Role responsibilities

Human Resources Support

• Recruitment: Support the recruitment process by helping to create job descriptions, place adverts, attract quality candidates and conduct assessments.
• Staff Onboarding: Ensure all new staff are welcomed and integrated into the organisation, guided by the new starter checklist.
• DBS & Safer Recruitment: Ensure the safety and well-being of all beneficiaries, by ensuring appropriate DBS checks are conducted for all employees, volunteers, trustees, and contractors who work with or have access to children, young people, or vulnerable adults and employees
• HR Administration: Support HR administration by managing contact databases, probation period deadlines and performance review schedules.
• Employee Relations: Help promote a positive work culture by facilitating open communication, addressing workplace issues and supporting the management of any employee conflicts or grievances.
• Managing Employee Benefits: such as the Employee Assistance Programme, annual leave entitlement and apparel.
• Training Requirements: Manage training schedule for the team, including first aid, health and safety, data protection and safeguarding.

Compliance Support

• Data Protection: Support the Data Protection Officer in ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.

• Documentation Management: Document and manage the retention schedule and naming conventions.
• Policy and Procedure Management: Manage the review schedule for policies and procedures, helping the Board and EMT ensure compliance with the Tier 3 Code for Sports Governance.
• Workplace Safety and Health: Help ensure a safe and healthy work environment by implementing safety protocols, training programmes and complying with regulatory standards related to workplace safety, such as workplace assessments.
• Insurance: Manage insurance policies schedules for equipment, personal liability, professional liability, etc.

IT Support

• Technology: Support the implementation of new technology solutions, such as HR and Monitoring and Evaluation systems.
• System Access: Manage access for systems like Worknest E-learning, SharePoint, etc.
• Microsoft Implementation: Create and manage Microsoft 365 accounts for staff and board members.
• Filing Structure Oversight: Maintain and oversee the organisation’s SharePoint filing structure.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure appropriate maintenance, updates, and training for IT equipment.

Executive Management Team (EMT) and Board Support

• EMT Support: Provide support to the Executive Management Team where necessary.
• Board Meeting Arrangements: Arrange board meetings and AGM, including communicating with members, taking minutes when required and filing documents.
• Governance Documentation: Keep the website updated with governance documentation.
• Trustee and Member registration: Manage the registration and setup for trustees and members

Office Management

• Point of Contact: Serve as the primary contact for internal and external enquiries, manage phone calls, and handle mail.
• Office Staffing Management: Oversee bookings, phones, and ensure adequate office staffing levels.
• Contract and Compliance Management: Oversee contract details and renewals for office equipment, supplies, health and safety checks, fire safety and liaison with landlord.
• Booking Assistance: Assist staff with bookings for vans, events, travel, etc. such as at our presence at the National Cycle Show and other major cycling and disability inclusion events.

Who are Women’s Aid?

Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. We are a federation of over 170 organisations which provide just under 300 local lifesaving services to women and children across England. Purpose of the Membership Support Officer role: 

As Membership Support Officer, the successful candidate will play an integral role within the Membership Services directorate to increase the engagement, loyalty, and satisfaction of members and maximise subscription, accreditation, and other sustainable commercial income opportunities, both for the organisation and it’s membership through excellent service delivery.

Through innovative and creative strategies, engage with members to support and anticipate their needs across all platforms – website, inbox, events, forums and online engagement. The Membership Support Officer will strengthen the relevance and value perception of WAFE with the primary aim of supporting team collaboration.

Key duties and responsibilities of the Membership Support Officer:

• Set up and maintain office administrative systems, processes, operating procedures and files to ensure relevant information on members are up to date and accurate
• General administrative duties to support the Membership Services such as managing calendars, updating distribution lists, development of documentation, coordinating annual renewals and supporting cross-team projects and meetings.
• To be a central point of contact for members and other organisations/individuals requesting and receiving support from Women’s Aid

 What we are looking for in our Membership Support Officer:

• Good understanding of the experience and needs of women and children affected by domestic and sexual violence – as well as the importance of intersectionality and the impact of oppression.
• Knowledge of CMS & CRM technologies
• Experience of collating, inputting and analysing data, report writing and briefings for a variety of audiences
• Good understanding of the role of specialist services, Imkaan and Women’s Aid membership bodies.

Working across all our campaigns, from tackling climate change and protecting nature to championing fair treatment of workers and shaping healthier societies, the team creates impactful content to help persuade decision makers in government, companies and financial institutions to act on behalf of people and planet.

Position

We’re looking for a hands-on manager with a strategic mind-set to drive ShareAction’s digital communications function and act as a key advisor to colleagues across the organisation. You will bring a level of technical expertise to the team and organisation, ensuring that we present our content and brand effectively to all our audiences on all digital channels - website, socials, public supporter emails, investor e-newsletter, and a bespoke platform where supporters can register for AGM activism – as well as advising on the production and design of our publications. You'll be an excellent line manager with great organisational skills who can guide the digital team of two to produce high-quality content, including through the development and implementation of a digital strategy.

What you’ll do (key responsibilities)

• Advise colleagues across the organisation on strategic digital communications approach to achieve brand, engagement and influencing goals, including to add reputational pressure and inspire support for corporate campaigns.
• Act as technical expert responsible for owning and implementing the digital strategy to provide effective cross-channel user journeys and increase engagement, including guidance on use of paid social media and advertising.
• Provide empowering and inspiring line-management to support the digital team to deliver high-quality work and to develop their skills, and to ensure efficient processes, smooth workflow and manageable workloads.

