About the role

You will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering internal training programmes to enhance the skills and knowledge of our staff and volunteers, aligned with our Learning & Development (L&D) policy.

Working closely with managers and subject matter experts, you will identify training needs, create engaging learning materials, and ensure that all training aligns with best practices.

You will also oversee training logistics, maintain accurate records, and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives.

You will be passionate about supporting teams to provide high quality services.

You will have experience in learning and development, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of the challenges faced by people accessing EF support.

This is a national role, you will be expected to travel to all of our bases across England.

About you

You will have experience of developing, delivering and quality assuring training in the health and social care field.

You should also have:

• Experience of recording information, analysis and presentation of data.
• Flexible approach to training delivery, including face-to-face, virtual, and blended learning across the country.
• Understanding of different learning styles including neurodiversity and how to support all styles
• Experience of planning training or events.
• Ability to gather, analyse, and act on feedback to improve training content and delivery.
• Ability to manage multiple training projects, schedules, and deadlines effectively.
• Ability to maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with legal or organisational standards.

How we work with Employers and Higher Education Institutions

At Unifrog, we partner with universities and employers to help them connect with our global network of highly engaged students, teachers and careers leaders.

Our partnerships allow universities and employers to co-create content which can be accessed on the Unifrog platform (including online subject taster courses and day-in-the-life videos), share upcoming events and opportunities with relevant Unifrog students and teachers, and take part in a series of events throughout the year aimed at providing students at Unifrog schools with all the information they need to make the best decisions for their futures, and create the strongest applications.

The Employer and HE teams exist to support each of Unifrog's university and employer partners to make the most of their partnership with Unifrog, and to secure new partnerships with universities and employers who could benefit from a relationship with Unifrog.

The role and responsibilities

As New Business Lead for Employer and HE Partnerships, you will play a pivotal role in driving Unifrog’s growth in our employer and higher education markets. You’ll need to be target driven to help create a wider network of universities and employers to support Unifrog students from around the world to find their best next step.

You will be given support by both the HE and Employer teams but will also have the autonomy to lead your own campaigns and projects. 

You will be able to develop your skills, strengths and interests. We always look to make space for our team to grow within the company, and we have a general policy of promoting within.

Your key responsibilities:

• Design tailored campaigns involving emails, phone calls, webinars and social media, to target employers and higher education institutions in a smart and engaging way.

• Communicate with interested employers and higher education institutions to explain the work we do at Unifrog and the partnerships we offer in a compelling manner to secure online demonstrations for our Employer and Higher Education Partnership Managers.

• Attend conferences (sometimes overseas) to promote the work we do at Unifrog and network with relevant stakeholders in the employer and higher education sectors.

• Be the first port of call for partnership/collaboration enquiries from employers and higher education institutions.

• Work with our team of Employer and Higher Education Partnership Managers to understand the challenges they face and how you can support them in growing their partner bases.

• Analyse data from the Unifrog platform to inform your research around suitable higher education institutions and employers that we don’t work with but who would benefit from a partnership with us. 

• Support with other projects such as organising conferences, analysing our competitors, and reviewing our marketing collateral.

• Communicate information about our line up of online and in-person events to non-partner HE institutions, to secure their attendance at these events.

• Gain an in-depth understanding of our competitors in the market.
   

Working together

You’ll be working with the HE and Employer teams, alongside the Partnerships Director for International Schools and HE (who will be your line manager), the Partnerships Director for UK Schools and Employers, the Head of Employer Partnerships, and the Head of HE Partnerships. Your projects will also see you collaborating closely with the Marketing team.

We are looking for an empathetic, organised and proactive Services Manager to join our team. This role will oversee the day-to-day delivery of Sebby’s Corner’s core support services, including Essentials Support Collections, our New Parent Baby Essentials Experience, and seasonal programmes like School Uniform Support and Christmas Support.

You will work closely with referral partners, families and our internal team to ensure that every interaction is positive, dignified, and effective. You’ll also take the lead on safeguarding and be responsible for signposting families to external support where appropriate.

About Sebby’s Corner

Sebby's Corner is based in Barnet, EN5 and our aim is to ensure that no child goes without the basic essentials they need to thrive. We supply items such as clothing, nappies, formula and baby equipment to local families living in poverty. Families in need get referred to us by social workers, health visitors, family support workers, midwives and other professionals from our 800-strong referral partner network.

We also offer school uniform support in the summer and a Birthday Club that ensures children have the chance to celebrate with gifts, balloons and a cake. At Christmas, we host a festive shop where families can choose presents for their children, giving children the chance to have a Christmas just like their peers.

Key Tasks and Accountabilities

Service Delivery

• Guiding families during their New Parent Baby Essentials Experience appointment, helping them choose the items they need for their baby. Ensure clients feel supported and empowered when choosing items.
• Coordinate logistics, appointments, stock, and setup for our two seasonal services within a set timeline and budget - Christmas Support and School Uniform Support.
• Manage booking system across our services
• Ensure families and referral partners have a welcoming and respectful experience at the hub.
• Support complex referrals and work alongside the Referrals Coordinator to meet urgent or sensitive needs.
• Supporting our Referrals Co-ordinator with the Essentials Support service during busy periods to ensure families and referral partners who are collecting receive a positive and dignified experience and receive the items they requested.

