Specifically designed to support the cognitive needs of people living with dementia, My Life TV can be used by individuals and their families at home as well as in care homes. As Head of Marketing, you will lead on the implementation of marketing strategies that contribute to Care Home-facing activity as well as broader strategic plans. With ambitious growth targets, marketing activity will be focused around increasing channel subscribers and building long-term relationships with care homes.
Main responsibilities within the role will include:
· Creating a well-defined and focused marketing plan to enable the effective delivery of organisational vision and strategy for growth
· Effectively implementing all marketing activities, with a particular focus on executing B2B campaigns to encourage growth in care home subscriptions to My Life TV
· Ensuring brand proposition and positioning for My Life TV is clear, consistent and effective
· Oversight of all external communications for the charity, including Press & PR, content creation and management of our social media channels, email marketing, updating and managing our website and all marketing collateral as needed
· Participating in industry events and marketing activities including care home shows, learning events, or conferences
· Working with the Business Development Manager to implement a customer experience journey from lead generation through to the onboarding stage

This role will suit individuals with a blend of skills and experience including the ability to work both strategically and operationally within a small team with an entrepreneurial spirit. We'd love to hear from people with the following skills and experience:
· Multi-disciplinary marketing experience across a range of disciplines e.g. digital marketing, comms & PR, direct marketing etc. You don't have to be an expert in all - but understand how they work together to deliver a strategy
· Experience building a marketing strategy, and implementing the necessary systems and processes to enable its effective delivery
· A strong track record of delivering effective multi-channel campaigns, working to fixed timelines and budgets
· Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to write compelling copy for a range of different audiences - the care market, partner organisations in the dementia field, and the wider public
· Strong team player - able to work effectively within a small multi-disciplinary team
· Excellent IT skills, ideally including previous experience using sales CRM software
· Strong people skills, with an ability to relate positively to, and engage with a wide range of people

- Managing a caseload of internally referred clients with additional needs as they transition out of homelessness, ensuring that the necessary support structures are in place to facilitate successful tenancy sustainment.

Our expert team of canine behaviourists provide behavioural support and advice to teams within Battersea, members of the public, and the rescue organisations we work with around the world. The team design and help implement behaviour modification and training plans for dogs whilst coaching members of the canine care groups through the practical day-to-day steps. We are now looking to recruit a Canine Behaviour and Training Advisor for our team in Old Windsor. Within this role, you will work with our operational teams in the assessment and welfare of the dogs in our care and in the provision of behavioural training and advice for staff, volunteers, customers and external organisations. You will be working as part of a care group to create behaviour modification plans, support with handling difficult dogs and make recommendations, along with the individual care group, for individual dog outcomes.

ABOUT GLAN
The Global Legal Action Network (GLAN) works with affected communities to pursue innovative legal actions across borders to challenge states and other powerful actors involved in human rights violations and systemic injustice. Our actions address the most pressing instances of human rights concern and they fall within the following themes: War and occupation; accountability and supply chains; environmental and economic justice; and migration and border violence.
Since our establishment in 2016, we have developed legal strategies directly addressing human rights impacts in over 23 countries and territories. Our cases include the successful legal challenge against imports of cotton produced with forced labour in Xinjiang (East Turkistan) into the UK on behalf of World Uyghur Congress and the climate case against 32 European States before the Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights, brought on behalf of six Portuguese youth-applicants.
More recently, we have supported the preeminent Palestinian human rights organisation Al Haq, to rapidly challenge UK weapons exports to Israel due to the risk of these arms being used in violations of international law.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Head of Strategic Communications at GLAN, you will spearhead the development and execution of a comprehensive communications strategy that amplifies GLAN's mission and impact on a global scale.
You will lead the strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation of all communications efforts to enhance the organisation's brand, increase public awareness, and support advocacy and fundraising initiatives.

This is an exciting time to join GLAN. At this point in time, the team is small with some budget to work with external freelancers, consultants or agencies. KEY RESPONSIBITIES
Communications Strategy
- Align cross-media communication strategies with thematic goals to maximise success across all initiatives. Develop campaign & advocacy communications which will influence change.
- Collaborate with project delivery teams across GLAN to ensure a consistent calendar of communications, highlighting all key areas of work.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing communications and advocacy team, currently including a Campaigns Coordinator.

The Helen Bamber Foundation (HBF) is a specialist UK charity which provides expert care and support survivors of torture, trafficking and other extreme human cruelty. We work with hundreds of clients every year from all over the world.
The expertise of the Foundation is renowned in the field. Through the Model of Integrated Care, HBF offers survivors access to an individually tailored programme of specialist therapy, medical advisory services, legal protection including providing expert medico-legal documentation as part of the MLR Service, welfare and housing support, and creative and skills activities within an integration programme. OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
HBF is seeking an experienced and dynamic lawyer for an interim period to give direction to the Legal Protection, Medico-Legal and Client Services of the Foundation. This role is crucial for advancing the rights and protection of our clients, many of whom are vulnerable individuals seeking asylum or are survivors of trafficking. We do not provide legal representation directly to our clients, instead we act as a support team to our clients and their legal representation by providing second tier advice. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, ensure the highest standards of legal protection, and contribute to the overall mission of the Foundation including developing relationships that promote HBF’s expertise and reputation. The Communications Executive will co-ordinate and contribute to the planning, implementation, and optimisation of all internal and external communications. This will range from attraction campaigns, public relations, and the internal engagement calendar and events.

With funding made available by Islington Council, we provide wraparound support in the form of orientation workshops; health and wellbeing; information relating to the asylum process; ESOL classes; social activities and befriending.

Recruit volunteers who will provide regular learning opportunities and befriending for hotel residents, including recruitment from within the resident group
Arrange Safeguarding courses and DBS checks for volunteers
Provide information to potential and newly recruited volunteers on the values, activities and scope of the programme
Maintain regular contact and support for volunteers
Manage a timetable for ESOL groups
Liaise with hotel staff and external partners to maximise learning opportunities for students
Plan English classes and provide appropriate learning materials and resources
Provide volunteers and participants with information on other opportunities within our programme such as workshops on the asylum process and health and wellbeing and other free opportunities
Report any safeguarding issues in a timely manner
Work closely with our Social Justice Worker and attend weekly drop-ins
Carry out follow-up referral work

Essential
Experience of providing ESOL
Understanding of approaches to language learning
Understanding of the situation of asylum seekers in the UK and empathise with them
Experience of volunteering, recruiting and supporting volunteers
Good organisational and administrative skills
Experience of group work in a community setting
Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding concerns for vulnerable adults
Desirable
Ability to speak one or more of the languages spoken by hostel residents, currently Farsi, Arabic, Tigrayan, Kurdish Sorani, and French
Qualification in adult education
