Fundraising is still a relatively new activity for DFN Project SEARCH and this role presents the opportunity to play a key part in its expansion to support the further growth of the charity and enable young adults with a learning disability to lead healthier, happier, and more independent lives.
This role will support the Director of Development in implementing DFN Project SEARCH’s fundraising strategy. To date the strategy has focused on securing a small number of larger gifts from philanthropic sources, such as trusts and foundations. We are now evolving the strategy to include growing income from high-net-worth individuals, companies, and individual giving.
This role will lead on the development and implementation of the strategy to secure income from high-net-worth individuals (between five and potentially seven figures) and will also work with the Director of Development and the Development Officer on securing income from, and stewarding, trusts, foundations, and statutory funders. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team there is also the opportunity to input to the wider strategy and development of the charity and support the Director of Development in their role as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
The team is currently made up of the Director of Development, Corporate Partnership Manager (reporting to the Director of Development), and the Development Officer (reporting to this new role).

The Estate Officer will ensure the delivery of the regional maintenance programme, comprising routine, periodic, planned and urgent works, and the delivery of time limited maintenance consultancy and estate management projects. Working alongside the Conservation Projects Manager, the post holder will ensure regional estate compliance with CCT policies.
The post holder will be the main contact for all maintenance related matters and will maintain the property management records for the estate, develop volunteer projects and training on maintenance reporting and conservation cleaning and will assist with fundraising.

- Respond to school queries via a support desk either by phone or email in a timely manner. Escalating to colleagues within the service as appropriate.
- Share knowledge, ideas, feedback and evidence of good practice with schools to inspire and encourage improved delivery of the breakfast provision.
- Work closely with colleagues and partners supplying the service delivery, ensuring any issues relating to Food orders, deliveries or provision help are reported and action is taken immediately.

- The successful candidate will preferably be educated to degree level or relevant professional qualification to level 3. Have experience of working in customer service environments or experience of being first point of contact and providing high quality support.
- Experience of working in an educational setting or in partnership with schools or other educational providers and knowledge of how schools operate.
- Experience working in a remote team with the ability to confidently build relationships with a range of professionals, stakeholders and services.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills including the ability to engage a range of audiences virtually.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong IT and administration skills and a high level of competency in the use of Salesforce or a similar CRM tool.

The Role
The Live Music Coordinator will facilitate the delivery of live music experiences across the North of England, improving the health and wellbeing of children and adults through the healing power of live music.
You will work with professional musicians to share live music with people who may not otherwise get to experience it, organising programmes with partner organisations, in line with the organisation’s strategy and operational plan.
You will also support the delivery of the annual programme of live music experiences communicating with hospitals, hospices, care homes and the community. This includes those living with dementia, who have mental health problems, or who are seriously ill.

- Coordination of the live music programme

As a Research and Insight Analyst at the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC), you will be a key member of the Analysis and Insights (A&I) team, dedicated to empowering the NFCC and UK Fire and Rescue Services with actionable insights that drive informed decision-making. You will work collaboratively with a team of research and data analysis professionals to support the team's objectives and contribute to the wider goals of the NFCC.
Your role will involve using your skills to deliver valuable insights through effective information gathering, detailed analysis, and comprehensive reporting. You will work on both routine and ad-hoc projects, supporting the team in responding to major events within the fire and rescue sector.
Key responsibilities of a Research & Insight Analyst:
Following the processes and policies set out in the A&I team’s terms of reference document, to ensure high quality, consistent approaches to all work.
Designing and executing information gathering exercises, ensuring that they are clear, easy to understand and will yield the information required to produce the identified output.
Information gathering methods primarily include designing online survey tools and question sets but can also include workshops, interviews and focus groups.
Ensuring the validation and quality assurance of any information gathered to ensure that all insights gathered are accurate and statistically significant.
Interpreting findings and drawing meaningful conclusions using quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques.
Producing clear, concise and well-structured outputs, utilising visualisations to enhance understanding and engagement when presenting to stakeholders. These outputs could be developed using MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI or similar.

