Right now, we’re looking for a self-motivated individual to join us at our Adult and Young Peoples Drug & Alcohol service in Birmingham.  

Your challenge? To provide advice, assessment and brief interventions, group programmes, workshops and training courses to young people and professionals. Practitioners are expected to work not only from Aquarius offices but also in primary care, hospital, school, university, youth settings and other outreach settings as required by the service specification.

An energetic and confident self-starter, you have a qualification in health/social care, youth and community care (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies).  Alternatively, we’ll consider candidates with experience of working in the substance misuse field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care. As well as good knowledge of alcohol/drug and health related issues, you're used to liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals and comfortable engaging with clients in a variety of service delivery settings. What’s more, you have a flexible approach, a commitment to the principles of confidentiality and the ability to write client records and report and fulfil data requirements.

This full-time role requires the post-holder to work 37 hours a week.

As this role requires travel to a variety of settings within the community, a driving licence and access to a car is desirable.

The Role

We are recruiting for a Mental Health Care Navigator, which is a brand-new role and a unique opportunity to shape change via the Community Mental Health programme. The main duties will include:

The Person

We are looking for an empathetic, open minded and committed person to provide a person-centred approach and support people with mental health issues. In this role you will require excellent listening and communication skills and be both resilient and able to work well under pressure. You must also be proactive and have the ability to develop key relationships with an array of organisations in the local community.

Experience of working in a similar role would be advantageous, however we are also keen to speak to candidates who have experience of supporting people with their mental health in a voluntary capacity.

EduSpots is an innovative, dynamic, and community-driven UK and Ghanaian registered charity which connects, trains, and equips voluntary community educators to drive community-led change through education spaces named ‘Spots’. About this role

Following the significant development of EduSpots’ income and activities in the last year, we are looking for an experienced finance and operations professional to provide exceptional support to the Chief Executive Officer, Head of Development, and Head of Operations (Ghana-based) to ensure the development of robust financial and operational systems, policies and processes. 

The candidate can work from any location, but will have a strong knowledge of UK law and charity accounting in an international development charity context. You will be a self-starter, able to work independently on tasks assigned, whilst proactively suggesting improvements to our systems, policies and wider strategic development. 

We are looking for a team player with a genuine desire to contribute to greater educational equity, with a strong personal alignment to our organizational values of teamwork, care, play, passion, community leadership and sustainable impact. 

Main duties and responsibilities 

• Work with the UK Finance Officer (volunteer) and Ghana based Finance Manager and Head of Operations to oversee global finances, so that consolidated management accounts and donor financial reports can be produced.
• Support with the roll-out of new accounting software and reviewing intercompany financial processes to ensure accountability and compliance with recognised accounting standards.
• Support with bank account management and reviewing funds transfers.
• In future, possibly manage staff payroll, including tax and pension contributions.
• Oversee the onboarding and screening of new staff, contractors or volunteers in the UK and other locations outside Ghana, including reference checks, criminal records checks, preparing contracts, etc.
• Review and keep organisational policies and procedures (including staff handbook) up to date, staying abreast of any changes in the wider external legal and operating environment. 
• Monitor compliance to organizational policies and escalate compliance and operational risks to the CEO. 
• Monitor and renew insurance cover.
• Support with other tasks related to finance and operations as time permits.

About the role

As an Intensive Case Management Worker, you will work in a psychologically informed way to establish open, trusting and high-quality professional relationships with members. You will work with members who are experiencing homelessness and facing multiple and complex needs, including but not exclusively, mental and physical health needs, substance use difficulties, multiple exclusion and social isolation. You will ensure that each member you work with has a thoughtful and detailed assessment of their needs and strengths and that they are supported with a clear plan to end their homelessness. You will hold a holistic view of a member’s journey with us as part of our ‘one worker, one member’ lead working approach.

You will have experience of providing flexible, person-centred support to people. This full time, homebased position covering London & the East of England focusing on our key areas in Barnet and Luton. Podium Analytics is a charity that was established in 2019 to create a world with more sport, less injury.

We were founded with the belief that, to see the full benefit of sports participation, more needs to be done to address the issue of youth and grassroots sport injury, which is an under-researched, under-resourced and often overlooked issue.  Harnessing the power of data and research, and through education, influence and advocacy, we are creating a revolution in grassroots and youth sport, making players safer and more able to enjoy the sports they love for longer.

Our work so far has been underpinned by the generosity of our Founder and key major donors and private trusts, who believe in our unique position in the sporting world and ability to drive change.  In order for us to achieve our mission and the long term impact that we are striving for, we need to build out and diversify our income base.  This has led us to investing in this new Director of Fundraising role, and we are seeking an experienced leader to join us and help shape the next stage of our evolution.

 Main Purpose of the Role

Momentum Children’s Charity’s fundraising team is highly ambitious, driven by our goal to help families of seriously ill children in London, Surrey and Sussex to keep moving forward. Corporate income currently comprises circa 18% of the overall income. But with our expansion in hospital partnership geography, and aspiration to provide support to more families in the future, the expansion of this income stream will be key to this growth.

Working with the Corporate Partnerships Lead, this person will enjoy helping to develop all facets of the corporate fundraising area, working with and forging relationships with businesses to develop opportunities, fundraising and charitable giving, provide outstanding stewardship and relationship management, as well as helping to research and grow a healthy, robust pipeline of new opportunities.

To be successful you will have experience of working in a charity and ready to take the next step in your fundraising career. You will be self-motivated, collaborative, with strong organisational skills and an ability to set priorities and meet deadlines. Main Areas of Responsibility

• Work with the Corporate Lead to maximise current and new income, to ensure delivery of the annual target

• Generate, develop, and implement ideas and opportunities to maximise partnerships for the benefit of the entire organisation, including fundraising, pro bono support, volunteering, and gifts in kind

Essential

• Knowledge or experience of working in a charity

Purpose of the job/About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Challenge Events Team at Dementia UK, where you will help coordinate the programme of supporter-led (or ‘DIY’) challenge event activities, driving both participation and income for the organisation.

As the Challenge Events Executive, you will leverage your knowledge and insight to identify new partnerships and opportunities. You will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing plans that increase participant numbers and creating stewardship journeys that ensure excellent supporter experiences and maximise income. Additionally, you will be responsible for stewarding the ‘DIY’ challenge event supporters and will work to provide automated stewardship suitable for the masses as well as bespoke stewardship to the high value supporters.

To be successful in the site role, you will have experience of coordinating fundraising events or campaigns. You should possess hands-on experience utilising relationship databases, coupled with an understanding of effective marketing channels, particularly digital. Additionally, expertise in stewardship techniques will be crucial for increasing remittance rates and maximising average gifts. You should also have an understanding of how to use insights, data and market trends to identify opportunities and make recommendations.
