We are seeking an established fundraiser with experience of raising funds from trusts and foundations and is looking to take the next step in their career. Working in a supportive and well-established charity, you will have the autonomy and agency to lead in developing innovative new funding asks working closely with senior colleagues. You will manage, maintain and enhance relationships with existing partners and identify, approach and win the support of new supporters to expand our work. Through working collaboratively across the charity and producing high quality reports to our funders, you will see the tangible impact of your work on the lives of the Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities supported by the projects you have secured funding for.

It’s a great time to join our team as we grow and diversify our income so that we can continue to expand the crucial work of the Foundation. You will work closely with the SMT to identify and research prospects, develop compelling applications, and manage funding streams. You will play a key role in building an effective Trust and Foundation Fundraising function, establishing effective ways of working across the charity and building positive, engaging, long-term relationships with funders.

The ideal candidate will be committed to tackling racism and reducing inequalities, you will be driven and ambitious, with experience across a range of fundraising methods but must have significant experience in developing Trust and Foundation relationships and evidence of securing 5 and 6 figure partnerships or grants.

Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities

This is an excellent opportunity to take on an exciting role within the Humanitarian Team of the Programme & Policy Department/Programme Management Team.

We are looking for someone with a good understanding of policies and practices managing projects with the FCDO and DEC. A good grasp of programme and financial management combined with an ability to provide distance support to Country Offices and partners.

The Humanitarian Programme Manager is responsible for the overall management for a portfolio of programmes across the programme management lifecycle from the contracting stage to close out. The successful candidate leads the relationship with donors, working with country offices and technical teams to ensure programmes are delivered in line with CARE International strategies and procedures, and in compliance with donor requirements. Specific areas of responsibilities include programme quality, accountability, relationship management, impact reporting and knowledge management, compliance and risk management. In addition, he/she will be an effective team member and committed to tackling discrimination and structural inequality and promoting CARE International’s Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and Child Protection policy with team members and in day-to-day practice.

About you

The team is looking for a talented individual to support our portfolio projects through excellent contract and finance management.  You will have knowledge of donor compliance and donor reporting and will provide integrated programme delivery, contract, and compliance expertise throughout the project cycle: from implementation plan set up to reporting and close out. You will have experience with managing multiple stakeholders across a single project. Ability to work in French or Arabic, as well as some overseas experience in a development context, would also be highly desirable.

As a Social Welfare & Digital Support Adviser, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive advice, casework support, and digital support to the residents of Tower Hamlets. As a dedicated and empathetic Social Welfare Advice & Digital Support Adviser, your role will be essential in empowering individuals with complex and multiple needs, helping them navigate the intricacies of the welfare benefits system and access the financial support they deserve. Additionally, you will provide vital digital support to enable clients to manage their welfare claims online, enhancing their digital confidence and independence. Through a holistic approach that incorporates social, cultural, financial, and digital issues, you will address the diverse needs of our clients, ensuring they receive well-rounded support and are equipped to navigate the online systems essential to managing their welfare benefits.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Holistic Client Assessment and Support - Conduct detailed, confidential interviews with clients, applying a holistic approach to assess their needs for advice and support, including digital needs.
• Comprehensive Needs Assessment - Assess various aspects such as financial situation, social welfare entitlements, debt, digital literacy, and other significant issues affecting clients and their families.
• Digital Support - Provide guidance to clients in accessing and managing welfare benefit claims online. This includes assisting clients with online Universal Credit applications, managing online accounts, and building their digital skills for greater self-sufficiency.
• Advice and Casework - Provide high-quality advice and casework support on all social welfare benefits such as Universal Credit (UC), Disability Living Allowance (DLA), Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Attendance Allowance (AA), Council Tax Reduction (CTR), Discretionary Housing Payments (DHP), Carer's Allowance (CA), Housing Benefits (HB), legacy benefits and travel-related services such as blue badge/freedom passes, unemployment benefits, and other welfare benefits. This includes offering digital assistance where needed.
• Application Assistance - Assist clients in completing application forms, mandatory reconsideration, appeals, and other paperwork related to social welfare benefits, money and debt, funding, and grants, both in person and online.
• Tailored Client Support - Ensure that services are adapted to the needs of each client, considering communication, digital abilities, understanding, and vulnerabilities, while supporting their navigation through online platforms.
• Financial Advice & Support - Provide advice on income maximisation, debt management, budgeting, savings, and accessing financial support, empowering clients to achieve financial independence, including offering digital tools to help manage finances.
• Client Involvement - Through clear communication and consultation, ensure clients are involved in resolving their social welfare issues, including welfare benefits, debt, and money management, and are kept informed on the progress of their case, particularly regarding digital aspects.
• Digital Training and Confidence Building - Assist clients in developing digital skills to independently manage online claim forms, journals, and accounts, ensuring they are well-equipped to navigate online welfare systems.
• Compliance and Quality Standards - Provide advice and casework support that adheres to the Advice Quality Standard (AQS) and digital best practices.
• Digital support and Case Management - Use the Lamplight database system to organise and manage client support, including digital support case recording and compliance with LHP’s case management procedures.
• Monitoring and Evaluation - Contribute to project monitoring and evaluation by providing data on digital support & financial outcomes and also producing evaluative reports for the Advice Services Manager, focusing on digital engagement and success.
• File and Data Management - Maintain accurate digital records of client interactions and stay updated on social welfare policies, regulations, and digital support systems.
• Community Engagement and Partnerships - Liaise with local authorities, health services, and community organisations to support clients, including digital outreach and awareness-raising activities.
• To liaise with other agencies and develop strong working relationships to support clients effectively, including partnerships with GP surgeries.

