The Details
This job is all about working with the local third and public sector to engage with local people to create change. To make this happen the role has three key bits to it:
• listening to what local people want (gathering the insights)
• building a vision for a ‘better way of doing things’ (planning to make change)
• getting stuck in to support our clients and wider team to make things happen (doing the stuff we’ve planned).
Each day you’ll be shaping and delivering Capacity’s current and future projects, managing expectations, excitement, and priorities – keeping a smile on your face and a spring in your step. Even on the busiest of days our Designers and Doers remind themselves why they’re in it, finding the get-up and go to make public services, people services.
The to-do lists you write and the skillsets you engage will vary hugely, one day you might be working on recruitment strategies for social workers, the next on service design for family early help, another strategy planning for a primary care team. When job descriptions say ‘no day is the same’ that can often feel twee, at Capacity – it’s a promise.
You’ll spend your time being proactive – delivering on our promises to clients and local people, whilst staying ready to catch any ‘off-project’ work that might need sorting along the way. You’ll support us to get new clients on board but also play a key role further engaging our existing ones, making sure they continue to feel connected to Capacity and proud to be involved in the work we’re doing.
The projects we deliver are often complex and things won’t always work out. For that reason, you’ll be open and honest about what’s working, what isn’t and where you might need extra support. At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, we care for children and young people whose lives are just too short. Our aim is to reach every family that needs our help and to offer them the very best choice of care. Did you know that every year we need to raise £6.5m to keep our doors open and only around 16% of our income comes from government sources, the rest has to be raised through fundraising activity.
Our services include short overnight stays and community breaks at home or in the hospice. We also support the whole family from diagnosis with our multi-disciplinary Family Support team who provide counselling, sibling support groups, music therapy and much more. Our care team support these families in our modern, purpose-built building. All our rooms bedrooms have a homely feel. We have a sensory room, spa pool, cinema room and six acres of gardens.
We support families from a large geographical area, including South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, North Derbyshire and parts of North Lincolnshire. The hospice is easily accessible from Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster, Sheffield and North Notts. We have free secure on-site parking for families and staff to use.

As the Data Insight Officer, you will:
· Analyse donor data to identify trends, patterns, and income-generation opportunities.
· Provide actionable insights to inform fundraising strategies and campaigns.
· Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
· Generating income by collaborating with fundraising teams to design and evaluate initiatives.
· Manage and maintain the integrity of our CRM system (Donorflex), ensuring accurate data segmentation for targeted campaigns.
· Conduct market research to benchmark against industry standards and inform strategic planning.
· Prepare and present detailed reports and insights to senior management and board members.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
· Minimum 1 year of experience in data analysis, preferably within a fundraising or marketing environment.
· Proficiency in data analysis software and tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).
· Experience working with CRM systems (e.g., Donorflex, Raiser’s Edge) and data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI).
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Desirable:
· Experience working within the charity or nonprofit sector.
· Familiarity with SEO strategies to support marketing and fundraising campaigns.
· Advanced knowledge of data visualisation and reporting tools.

About the role
We are hiring one GROW trainee that will sit within our Family Service alongside our Children and Families Support Workers and Housing Rights Worker.
The successful applicant will hold a caseload of families, acting as key worker, providing them with advice and support to help with resettlement or to prevent homelessness. The role will primarily focus on those households where there needs to be some tailored intervention around the needs of the children and/or parents to stabilise the housing situation and to enable the family to thrive. This intensive, tailored support is provided to the child and family as part of a whole family approach in a 121 setting and potentially through group work.
About you
We are looking for people who have experience of overcoming personal challenges and barriers and who are passionate about using their own life experiences to help make positive change for others. Good communication skills and the ability to make people feel heard will also be essential. Basic computer skills, e.g. word processing, the internet and email would be useful, but support can be provided. Above all, we need people with a real desire to develop personally and learn new skills.