Impact & Evaluation

• Gather and respond to feedback from families and volunteers to improve future service delivery.
• Provide reporting and statistics for impact reporting.

Referral Partner Engagement

• Act as a main point of contact for referral partners and schools.
• Onboarding new referral partners by providing clear information about service criteria, availability, and referral processes.
• Deliver briefings, training sessions, and guidance materials to improve referral quality and understanding.

Signposting & Partnerships

• Help families access additional support by providing signposting to trusted local services.
• Maintain a regularly updated resource list on the website and collaborate with partners to expand support options.
• Promote and lead on our Service Delivery partnerships such as educational workshops with Parent Learning Platform and antenatal classes with All About Babies and encourage family engagement.

Safeguarding

• Serve as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and first point of contact for all safeguarding concerns. Make onward safeguarding referrals via MASH where necessary.
• Ensure all staff and volunteers receive appropriate safeguarding training.
• Create a culture of safety and openness, where concerns are raised and addressed appropriately.

What we can offer

Salary and pension
The salary range for this role is £30,000 - £34,000 FTE per annum (gross), dependent on experience and pro-rated if you work part-time. If eligible to join the pension scheme, we will match your contributions by 5%.

Annual leave
You will be entitled to 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rated for part-time roles). We usually close between Christmas and New Year without this time coming off your annual leave allowance.

The Workforce and Careers Co-ordinator is a very important role at the College as you will work on a set of projects with the overall goal of ensuring the provision of the necessary paediatric medical workforce to deliver an excellent standard of service for children and young people in the UK.

As Workforce and Careers Co-ordinator, you will support the Workforce Manager on scoping tasks for relevant projects in line with the departmental operational plan, including creating project plans and defining activities and milestones, whilst ensuring good project management principles, including project deliverables, are adhered to through effective budget, time and risk control.

Taking the lead on allocated Workforce and Careers projects, you will strategise, research and collaborate with internal teams, Workforce Planning Board representatives and external bodies as required, whilst regularly liaising with the Policy teams for both England and the Devolved Nations to ensure all Workforce and Careers output is aligned with College messaging and advocacy.

You will also support the Workforce Manager and Data Analyst on data-based analysis and report writing where necessary, providing regular updates and presenting project progress and/or final output to senior colleagues and the Workforce Planning Board and other Committees and groups where appropriate.

With a good standard of education, you should have experience of working in a research or policy-oriented or a regulated environment, ideally in a health or education related area and have a proven ability to work collaboratively.

You should have an awareness of the principles of effective project management, risk mitigation, risk management and governance, and be able to oversee and/or manage committees.

Your excellent research and written skills and ability to develop ideas into workable projects will ensure you are capable of producing data-based or guidance-based reports. You should also have outstanding interpersonal skills and be able to present information, verbally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner, with excellent attention to detail.

With excellent communication, organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills you will be capable of supporting committees and other governance structures, particularly supporting the delivery of new processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Experience of working with healthcare professionals or children’s services personnel, along with experience in qualitative data analysis and facilitating focus groups, would be desirable.

Shine’s Health Team 

Shine’s Health Team provides condition-specific health advice and support to people of all ages with spina bifida, hydrocephalus, NPH or IIH, promoting good self-management and enabling our members to live in optimum health.  The Team also aims to reduce the numbers of pregnancies affected by spina bifida and anencephaly through education around supplementation and fortification with folic acid, and other measures. 

Purpose of Job 

The Shine Nurse Specialist will deliver services and create resources to improve the health of Shine’s members, by informing members, their carers and professionals 

Principal Duties 

• To provide ad hoc advice to Shine’s members, their carers  and professionals on complex health issues, and signpost to NHS services 

• To attend and represent Shine at the Chelsea & Westminster Spina Bifida Clinic (for permanent role)

• To collect information, statistics and research from a variety of sources to inform Shine’s health projects 

• To create resources to inform and support members’ health 

• To develop training/information resources for professionals 

• To plan and deliver projects, events, presentations and information sessions for members and professionals 

• To provide an information resource for Shine staff 

• To form and engage with networks of health professionals 

• To represent Shine at events and meetings 

• To work closely with the Health Research & Information Coordinator to produce and disseminate health information to Shine members and the general public 

Skills and Experience

This is a central and valued role in our Senior Leadership Team. • Developing and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies for on-air and digital broadcasts.  
• Collaborating with production teams to create compelling on-air content.  
• Managing and cultivating relationships with existing and potential donors.  
• Analysing fundraising performance data and optimising results.  
• Overseeing the development of on-air fundraising scripts and materials.  
• Ensuring all fundraising is in line with our charitable aims, fundraising approach and missional pillars (Souls, Israel, Revival).

