We are currently looking for an On The Water Project Coordinator to join our team.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead on an externally funded outreach project providing hard to reach young people with the opportunity to try free boating sessions over the summer holidays.

This is a very varied and rewarding role that requires someone who is self-motivated, organised, creative, tenacious, positive and IT competent with experience in project management.

You need to be able to motivate and inspire your project team, ensuring that the project is on target through continuous monitoring and evaluation. The On The Water Project Coordinator will be responsible for the line management of 3 fixed-term Project Assistants.

Whilst this role is homebased for the majority of the time, it requires the post holder to travel to each of the locations intensively throughout the 5 week delivery period, as well as regular travel for both the planning and evaluation periods. Travel expenses are covered as part of the role.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and ensure the delivery of the On the Water project.

• To manage the temporary Project Assistants at Royal Docks, Midlands and Port Edgar Boat Stations
• Work with the Project Assistants and Growth and Development Workers to enable the effective recruitment of young people, particularly those facing difficulties or disadvantage to the project through recruitment and referrals from local authorities, schools and other relevant bodies
• Devise, plan and implement systems to record and report on the project’s activity, progress and outcomes
• Manage the budget in accordance with the agreed expenditure targets, ensuring that accurate records are maintained
• Ensure the safe and smooth running of delivery in line with all internal policies
• Manage the evaluation, wrap up and future planning of the project
• Ensure the project meets it's targets and funders have timely and accurate reports
• Develop robust monitoring and booking systems and ensure they are rolled out, understood, and used across all 3 sites

The Role

We are looking for a proactive, committed and skilled Governance Officer to join the team.

In this role you will provide a comprehensive, high quality secretariat service, particularly to the Bishop’s Council, which acts as the Board of Directors of the Diocesan Board of Finance (income £30M, assets £520m, over 100 staff) and oversees a wide range of activity.

The Diocese is one of the largest in the Church of England covering the three counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, and Oxfordshire with a thousand parishes, church schools and chaplaincies.  It is active in environmental action, addressing poverty and inequality, supporting children and youth work and much, much more.

You will ensure that meetings are scheduled and organised, agendas created, minutes recorded, and action lists monitored; elections organised and appointments made; governance advice given; relevant policies are in place and statutory registers are maintained.  You will have the opportunity to be in the room when most of the organisation’s key decisions are taken. 1. Strategic Leadership & Integration

7. Data Analytics and Performance Reporting

• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for both the marketing and sales efforts across the charity and trading arm, with a strong focus on return on investment (ROI) for campaigns and product sales.
• Regularly analyse marketing data, tracking performance across channels, evaluating campaign results, and identifying areas for improvement.
• Provide detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to senior leadership, highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities for future growth.
• Conduct customer and sponsor behaviour analysis, utilising insights to adjust marketing and sales strategies and improve targeting.

8. Budget Management

• Oversee the marketing and sales budget for both the charity and trading operations, ensuring that funds are allocated effectively to maximise both financial contribution and the nasen’s mission.
• Monitor expenditure to ensure all campaigns are delivered within budget, making recommendations where necessary and full analysis on ROI.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• At least 7-10 years of experience in a senior sales and marketing role, ideally with experience managing both non-profit and commercial sales efforts.
• Proven track record of successfully leading integrated marketing campaigns and driving revenue growth in both the charity and ecommerce sectors.
• Experience in developing and executing sales strategies, including pricing, product development, customer acquisition and retention.
• Knowledge of CRM systems, digital marketing platforms, and data analytics tools.
• Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams, managing external agencies, and collaborating with senior leadership to meet organisational goals.

About the Advisory Panel
The Advisory Panel is a meeting of the four Council’s committees (Companies, Education, Registration and Standards) in plenary session. They are established by statute for the purpose of giving advice and assistance to Council (whether or not in response to a request from them) on:

· matters relating to business registrants other than matters required by the Opticians Act to be referred to the Investigation Committee, the Registration Appeals Committee or the Fitness to Practise Committee;

· matters relating to optical training, education and assessment;

· matters relating to registration, other than matters required by the Opticians Act to be considered by the Registration Appeals Committee; and

· matters relating to the standards of conduct and performance expected of registrants or those seeking admission to the register.

The committees and the Advisory Panel meet about twice a year. You can read the current terms of reference for the Advisory Panel, Education Committee, Registration Committee and Standards Committee.

Remuneration and time commitment

A daily fee of £319 will be paid. This is in line with our member fees policy and member fee schedule.  This is taxable and subject to Class 1 National Insurance (NI) contributions. It is not pensionable.

Members can claim expenses for travel and subsistence costs incurred on Council business as set out in our expenses policy.

This role is part time with a commitment of approximately 2-3 days per year, including time spent preparing for meetings.  Meetings will usually take place via MS Teams but may on occasion be held at the GOC Offices in London or other suitable venues.

Person Specification

Experience

• Proven experience in fundraising, with a track record in individual giving, corporate partnerships, or event fundraising.
• Experience of engaging and stewarding donors, supporters, or stakeholders in a charity or cultural organisation.
• Experience in writing successful funding applications for trusts, foundations, or statutory funders.
• Experience in planning and delivering fundraising events, including donor cultivation events and community fundraising initiatives.

Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation.  We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. We also campaign for systems change that addresses the root causes of offending, reduces the harmful impact of prison, and creates workable, community-based alternatives to imprisonment.

Job Purpose: 
The ‘Creating Community Connections Project’ is a Domestic Abuse (DA) Services pilot, sponsored by HMPPS and led by Women in Prison working in partnership with a number of women’s centre providers, Anawim, Together Women and The Nelson Trust.

The project aims to connect women in prison who have experienced DA with vital specialist community support services across the country, especially domestic abuse services and women's centres. The Link Worker is responsible for the provision of 1-2-1 advocacy and structured support to women with a history of/current experience of domestic abuse currently residing in HMP Styal.

Key Responsibility Areas

1. To provide ad-hoc and in-depth 1-2-1 advocacy support to women in HMP Styal who have a history of/current experience of domestic abuse.
2. To recruit, train and support a network of Women’s Champions – women serving sentences at HMP Styal – to co-facilitate service delivery of the Creating Community Connections Project.
3. Provide Through the Gate support to women leaving custody, where applicable to the role and delivery of the project.

Start date: May (or as soon as possible)

Salary: £25,874 per annum (or £29,864 pro-rata, inclusive of £3,990 London/South East Weighting, if applicable)

Location: Hybrid working with either London or Manchester as base. We are happy to consider any flexible working request.

Working hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week

Contract: 6-month fixed term contract

Job Purpose: A supporting role within WIP’s Monitoring & Evaluation team with a focus on systems administration, user support, data monitoring and gathering of women’s voices

Key Responsibility Areas

1. Hold responsibility for case management user administration and routine technical support

2. Support programmes teams to effectively use the case management system by providing training and guidance

3. Support programme managers and the wider organisation with effective reporting by ensuring data monitoring systems and processes are being utilised to their full potential and data sets are of a high quality

4. Support gathering women’s voices and experiences in order to understand the women who are using WIPs services, and the outcomes and impact of our programmes