· Deliver advice sessions at the LHP office, GP surgeries, and other outreach venues, raising awareness of available support services.

· Participate in borough-wide forums and activities to develop relationships with other organisations and enhance community awareness.

• Client Relations and Safeguarding - Build trustful relationships with clients, ensuring safeguarding and digital support considerations are fully met.

3. Attend Limehouse Project staff meetings regularly.

4. Carry out such other duties, as the LHP manager and management committee shall from time to time require.

About the role

We’re looking for a self-motivated and driven public health, inclusion and awareness manager. This is an exciting time to join Breast Cancer Now and the public health, inclusion and awareness team as we continue to grow as a charity and our work across the UK. Your role will continue to help drive forward our team’s work, which is to empower patients and the public to play a full role in managing their own risk of getting breast cancer, diagnosing breast cancer earlier and improving their quality of life after a breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. Thereby reducing the risk of recurrence.

You’ll be responsible for managing and expanding the development and implementation of behaviour change programmes across the UK. This includes growing our public health talk programme for external organisations and specific partners.

You’ll work closely with the associate director, public health, inclusion and awareness to deliver public health activities as identified in our strategy and team plans and work across the wider directorate and organisation.

About you

You’ll be a self-starter with proven experience of developing and delivering public health and inclusion initiatives, campaigns, behaviour change projects and programmes. This includes community based and digital interventions. You’ll have strong experience in people and volunteer management.

A confident communicator, you’ll have experience of developing and delivering training programmes or public health activities in a community setting to diverse audiences. You’ll be able to develop and maintain positive relationships at a local level with external organisations and groups including those from under-represented communities. You’ll also have experience of managing and supporting volunteers.

Highly organised, you’ll have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. Someone who can demonstrate initiative, undertake projects independently and see projects through to completion, including both the management and evaluation of projects.

The role:

The Senior Grants Manager will have at least 5 years' experience in grant management, preferably in a philanthropic or not-for-profit organisation, or experience of grant-making, carrying out grant assessments and grant reports. The successful candidate will have a strong level of analytical skills, strong experience of working with a grant management database (The Bloom Foundation uses Blackbaud) and an interest in learning from grant making to inform future practice. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely and the ability to think strategically. You will have good relationship building skills and a high level of diplomacy and able to deliver in a fast-paced environment. You will be proficient in office software packages, including MS Office and Excel and confident working accurately with figures.

The role is based in a modern, vibrant office in Camden on the canal. You will initially work 4 days a week in the office with 1 day from home. Following a successful probation period, your working pattern will be a minimum of 3 days in the office with 2 days from home. There will be some evening events, and some travel involved nationally to visit grantees. The role

The International Programme Manager is responsible for the effective management, coordination and delivery of an ambitious new multi-year programme, Local First: Transforming the Peacebuilding System. This programme will support and strengthen the ecosystem of local actors working for sustainable peace in Afghanistan, Mali, Sudan and eastern DRC, and advocate for increased resourcing and acknowledgement of locally-led peacebuilding.

The Role

Administrative support for meetings 

• Provide administrative support for the Safeguarding Leadership Team.

The Immigration Adviser at LAH will provide advice and assistance on basic visa and immigration matters, including handling straightforward cases, often referred to as "initial advice" or "entry-level advice."
