Partnership Manager - Wales
Location: The role will be based out of the BookTrust Offices in Cardiff. BookTrust works in a hybrid and flexible way with an expectation of a minimum of 8 face to face collaboration days per month which could be at the Cardiff office, visiting partners across Wales and on occasions UK wide travel. There will therefore be reasonable travel needed to fulfil the role, with occasional overnight stays.
Contract: Full-time, open to discussing flexible and part-time options
Salary: £36,000.00

The role will also involve ensuring the successful delivery of a set of BookTrust’s programmes and activities so strong organisational skills, experience of collaborating with different internal functional teams and being thorough and meticulous will be necessary attributes.
The Partnerships Manager will also contribute to the development of new activities and programmes and lead on the programme training and national and regional events for Wales so experience of devising and implementing new programmes and training would be advantageous.

Fowler’s Syndrome UK (Registered Charity number 1196903) is a unique patient and clinician led charity that works to raise awareness, promote education and encourage research into the debilitating bladder condition Fowler’s Syndrome. The condition solely affects women and Fowler’s Syndrome UK (FSUK) is the only charity in the world to directly support women with this condition.
Fowler’s syndrome is a life changing and currently almost untreatable condition, affecting up to 20,000 women in the UK. It causes full or partial urinary retention and solely affects women*, meaning they have problems passing urine due to a difficulty in relaxing the urinary sphincter. The peak age of onset is 26. It was first described by Professor Clare Fowler, Emeritus professor of Uro-Neurology at UCLh, and FSUK’s patron, in 1985.
We estimate that there are in excess of 20,000 women in the UK suffering from, but not necessarily diagnosed with, the condition, because of the lack of knowledge about Fowler’s Syndrome both from a patient and clinician perspective.
85% of women with Fowler’s Syndrome say the condition has had a severe or devastating impact on their life.
75% of those with FS have been told their urinary symptoms are due to anxiety or ‘all in their head’
There is low awareness of the condition among the medical community outside of specialist hospitals. Only an estimated 30% of GPs are aware of Fowler’s Syndrome. Once diagnosed, there are few resources available for patients and limited treatment options. Many women feel alone and unsupported.
Our mission is to provide resources, promote education and facilitate research into Fowler’s syndrome; so women with the condition have stigma free access to a timely diagnosis, suitable and effective treatment options, care and psychological support.

The Role: Administrator
The administrator’s role is to support the CEO in the daily management of the charity. This will include administration, delivering resources, comms including social media and website, outreach and events, fundraising and research. It will also include supporting the CEO and Patient Liaison with seminars and conferences, and support groups.
Administration: Support the CEO and the Finance and Governance lead with daily activities, including but not limited to grant applications, basic finance administration, project management, project delivery, database management, office management. Objective: Improve efficiency and quality of the charity’s management
Resources: Supporting the CEO and working to deliver first class resources. Working with the CEO and Patient Liaison to efficiently and effectively run the roll out of our resources, following the CEO’s guidelines and the charity’s mission and vision. This will include Healthcare professional (HCP) leaflets, Patient leaflets, a catheter support series, mental health support series, Pain management support from pharmacists and Physiotherapist led sessions. This will also include management of zoom and in person groups, dissemination of information on studies and surveys.
Comms: Manage the patient database including GDPR, manage newsletters, PR, website. Manage FSUK’s social media, with direction from the CEO. Daily posts plus responding to queries and signposting. Social media partnerships. Monthly email to database. Basic updates to website
Outreach and events: Drive awareness of FSUK in the local community and beyond Work with CEO to manage merchandising, registration, setup, logistics of events. Find, plan and represent FSUK at events. Manage yearly even calendar. Working with the CEO and administrator to plan, organise and run events, including transformative one-day seminar for healthcare professionals and a two-day seminar for FSUK users and clinicians.
Fundraising: Help the CEO and Patient liaison with fundraising, both on an individual and trust basis.
Community led research: Assist the CEO in creating patient led community research.
Research: Assist the CEO and work with the Patient Liaison in creating and conducting research. Including Patient perspectives input into consensus guidelines for non-surgical management, Dr. Ingrid Hoeritzauer, Patient experiences with sacral neuromodulation, Dr. Caroline Selai, Awareness of FS among UK urology community, Prof Jalesh Panicker via University Cambridge, Physiotherapy treatment experiences with FS and CIUR, Dr. Ingrid Hoeritzauer. Our research will help enable women to receive the support they need and fulfil their potential, offering quicker diagnosis and better treatments and enabling our community to thrive.
There may be occasions where staff are required to work out of hours or support at events, including wish related activities such as our annual wish family Christmas party or wish community events, cheering runners at the London marathon or working at our annual fundraising gala. Working arrangements

