About the role:
Bankside Open Spaces Trust is looking to recruit a dynamic and organised Centre Manager with a passion for community and young people to lead and manage our operations, drive engagement, and foster a sense of belonging within the community. This is an exciting and varied role working with an award winning environmental and community charity in Central London.

Role Overview: 

This role is based at our Living Space Community Centre in Waterloo, SE1, which is a vibrant and inclusive centre dedicated to promoting free to access youth activities, it has 2 halls for hire and 5 small non-profit business offices upstairs. The Community Centre Manager will proactively take the lead working with staff, stakeholders, partners, hirers and the local community raising awareness of BOST’s work, animating the centre, ensuring its sustainability.
You will be responsible for various aspects of facilities management, health and safety, planning and delivering projects within the centre, managing a small team, financial management and planning.

Excellent communication skills are required in both written and verbal communication with a friendly and welcoming manner. You will need to be flexible in your working approach, working both independently and as part of a team to deliver the aims of the charity. This will include working evenings and occasional weekends.

Bankside Open Spaces Trust is an environmental and volunteering charity. We were launched in 2000 by a group of local people with an aim to improve the SE1 area, making it a greener, more beautiful place to live and work.

We manage and maintain open spaces, welcome volunteers from both the community and the corporate sector, run regular gardening groups, support park steering groups, organise and take part in public events and educational projects, and offer advice to others. We collaborate closely with local residents and businesses to champion green spaces.

Thousands of people enjoy our open spaces every day. Each of our sites is unique, with its own atmosphere, identity and sense of place. Our spaces include Red Cross Garden, Marlborough Sports Garden, Waterloo Millennium Green and Tate Community Garden. The Operations and Data Manager will be responsible for all donor analytics, prospect research, team coordination, and will be a critical partner to the Fundraising team. This role focuses on providing the essential data analysis and prospect research to continue building our major donor pipeline and base. It supports the fundraising team to effectively manage donor portfolios and the allocation of resources, whilst creating workflows to illuminate insights into fundraising progress, and additional systems-related projects.

Who You Are

• Process Architect: You love creating systems and managing databases. You design and optimise fundraising workflows, from donor inquiries to gift processing, to maximise efficiency and productivity.

• Data Steward: You are the guardian of donor data, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records to inform strategic decision-making

• Technology Advocate: You have a good understanding of up to date software and tech to help you streamline operations, enhance donor experience, and generate valuable data insights.

• Team Collaborator: You love working across portfolios and internal functions. You will work closely with all members of the fundraising team to provide operational support and achieve fundraising goals.

• Pro-Active Critical Thinker: You find gaps in ways of working and create quick solutions before others even notice.

Roles and Responsibilities

Donor Analytics & Moves Management (40%)

• Regularly review and update donor portfolios based on departmental criteria, donor behaviour, and portfolio criteria

• Manage incoming donor portfolio requests

• Collaboratively develop, launch, and administer a moves management process in line with Mission 44’s CRM that provides insights on movement of donors through the donor lifecycle; delivers qualitative and quantitative data on individual fundraiser activity; and other related reports

• Create reports / dashboards to inform the team and board on donor retention and attrition rates compared to industry standards.

• Maintain highly accurate and current donor data that effectively tracks key information, cultivation activities and histories, and solicitation and reporting calendars

• Prepare monthly and quarterly revenue reports, weekly giving reports, and various financial and fundraising dashboard reports for the Finance Committee and Board of Directors

• Work with fellow team members to facilitate regular (quarterly or monthly) lapsed donor reporting to provide team with actionable leads

• Regularly (quarterly) report on progress to goals and metrics, and overall fundraising activities to produce key insights and observe trends

• Oversee and manage guidelines and practice of the import and export of activities related to donor engagement (e.g. events and missions)

• Create templates and systems that make the fundraising team more efficient in their cultivation and stewardship

Donation & Data Management (20%)

• Process all gifts and ensure timely tax acknowledgment letters are sent to donors (within 48 hours of receipt of gift)

• Reconcile gifts with the Finance Department and support with the annual audit

• Generate various mailing lists for the Development Department

• Manage pledge payment tracking and reminders and follow-up processes for multi-year donors/gifts.

• Oversee and create donation/solicitation coding and prepare backup gift documentation

• Ensure all data entry is accurate and regularly checked for errors to maintain data integrity

Team Coordination and Administration (20%)

• Working closely with the Chief Growth Officer and Head of Fundraising, support the administrative planning and delivery of team strategy days, away days and other key internal meetings, including meetings with Mission 44’s wider ecosystem.

• Ad hoc support for annual events

• Create templates for emails and pitches to support donor cultivation

• Provide administrative support to the Fundraising Team, including calendar management, scheduling meetings, and travel arrangements.

Prospect & Donor Research (20%)

• Perform regular wealth screenings of entire donor base to maintain accurate and updated prospect data

• Develop and operate a process that proactively researches donors and prospects with ultra-high net worth to create a bench of qualified prospects

• Conduct donor and prospect research and analysis based on requests from the team and SLT, or before events and cultivation meetings

• Create data-informed prospect lists and profiles for major prospects and analysis to help fine-tune donor cultivation and relationships.

• Continually monitor industry standards and trends on prospect research practices to ensure practices remain ahead of the curve

• Manage relationships and contracts with CRM and donor/prospect research vendors and/or external contractors, regularly assessing new products and technologies

About the Role

The Learning, Development, and Wellbeing Officer supports the Associate Director of Learning, Development, and Wellbeing in administering and organizing training programs and wellbeing initiatives. Location: London Support Office (hybrid working) or where any MSI country programme operates.

