The role
Reporting to the Events and Community Fundraising Manager, you will play a crucial role as part of the Fundraising Team by providing the highest levels of fundraising and event administration support to ensure the provision of seamless, excellent supporter care and assistance to our supporters.
Whilst this role is primarily providing administrative support for our fundraising and event activities, there will be opportunities to be involved with all other aspects of the charity.
The successful candidate will need to be a good team player, able to work independently, flexible, hardworking and prepared to play an enthusiastic role in helping to deliver excellent supporter care and increased fundraising income. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Responsibilities
In this position, you will:
· Be the primary contact point with our supporters and fundraisers to provide excellent customer care
· Answer general public and supporter enquiries that come in by telephone, email and mail in a way that makes them feel important and valued regardless of the nature of their enquiry
· Ensure all fundraising income (cash, cheques online platform donations) is processed and recorded correctly onto the Donorfy database, and thanked in a timely manner
· Record as necessary enquiries, correspondence and responses on Donorfy
· Be the primary point of contact for our challenge events and community fundraisers. Build excellent relationships with them and provide materials and support, liaising before, during and following their activity/event as needed
· To work with the team to provide support for key fundraising activities such as the London Marathon and other challenge events. This will include assisting with event administration, answering telephone calls, responding to emails, thanking participants, processing donations, sending materials to participants and updating records on Donorfy
· Monitor our general email inboxes and respond to all enquiries in a timely manner
· Monitor Social Media and assist with providing content and responding to any enquires that come through these mediums
· Be responsible for ensuring stock control is monitored, both at the office and at our fulfilment house
· Appeal support: this may include contributing to content and will include monitoring schedules and deadlines

In this period of a new government, we have an ambitious programme of events planned under our Political Leadership theme and we are recruiting an events assistant to join us for one year to support the additional work anticipated, as well as assist on Green Alliance’s other core events. The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) is a Society of over 1,700 members from 100 countries, who work in, or are interested in tropical medicine and global health.
RSTMH organises and participates in events as a crucial way of showcasing, discussing, and debating key areas of tropical medicine and global health research and practice. Our range of events are wide. We deliver conferences and webinars, social events, research meetings for early career professionals, and high-profile debates and discussions. They happen across the UK and around the world, both online and in person. Our events add to the impact of our work in tropical medicine and global health, but also raise funds to allow us to continue our work as a charity.
The Meetings and Events Manager would lead on the delivery of the RSTMH meeting and events strategy. The role requires a self-starter who is excited by the prospect of working on such a broad range of meetings and events. The candidate needs to have excellent communication and relationship building skills, and to be organised, flexible with a great attention to detail. They should be comfortable liaising with venues for meetings space, developing budgets for events, managing logistical aspects of the events programme and setting up new events online and in person.

- Manage the procurement of uniforms, equipment, printed materials and other materials for PCE staff and volunteers, liaising with suppliers to ensure quality items within budget.
- Create and distribute weekly and monthly reports using data from our CRM system
- Assist the Central Prevention & Community Engagement Manager in development of relevant systems, assisting with comms and training for colleagues where necessary. Support the department in delivering the highest standards of advice and training across a range of audiences.
- Monitor and respond to queries from the public that come through the website, email or customer support centre, signposting to other team members in PCE where required.

Within the Dogs Trust Operations directorate sits the Prevention and Community Engagement (PCE) Department. This role supports the Executive Director of Breathe Cities. As the Executive Assistant (EA), working alongside the Senior Executive Assistant and Support Manager, and CEO Office team, this role ensures the Director and their teams are supported to work efficiently and effectively and that team projects are facilitated to run smoothly. It’s a role at the heart of a fast-moving organisation and offers an opportunity for hands-on work on projects combatting air pollution. Would you like to work in a fast-paced environment, where you work closely with team members and are responsible for maintaining the general upkeep of our College?
We are looking for someone who is proactive and will take pride in the look and feel of the property – ensuring the standard is great for our staff and members. Ideally with some experience of maintenance or facilities with a proactive approach to solving and taking ownership of problems. A relevant trade would give you the edge but is not essential.
You will be taking responsibility for ensuring that the College is exceptionally well-maintained, well-presented and functional. Duties include ensuring that health and safety standards are met, first line reactive repairs and maintenance is addressed, minor redecoration and accompanying contractors where necessary, and conducting daily building checks. Events roles include ensuring that meeting spaces are set up ready for the day’s events, as well as being present for some events that are out of working hours.