CW+ - Philanthropy Manager

CW+, the official charity of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, is seeking an experienced and ambitious individual to shape and develop a portfolio of circa 80 donors and prospects and seek new potential donors to support their work.
Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is one of the top ranked and top performing healthcare Trusts in the UK, providing care to a community of over one million people across two hospital sites and twelve community clinics. The Trust is the fourth largest A&E provider in the UK, treating over 300,000 patients each year.
Over the last six years CW+ has grown its fundraising programme extensively and is now seeking a Philanthropy Manager to join their team at a crucial stage in their Thirty at Thirty major appeal – its ambitious programme to raise £30m to celebrate the Trust’s 30th birthday. This will be the largest fundraising drive in the charity’s history and a successful, effective team will be central to its success.
The role will be responsible for cultivating and securing gifts from existing and new high-value donors, with a focus on securing five and six figure donations. The post-holder will initiate, foster and develop rich, long-term relationships with donors capable of giving transformational support to CW+ and develop and grow the current major giving pipeline and portfolio of major gifts from high net worth individuals.
As the portfolio is mixed in its development, it is important that this post holder can work with tenacity and resilience in an ever evolving landscape of relationships and opportunities, in close collaboration with the Chief Executive and the Director of Fundraising. The successful candidate must have a positive, pro-active, donor-centric approach to relationship fundraising and demonstrate proven success at securing major gift support from individuals and family trusts/foundations. Alongside excellent relationship and communication skills, candidates must be confident, resourceful and proactive, with initiative and a problem-solving disposition.

About the Organisation
Together We Learn is a small international development charity with a vision to break the cycle of poverty in Ethiopia by enabling disadvantaged children to access quality education.
We have been working closely with our Ethiopian partner organisation for over 25 years to achieve this. Our UK team is a small, close- knit team that supports the fundraising, international communications, and project delivery of the Ethiopian team.
Our approach is to work alongside state education infrastructure, addressing a range of needs related to access to and quality of education, as well as children’s wellbeing.
Our work with schools includes school infrastructure projects - providing safe, local schools - and supporting teachers with training and resources to inspire children to flourish in the classroom. We also work closely with the children, their families and communities to understand and address the issues they face at home and how these impact their ability to attend and concentrate in school.
We are at the start of a new strategic phase with a focus on building the capacity of our Ethiopian partner organisation to shift the power and be more locally-led in our work.

Project Coordinator
The Role: The Project Coordinator supports our Ethiopian Projects team deliver, monitor, evaluate and report on our various project activities. The role involves regular communication with both our regional project teams and management, supporting the team to meet project deadlines, driving continual programme improvement through monitoring, evaluation and learning, and supporting the UK Chief Executive with project reporting and funding proposals.
Reports to: Chief Executive
Hours: 15 hours per week (part-time role 40%)
Salary: £8,620 per annum (21,550 pro rata)
Location: London office, preference for hybrid working, remote applications considered, employee must be living in the UK.