Requirements

What you’ll bring to the team

• Experience using content management systems and technical knowledge to be able to work with web developers/agencies on bespoke projects and ongoing maintenance.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills, with a flair for breaking down complex issues to produce compelling and accessible content.
• Line management experience.
• Experience managing social media channels and allocating budget for paid/ ad campaigns, especially Linked:In.
• Experience using Adobe including Photoshop and InDesign.
• Experience using Google Analytics and producing internal reports.
• Excellent organisational skills, with ability to project manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, changing campaigning environment.

Desirable

• Experience managing supporter email lists and databases such as Engaging Network.
• Knowledge of data protection regulations/GDPR.
• Experience producing publications and commissioning freelancers from copy editors to graphic designers.

We are currently formalising our hybrid working policy, however, the full Communications team meets in the office on a monthly basis, and also join quarterly directorate workshops in person. In addition, there are two all-staff mandatory events a year.

Citadel is a volunteer-led project preventing homelessness by helping people find or sustain their tenancies and establish a home. Volunteers, once recruited, trained and DBS checked are matched with those referred for support. Co-ordinators and volunteers work closely with those referred to establish what matters to them and how best they can support them.

The Ageing Well Functional Fitness MOT project is aimed at supporting mild to moderately frail residents of the Frognal area of Bexley with falls prevention, improvement of functional wellness and to provide signposting for sessions to enhance functional fitness within this defined area.  The project will be working to engage with people who may be experiencing health challenges but are not accessing support, therefore engaging with them prior to a crisis.

Your role will be to create and lead a network of organisations and individuals to deliver functional fitness "MOTs" and who can provide support for functional fitness.  You will also provide a regular link with the local population which could be utilised by other services and campaigns such as cancer prevention or dementia awareness. You will work to strengthen the network of community groups, statutory services and businesses working together to deliver improvements to health and wellbeing. You will engage with local residents to gather feedback about what is important to them and involve people in the development of additional health and wellbeing support.

POSITION SUMMARY

Business Launchpad wishes to hire a highly organised, process-driven individual to oversee operations for its Tooting Works business centre.

As a key member of the Tooting Works team, the Operations Manager oversees the renting of our office units, tenant relations, and building maintenance and management, among other things. The post holder ensures the centre is run to a high standard, including excellent customer service, compliance with all current building and health and safety legislation, a high occupancy level and operation within budget.

The Operations Manager line manages four team members, making up the lettings team and the maintenance team, and works closely with other teams, including marketing, finance and the delivery team for the Business Launchpad charity.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Centre Operations Management

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the business centre, ensuring all facilities are well-maintained and running smoothly, and that the lettings process is compliant and well-managed.
• Implement and monitor operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and service quality, including opportunities to digitise procedures and services.
• Manage building improvement and repair projects in collaboration with the maintenance team and the operations director.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and manage risk assessments.
• Identify, anticipate and address problems and opportunities for the business centre in collaboration with senior management.

Customer Service

• Act as a point of contact for tenants, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our fledgling Fundraising Team and develop a trust fundraising programme from the ground up.  We are looking for someone with experience in raising funds from trusts and foundations, who is an excellent communicator - spoken and written – and who can undertake research to effectively identify appropriate prospects.  You will help to develop our case for support and develop a suite of proposals and reports that will convey to funders what Parentkind does, what the parents and schools we work with want, and how we support them.  Attention to detail is key, as is the ability to manage your time and prioritise your work.

Insects pollinate £690 million worth of crops in the UK annually, with wild pollinators carrying out 85-95% of this. Many species of bee, moth, butterfly, hoverfly, fly and beetle provide this essential service. Despite this, the steep decline of pollinating insects, and the loss of the habitats that support them, are well documented. One terrifying example is the loss of 97% of UK wildflower meadows since the 1930s.

There is a commitment in Avon Wildlife Trust and partner organisations in the West of England to halt and reverse these losses, with an ambition to become the UK’s Bee & Pollinator Capital. As the Pollinator Recovery Manager, you will be key in reaching these goals.

The initial project focuses on the West Mendips, between AWT’s reserves of Folly Farm and Browne’s Folly. You and your team will work with farmers, landowners and communities to grow the network of habitats between these reserves. To ensure climate resilience, you will work on a variety of priority habitats including grasslands, hedgerows, in-filed trees and carry out improvements to woodland edges, all of which are key to the survival of pollinating species.

As the Pollinator Recovery Manager you will:

· Lead and grow your team and portfolio of projects, offering advice and support to farmers, landowners and communities who want to help native insect pollinators.

· Develop and deliver inspiring events that raise awareness, conduct research, and create habitats on the ground.

· Champion the needs of pollinators in strategic partnerships and work with expert partners, such as BugLife, to monitor sites and explore how climate change affects pollinators and the habitats they rely on.

We rescue surplus food from businesses, supermarkets, restaurants and farms. This food is nutritious, in-date, and safe and includes a high proportion of fresh vegetables, fruit, meat and fish. Purpose of the Job 

To support in both the design & creation and the day to day running & implementation of Felix's Kitchen new employability programme and then be the key driving force behind delivering these programmes. 

You will be leading a team of chef apprentices, providing them with hands on skills training created by yourself alongside the accredited course, supporting them with functional skills training, being their day-to-day line manager and supporting other employability programmes within the Felix Project in particular Felix’s Kitchen other programmes.  

You will work alongside the wider Felix Kitchen team and support your programme to integrate into the main production kitchen. You will take a leading role in supporting Felix’s Kitchen at events and engagement opportunities, supporting the apprentices being a huge part of these events, both on and off site. The training kitchen will be your base and you will be responsible for the safe and effective running of this part of the kitchen, maximising its impact on the programmes as well as exploring other opportunities for its use, hosting visitors and charity partners. You will be a key part of all reporting and evaluations of our employability programmes.
