees, and the Chief Operating Officer. This role will work closely with the Executive Assistant to the Director General. 

Responsibilities and Expectations  

• Provide high-quality administrative and organisational support to the Chief Operating Officer, helping to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. 

• Coordinate the preparation and timely circulation of agendas, papers, minutes and action logs for Board and Committee meetings. 

• Monitor and report on progress against Board and Committee actions, ensuring timely follow-up and delivery 

• Support the delivery of the annual Board effectiveness review, gathering feedback and helping to implement improvements. 

• Assist with the planning and delivery of the annual external audit, working with colleagues and auditors to meet key deadlines. 

• Maintain key registers including the Gift & Hospitality Register, Declarations of Interest, and compliance trackers. 

• Facilitate due diligence checks as needed, liaising with legal advisors to ensure accuracy and compliance. 

• Maintain the organisation’s contract register, tracking review dates and supporting internal contract reviews and renewals. 

• Deliver one-off projects and provide flexible support across the Corporate Services team as required.

We are seeking a passionate, connected and well-organised leader, to manage and develop our Church Engagement team and mission with UK churches, networks, community groups and volunteers. About this job

We’re seeking a skilled Purchase Ledger with a passion for accuracy and efficiency to manage the processing and payment of invoices, credit notes, expenses, and other payments through our purchase ledger system. In this vital role, you’ll handle a high volume of transactions using Compleat purchase ordering software and our accounting system (currently Dynamics GP, likely to transition to Microsoft Business Central soon).

You’ll be responsible for ensuring all invoices and expenses are legitimate, accurately matched, and approved in line with our policies and procedures. Acting as the primary contact for suppliers, (including managing the accounts payable mailbox) you’ll ensure that all queries are dealt with promptly and efficiently and that the turnaround between receipt and payment of invoices is in line with what has been agreed with the supplier. You’ll ensure payments are processed on time and prepare bulk BACS payment runs, reconcile supplier statements, and assist with verifying supplier details.

Job title: Fundraising Manager

Type of contract: Fixed term contract – 12 months – with scope of extending this

Hours of work: 14 hours per week (between Monday and Thursday to be arranged with the line manager)

Personal Outlook: The post-holder must have a strong commitment to the voluntary sector and a desire to make a real difference to the lives of asylum seekers and refugees. This role is suited for someone target – driven, with excellent writing skills and great attention to detail. They will be working closely with the CEO, an external fundraiser, the Welcome Centre and Operations Lead, as well as our Finance, Admin and Communications officer. The post holder will be responsible for building on a strong foundation of support from Trusts, Foundations and other grant-making bodies, will cultivate and develop strong relationships with grant-givers to grow our income and support our organisational aims.

About Borderlands fundraising: So far Borderlands’ grant fundraising work has been led by a freelance fundraiser working 3-4 days a month (“Grants and Trusts Fundraiser” in the organisational chart). The Fundraising Manager will work in partnership with them and divide the role and responsibilities according to experience and capacity. Currently, most of our income is from grants; our key funders include the Henry Smith Charity, Garfield Weston Foundation, John James Foundation, Bristol Impact Fund and Nisbet Trust. This is the first time Borderlands is recruiting for an in-house fundraiser role. In addition to working on grant applications and reports, the manager will support the Finance, Admin and Communication Officer with local giving and developing corporate partnerships.

Key responsibilities

The Individual Giving Manager will contribute towards Ex Cathedra’s ongoing sustainability and success by maximising philanthropic income:

Strategy and research

• build, maintain and continually seek to expand a pipeline of prospects capable of making gifts at a high 4-, 5- and 6-figure level, making sure that all progress is tracked, monitored and reviewed on a routine basis

• explore our existing data to identify major gift prospects, working in line with data protection law and fundraising regulations

Individual giving

• work closely with the General Manager and Individual Giving Officer to further develop and implement strategies that will increase major gifts and legacy donations to Ex Cathedra, dovetailing with the Trusts and Foundations consultant where appropriate