Part-time: 7 hours (1 day equivalent per week). These hours have the potential to increase to 14 hours (2 days equivalent per week) in 2025 (budget dependant).

Contract type: Permanent

Salary: £29,200 per annum full time equivalent, this will be pro rated for 1 day per week. Discretionary bonus + benefits. The advertised salary is for UK based candidates, for all other locations, the salary will be banded within the national context.

Salary band: BG 6

Our Someone Like Me peer support service ensures nobody has to face breast cancer alone. We match people affected by breast cancer with a trained volunteer who’s had a similar experience and can offer support by telephone or email.

Within this new role you’ll contribute to service delivery through sensitively and efficiently arranging Someone Like Me calls, whilst working with the Services Manager, Someone Like Me to coordinate day-to-day management of the service. This will include managing a small number of staff members. You’ll also contribute by organising the recruitment, training, and support of volunteers involved in the delivery of the service.

About you

You’ll be passionate about supporting people affected by breast cancer and helping us to improve the support we provide.

You’ll combine excellent organisational, prioritising and communication skills with the ability to work well with people who may be experiencing high levels of distress. You’ll also have experience of managing staff or volunteers, be supportive but yet motivated to helping us achieve our aims of supporting people with breast cancer.

About The Role
 
Location: Home based with the ability to travel across London 

We are currently looking for a Local Services Manager to lead Dementia Support services in North London. We currently have a number of established services in the area, but with the potential for expansion.  This would suit an experienced leader from a Health and Social Care background with a particular skill in developing external networks and partnerships, especially with underserved communities.

As a Local Services Manager you will provide leadership and management to local service teams, holding responsibility for the management and delivery of specific contracts and services, while supporting the Regional Manager to deliver the Alzheimer’s Society’s Help & Hope strategy. 

You will lead the local delivery of services across a designated area, ensuring that those services are of high quality, person centred, safe and that people affected by dementia are at the heart of all service delivery. The direct line management responsibility for Dementia Advisors and other posts who provide support and guidance to people with dementia using a person-centred approach will lie with the successful individual. 

The Local Services Manager will report directly to the Regional Manager and will be a member of the London management team. There will be a requirement for travel across the designated area with expenses paid in accordance with our expenses policy. Our people are our greatest asset, and it is only through our people that we will achieve our strategy, therefore we are looking for an inspirational Leader who will truly role model our organisational values.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will be a systems leader, influencing, networking, and collaborating with our partner organisations. 

As a Local Services Manager you will;

- Demonstrate the ability to build and nurture relationships with stakeholders to ensure that the lived experience of people with dementia is shared widely so that it can influence decision making, service quality and delivery, in line with our strategic priorities. 
- Possess knowledge of key roles in the Health & Social Care sector and is confident in managing relationships within this sector, to ensure we are the go-to organisation for all things dementia related.
- Have previous experience as a people manager having led teams to deliver high performance outcomes and work collaboratively to provide an excellent service. 
- Role models our values in all they do, who can work effectively with internal teams to achieve mutual outcomes. 
- Be someone who can work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Have a positive and proactive attitude to challenging situations and problem solving, using a collaborative and engaging approach with your team.

· Oversee the Trust pipeline process and that we comply with all trust reporting arrangements

The Charity

James’ Place exists to stop men dying by suicide. We opened our first centre in 2018 in Liverpool, the first of its kind in the UK, in 2022 we launched our second centre in London, and this year we opened our third centre in Newcastle. To date, we have supported over 1500 men and delivered over 7000 sessions of our life-saving intervention. James’ Place is a therapy centre for men who are experiencing a suicidal crisis, and it was set up to make the experience of finding help as easy as possible. It offers men a brief, intensive, therapeutic intervention in a safe environment. Men who walk through the door at James’ Place will be in a space where they feel valued and respected.   

Building on the success of our centres in Liverpool, London, and Newcastle, we are now expanding our model to reach more men in suicidal crisis. Our aim is to have five centres open across England by 2026.

Job Description

We are seeking to recruit a Trusts and Statutory Fundraising Manager to work with the Head of Fundraising and Communications to deliver our expansion appeal and fundraising strategy.

You will have overall responsibility for building relationships with and securing income from Trusts and Statutory sources and ensuring the highest levels of stewardship to grow and maintain relationships.

With a highly organised approach and an eye for detail you will be able to turn complex information into compelling, authentic stories that effectively articulates our mission and objectives in an engaging and passionate way.

This appointment is part of our growth as a charity and you will be joining an experienced, supportive and committed team.

This a hybrid role with a requirement to be on site at one of our centres 60% of the time, and you will need to be able travel to other sites for events and meetings.

Responsibilities include:

Operations

• Responsible for ensuring systems and processes are fit for purpose and utilised correctly across the organisation

• Responsible for accurately recording data and updating in Salesforce CRM; all class, programme and event information 

• Responsible for accurately recording in-kind donations on Salesforce for the cookery school programmes and events

• Coordinate administration using Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Forms,  Zoom, Eventbrite and Salesforce

• Responsible for collate online survey forms: inputting data from evaluation forms where required

Programmes Coordination

• Proactively support the development, improvement and implementation of effective administrative systems to support the smooth running of class, programme and event delivery at Made In Hackney

• Responsible for updating MIH website with all relevant class content; including class listings and formatting and printing recipes

• Be responsible for keeping accurate attendance records for reporting and funding purposes 

General Administration

• Providing administrative support to the MIH team as required