FearFree delivers services across the Southwest for victims, children and perpetrators of domestic abuse and victims of sexual violence. We provide responsive, victim focused, and trauma informed support and this post will be fundamental to ensuring service users, stakeholders and partners experience this in our daily delivery.
This role is part of the commissioned Gloucestershire Positive Relationships (PRG) Service. The role can involve the delivery of evening group work once a week in Gloucestershire (4 hours per week) and the provision of 1-2-1 support for people not suitable or not yet suitable for the accredited programme. 1-2-1 support will be culturally flexible, appropriate, accessible and equitable to people of all ages, genders, ethnicities, abilities and sexual orientations.
This role will also include responsibilities of service promotion, awareness raising, triage, assessments and outreach 1-2-1 support across the county within the different districts.
The post holder will play a key part in developing and delivering an effective model of 1-2-1 interventions to assist people to change their behaviour, in addition to the delivery of a Respect accredited, structured abuse prevention programme delivered with a co-worker.
There may be additional opportunities for sessional programme delivery of other programmes.
The role will also include working with other agencies to ensure that a coordinated community response approach is taken to support the persons recovery and personal goals and attendance at multi agency meetings as required.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those affected by domestic abuse.
Client Based Duties
- Identify and assess the risks and needs of individuals who are abusive in a relationship or other domestic setting, using an evidence-based risk identification checklist e.g. Respect RIC.
- Advocate for individuals who need to address their abusive behaviour.
- Take part in casework meetings with other workers and share information with the Partner Safety Worker/affected Others Worker for men on the structured programme.
- Co-facilitate an accredited group programme one evening a week.
- Where possible, cover holiday/sickness absence of other group facilitators.
- To implement actions agreed in casework discussions.
- Understand the role of all relevant statutory and non-statutory services available to those who are abusive and how your role fits into them.
- Liaise closely with and refer on to other organisations that support victims for the partners of those receiving 1-2-1 support.
- Support the client to recognise their abusive behaviour and the effect that it has on others/their families and assist them in recognising the features and dynamics of domestic abuse present in their situation, and help them change unhealthy patterns of behaviour.
- Understand multi-agency partnership structures and work within a multi-agency setting which may include participation at the MARAC/MAPPA. You will contribute interventions and help design a plan to protect victims and affected others, whilst maintaining an independent role on behalf of your client, keeping the safety of those affected at the forefront of all actions.
- Ensure support provided is accessible to clients in terms of location and times.
- Be proactive with your line manager in carrying out regular case reviews based on a review of risk and abuse which:
- Feeds back into action planning to further progress, signpost or close cases and;
- Provides feedback to your clients/agencies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential case management records and safety plans and contribute to monitoring information for the service.
- Respect and value the diversity of the community in which the services works in, and recognise the needs and concerns of a diverse range of people ensuring the service is accessible.
- Remain up-to-date and compliant with all organisational procedures policies and professional codes of conduct and uphold standards of best practice.
- Utilise evaluation and monitoring systems to ensure high standards of service are consistently achieved e.g. Orchard Database.
Other
- In partnership with other 1-2-1 BC Advisors, support the development of the 1-2-1 service offering ensuring consistency across the organisation.
- Deliver a flexible model of 1-2-1 work, evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and design new interventions as appropriate.
- Co-deliver awareness raising open days for professionals.
- Contribute to reports for FearFree management as requested.
- Comply with data protection legislation, confidentiality and information sharing policy and procedures and all legislation connected to your work.
- Support colleagues and partner agencies, through awareness raising and institutional advocacy, in order to provide the best possible service for those who are abusive within a family setting.
General

About the role
We’re looking for an experienced social worker to join our Central Support & Social Care Team in the role of Senior Practitioner.
The Central Support & Social Care Team is a home-based team providing phone and digital support to children and young people with cancer across the UK. The team works alongside our social work teams in hospitals to deliver tailored support.
This role will manage the strand of the team's work that delivers support to those assessed to have lower-level needs. This is carried out through regular phone-based contact, and provision of an inbound service providing advice and support to young people with cancer, their families and those in their networks.
This is an exciting time to join the team as we look to grow and maximise the potential of volunteers within the team.
This role is subject to a criminal record check. In the event of a successful application an enhanced criminal record check will be completed. This role is also subject to a Social Worker Registration.
What will I be doing?
No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy.
The role involves:
- Practice management of our care navigators (unqualified workers) and volunteers who deliver services in line with the organisation's service specifications
- Responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the strand of our service for those assessed to have lower-level needs. This includes scheduling planned outbound calls ensuring they meet the contact needs and preferences of young people and families, and accepting new referrals from our social care teams across the UK
- Oversight of incoming enquiries, through webchat, phone and email
- Providing reflective practice and development opportunities to our care navigators
- Fostering and maintaining good working relationships with key stakeholders within the organisation, and professionals & medical staff across the UK
- Working with our volunteer lead to grow and maximise the potential of volunteers in the team
What do I need?
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- A recognised professional social work qualification
- A minimum 3 years experience of working with children and young people in a social work setting, including assessment and care planning
- Experience of managing safeguarding for children and vulnerable adults - legislation, procedures and best practice
- Experience of supervising staff, students or volunteers in a social care setting
- Ability to work virtually using video conferencing to build effective relationships with stakeholders
- Understanding of oppression and the barriers that marginalised people face, and strong commitment to deliver anti-oppressive practice
- The skills to champion the service and appropriately challenge yourself, teams and partner agencies where necessary.

Right now, one of our partners, Aquarius is looking for a Drug and Alcohol Practitioner to join their Bedfordshire Young People’s Team. Aquarius helps young people aged 5-18 overcome the harm caused by drugs and alcohol by working closely with the individual, family members and other professionals . But it’s only possible with the help of people like you.
Your challenge? – To provide information and advice, brief interventions and long term structured interventions to support young people who are using drugs and alcohol or being impacted by someone else’s use. You will be conducting assessments, risk assessments, care-planning and working directly with other services such as schools, social care, mental health services and youth offending.The successful candidate must have exceptional organisational skills and the ability to work with other agencies both face to face, email and via telephone.
An energetic and confident self-starter, you will be required to hold a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies). Alternatively, we’ll consider candidates with experience of working in the substance misuse field . As well as good knowledge of alcohol/drug and health related issues, you will be used to liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals and comfortable engaging with clients in a variety of service delivery settings.