• arrange and conduct face-to-face meetings with prospects and donors to help build and progress meaningful relationships through regular dialogue

• use their judgement to involve the artistic director, trustees and colleagues where most beneficial/advantageous

• align prospective donors with high-value funding opportunities for the performance programme, education and participation work, or area of greatest need according to the interests of the donor

• promote and encourage giving towards the establishment of an Endowment Fund that will provide long-term financial sustainability for the organisation

• meet agreed targets for activity (i.e. number of prospect meetings and solicitations) and income generation (i.e. funds raised)

• personally manage the portfolio of higher level donors and prospective donors.

Communications

• manage the delivery of specific appeals to prospects and donors

• work with the General Manager and freelance designer to devise and produce materials in support of Ex Cathedra’s fundraising aims

• create and refresh inspiring copy for inclusion in print, on our website and other relevant materials

Other

• record and maintain progress, ensuring that income can be projected as accurately as possible, liaising with the Finance Manager as appropriate

About you

The Landscape Institute are looking to recruit a Branch & Membership Engagement Officer.

Reporting directly to the Membership Services Manager the key focus of this exciting new role will be to support and deliver the LI’s engagement with our members.  The role’s main objective is to maintain our members’ positive experience they get form the LI and make sure they are getting all that they can out of the LI’s products and services, whichever their grade of membership.

You will support and develop our regional Branches and help maintain mutually supportive links between their engagement activities and the Institute. The postholder will be the key point of contact for our volunteers, as well as help with the membership operations delivery.

Our Governance Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all governance work, providing support to the Board, CEO and Executive Team in all matters relating to governance and in particular for the Board and Committee meetings.

You’ll ensure that transactional activities are accurately completed within specified timeframes and co-ordinate all committees of the YHA Board and advise on and implement good governance practice.

What will you be doing?

• Lead and advising on all matters relating to governance including the constitution, memorandum and articles of association, standing orders and codes of conduct, including leading the implementation of any changes agreed by the Board.
• Provide best practice governance advice and support to the Chair, Board, CEO and Executive team, ensuring regulatory/codes of practice compliance, ongoing review of consultations on charity governance and promoting good governance in practice.
• Provide governance support to the Board, Audit and Risk Committee, Finance Committee, People, Remuneration, Impact and Engagement Committee, and the National Officers and Committee Chairs meeting and any other meetings linked to governance.
• Monitor changes in relevant governance legislation and the regulatory environment and take appropriate action.
• Project manage the organisation and delivery of the Annual General Meeting
• Plan and co-ordinate the annual Trustee induction programme.
• Responsible for the administration of the Company, for example: maintaining statutory company records and making the appropriate governance filings to Companies House and the Charity Commission.
• You’ll be the Company Secretary for YHA (England and Wales) and YHA Trading Limited.
• Assist the CEO and Executive with internal and external promotion, PR or other publications and events as required and particularly in relation to corporate governance and Board related issues.
• Develop relationships of trust and confidence, working pro-actively with the Chair, individual Board members, the CEO, Executive team, and external lawyers, where appropriate. You’ll be key in liaising between National Office teams and Board members.

What Skills and Experience do you need?

• Experience of providing governance support at Board level.
• Chartered Membership of the Chartered Governance Institute (or equivalent) or studying towards the qualification or suitable other experience. Experience of working independently, pro-actively and sensitively with senior stakeholders (Chair, CEO, Board members, Exec directors).
• Excellent project management skills and experience.
• Project team leadership skills and experience.
• Experience of budgetary control.
• Experience and in-depth knowledge of corporate and charity governance, including of company secretary functional requirements.

• Able and willing to flex hours worked in order to cover Board and AGM meeting at weekends and frequent evenings and occasional early mornings (for committee meetings and distribution of Board and Committee papers) and travel to hostels throughout the network to support Board and other meetings, for which Time Off in Lieu will be provided.

• A good understanding of charity governance, operational and departmental organisation and requirements.