Supporting the work of the NFCC Organisational Learning team and ACER (Academic, Collaboration, Evaluation and Research) Group
Familiarity with research methodologies and outputs, such as literature reviews, and using them to identify trends, gaps, and best practices
Assisting as required when the A&I team is commissioned to support work related to major events or incidents
Assisting as required with team administrative duties
The successful candidate will have:
Experience working as a research analyst, or equivalent
Excellent qualitative research skills, including survey question design, and thematic analysis.
Excellent presentation skills with the ability to design and develop engaging outputs
Good numerical skills with the ability to spot trends and anomalies
Good MS Excel skills (including Pivot tables and charts, complex formatting and formulas)
Good communication and interpersonal skills to be able work within a team working solely from home
Some experience of data visualisation tools such as PowerBI would be beneficial
Experience working with academia and/or on academic research would be beneficial

About the Team

Job summary
The Office Administrator plays an important role in PSTT’s central administration, operations and office functions. They are the public first point of contact for general enquiries. They are responsible for various areas of administration involving our staff, Fellows, trustees and external organisations. They play a logistical role in several important areas of PSTT activity: supporting planning, logistics and key processes for our College Conference, awards, College Bulletin and other events and activities. The role also involves the collection, collation and maintenance of essential PSTT data sources.
This would be a great opportunity for someone with strong administration skills and/or for someone seeking their first post in the charity sector.

Job responsibilities
1. Deal with enquiries, including:
· General PSTT enquiries received by email or phone
· Specific enquiries sent to the PSTT team, including Area Mentors and Regional Mentors
2. Administrative responsibilities:
· Maintain data on Fellows and/or schools
· Maintain data held on the PSTT CRM system
· Implement and maintain office systems and procedures
· Use WorkNest learningnest to manage staff Health & Safety training
· Make group or individual travel arrangements and bookings for staff and trustees
· Manage post in and out of the office
· Collate feedback for Regional Mentors and Area Mentors
· Manage PSTT memberships of the Association for Science Education, Chartered College of Teaching and other external organisations
· Send published PSTT resources to the national libraries’ Legal Deposit Scheme and British Library
· Schedule monthly team meetings and take minutes
· Support the Operations Manager as required
3. Other key tasks:
· Collate and send the weekly College Bulletin
· Set up and facilitate/produce PSTT webinars and online events as required
· Organise key processes for the Primary Science Enhancement Award
· Lead logistics and administration for the Primary Science Teacher Awards
· Support planning and delivery of the College Conference, public events and other PSTT activities, liaising with staff, Fellows, venues and suppliers as required
· Maintain a grant information spreadsheet for inclusion in the College Bulletin
· General research tasks and data collection as required
4. Report to the Operations Manager on progress on all areas of responsibility, identifying any areas for further development and improvement
5. Participate in regular team meetings and other cross-team activities as required
6. Take on other responsibilities that the Operations Manager may reasonably delegate to you

The UK Humanitarian Innovation Hub (UKHIH) is looking to recruit an Operations Adviser for a Maternity Cover for up to 1 year. In this role you will have the opportunity to contribute to the successful implementation and management of UKHIH research and innovation workstreams.
Managed by the Head of Operations, the role works closely with colleagues across UKHIH and Elrha to manage a portfolio of key relationships, grants and service contracts to a high standard. The role also supports essential UKHIH operational functions, including coordinating communications, managing convening activities, and contributing to broader organizational and operational development processes and strategy.
Your application will need to demonstrate:
- Experience of grant and contract management including managing procurement processes, preparing grant agreements and service contracts, and quality assuring delivery and payment plans.
- An understanding and interest in the humanitarian or development sectors, ideally demonstrated through academic qualifications and/or paid or voluntary work.
- Experience of developing and maintaining a contacts database.
- Proven ability to provide advice and guidance relating to operational capacity building, including effective operations, grant management and the development of business cases.
- Experience of organising events and meetings bringing together diverse groups and stakeholders, online and in person.
- Excellent financial acumen with ability to analyse financial data and monitor financial reports.