Key Tasks

• Lead and deliver projects as part of a high-quality programme of support and development for the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector and Communities in Buckinghamshire. (See appendix)
• Lead on specialist knowledge areas, including supporting the leadership team to develop strategies, policies and procedures, and advising/training VCSE organisations on the subject. (See appendix)
• Support the leadership team in the design, development and planning of the programme.
• Develop volunteering roles and recruit, induct and supervise a team of volunteers and associates to support the programme.
• Develop and deliver outreach and engagement activity to community groups and local charities.
• Induct and train new staff and volunteers about your areas of responsibility.

Job Purpose

Carers Manchester Contact Point (CMCP) is the first point of contact for unpaid carers seeking information, advice and support to help them with their caring role.

The service delivers a free confidential helpline for carers weekdays (Monday – Friday, 10am – 4pm). These times are subject to change, based on the needs and requirements of carers using the service.

The aim of this role is to be part of a team providing a comprehensive information, advice and support to carers in Manchester. The post holder will work alongside colleagues from Gaddum and potentially other organisations to be the first contact in a busy service providing advice via a telephone advice line and managing referrals made through digital sources. They will provide information and advice and refer more complex issues to the appropriate agencies delivering the Manchester Carers Pathway.

Key responsibilities 

Advice giving

• Answering telephone calls into a central helpline offering support and guidance to unpaid carers in Manchester.
• Provide relevant and meaningful support and information to unpaid carers utilising internal and external resources.
• Inform carers about carers assessments and refer where necessary.
• Inform carers about emergency grants available and refer where necessary.
• Ensure all advice and support given is delivered in a timely manner to suit the needs of carers calling the helpline whilst balancing waiting callers.

Follow-up support

• Refer unpaid carers to local services to access local and culturally appropriate support in their area.
• Refer carers to Adult Social Care for Carers Assessments to discuss and improve their caring situation.
• Signpost carers to relevant services in Manchester suited to their individual need.
• Complete relevant grant applications for carers using the service where needed.
• Use Carers Manchester Contact Point and other reliable and accurate resources to find, interpret and communicate relevant information to carers
• Research and explore options and implications so that carers can make informed decisions.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Department/Service:

The finance department is responsible for the overall financial management and administration of the 4million turnover at GSU. The department plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, including HMRC, Charities Commission, Companies House, and pensions. This includes supporting our annual external financial audit.

The finance team act as Business Partners to the rest of the organisation ensuring they understand financial processes to aid effective working. The team also work alongside our external payroll provider and our external digital system provider to ensure smooth and effective working.

Job Purpose:

Provide a professional, accurate, and timely accounting service in respect to all management and statutory reporting. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external support services to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the Finance department, ensuring excellence in service delivery.

Reports to:

• Currently reporting to the CEO whilst the senior management role in the Finance Department is under review. The senior management post is currently vacant.

Responsible for:

• Supporting, managing, supervising, and developing one Finance Coordinator and one Finance Assistant.
• Temporary Interns and/or student staff supporting the Finance team as required

Duties and Key Responsibilities

1. Management and Statutory Reporting:

• Prepare accurate management accounts on a timely basis each month.
• Reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthly, including accruals and prepayments.
• Prepare and submit statutory reports, including VAT Returns, Companies House, and Charities Commission Annual Returns.
• Support the preparation of the annual accounts for the external financial audit and play an instrumental role during the audit process.
• Reconcile GSU bank accounts including PayPal online accounts weekly and monthly.
• Reconcile Commercial Income to Bank Accounts producing weekly sales and analysis reports.

2. Budgeting, Forecasting, and Cashflow Statements:

• Support in the preparation of the annual budget and reforecasts.
• Create forecast reports and statements as and when required.
• Produce monthly and annual cashflow and liquidity statements.

3. Business Partnering and Collaboration:

• Act as a business partner to all GSU staff members, providing financial insights and support to meet organisational goals.
• Work alongside external support services (e.g., payroll providers and digital finance systems) to ensure smooth operations and excellence in the Finance department.
• Collaborate with external auditors and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and effective financial management.

4. Managing and Supervisory Duties:

• Supervise and support the professional development of two GSU finance staff members.
• Foster a team culture that promotes accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
• Oversee the responsibilities of Finance Coordinator and Finance Administrator and ensure their tasks align with departmental goals.
• Supervise and support interns and student staff as appropriate.

5. Digital Systems and Processes:

• Maintain efficient digital finance systems and processes to streamline financial operations (Twinfield, Ezora & Basecone for example).
• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of digital records and reporting systems.
• Evaluate and improve digital tools and workflows to enhance departmental efficiency.

6. General Finance Department Duties:

• Oversee and assist with sales ledger, purchase ledger, and payroll functions as needed.
• Support the Finance Coordinator and Finance Assistant to issue and maintain records of purchase orders and associated invoices.
• Support the Finance Coordinator and Finance Assistant to maintain and post all petty cash transactions.
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and information for the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), Trustee Board, and other stakeholders as required.
• Respond proactively to financial queries from GSU staff.
• Support the ongoing review and development of Finance department systems and procedures.
• Maintain customer-facing systems and ensure smooth operations for Finance department stakeholders.

7. External Audit and Compliance:

• Prepare schedules and reconciliations for the annual audit.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including HMRC and Charities Commission guidelines.