Responsibilities
Supporting project delivery (70%)
- Regularly liaising with our project teams in Ethiopia to support them to monitor project deliverables alongside project plans in a timely manner and ensure changes are communicated to relevant parties
- Support with monitoring, evaluation and learning processes by ensuring monitoring and evaluation deadlines are met, collating, analysing and formatting data for review, leading discussions on impact review and supporting discussions for continuous programme development. Including managing office volunteers to support our work in these areas.
- Support the Ethiopian team to track and understand markers of good quality, sustainable projects and to continuously improve upon these.
- Supporting the Ethiopia team to develop projects, applying learning from evaluations and developing new project concepts.
- Supporting the team to include and prioritise beneficiary perspective to lead project design, implementation and monitoring procedures
- Support the Ethiopian team to develop, include and adhere to all organisational policies and procedures, with special attention to safeguarding.
Fundraising (20%)
- Reporting to donors and funders on project delivery, ensuring deadlines for reporting are met, collating data and Ethiopian team feedback, and writing up funder reports in a timely manner.
- Supporting the Chief Executive to research potential funders and prepare and evidence funding proposals.
- Drafting template funder proposals.
- Occasionally attending funder events
- Support the UK team to communicate with supporters via monitoring the fundraising inbox, liaising with international volunteers, tour guests or other queries.

The role will work with the Lead for Public Sector Development, Senior Public Sector Development Managers, and a fellow Public Sector Development Manager towards a shared income target of around £5 million per annum. These funds will create ground-breaking NSPCC projects that support millions of children and help prevent abuse across the UK.
The Public Sector Development Manager will work at both a national and local level to secure grants that help the Statutory team achieve its annual income target. Working across the charity, she/they/he will build relationships with colleagues and senior stakeholders, and source and share information with funders through engaging written materials, phone conversations and face-to-face meetings. Alongside managing their own portfolio, she/they/he will support team members to maximise income from public sector funding streams.
The Major Giving department is open and supportive with an active social life The wider Trusts & Statutory Team has grown considerably - increasing its annual income by more than £6 million since 2017/18. With bespoke training opportunities, room for significant development and growth, and the support of colleagues and resource teams, the role will provide the opportunity to make a positive change for children and families across the UK.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience of working with major funders, successfully bidding for their support and providing ongoing stewardship
- The ability to produce compelling written materials of the highest quality
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Proven success in delivering financial objectives through effective bid management
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week (typically 3-4 days delivering face-to-face clinics, 1-2 days working from home)

Every three minutes someone in the UK develops dementia: a progressive and complex condition that can be devastating for the whole family. One in two of us will be affected by dementia in our lifetime – either by caring for someone with the condition, developing it ourselves, or both.
Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nursing charity that is there for the whole family. Our specialist nurses, known as Admiral Nurses, provide free, expert advice, support and understanding to help families care for their loved one. Every day, Admiral Nurses help families up and down the country to have the best life possible, for as long as possible.
Purpose of the job/about the role
Dementia UK has entered into an exciting three-year corporate partnership with a national partner to bring face-to-face Admiral Nursing to the high street at locations across the UK.
You will be working within a defined area within one of the following regions, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales, England (Northern, Central, South-West, South-East, and London).
As part of the national Clinics Programme Team, you will provide in-person biopsychosocial support and advice, sharing your specialist dementia nursing expertise to help families manage the complexities of the condition. Your focus will be on supporting family carers, people affected by dementia, and professionals who require specialist dementia guidance in areas of the UK where Admiral Nurse services are currently unavailable, bringing a much-needed service directly to local communities. Throughout your work, you will consistently promote Admiral Nursing and a family-centred approach to dementia care.
You will receive full support with your continuous professional development from the Admiral Nurse Academy.
As this unique nursing role offers you the opportunity to travel within your defined region, which may include some overnight stays, flexibility will be essential. When not delivering face-to-face clinics, you will work from home, which may include providing support on our Admiral Nurse Helpline.
