As the Associate Director of People Planning, you will take a central role in establishing our approach to and enabling the delivery of the transformation of our people systems, processes and practices, translating our vision and strategy into action.  Using your expertise in planning and change management, you’ll create the foundations for the People directorate to deliver. You will take a lead on the programme management of our People agenda, bringing structure to our approach, and creating lasting frameworks that easily transfer to business as usual in 2 years' time.  
 
Introducing multi-year planning and budgeting and establishing strategic workforce planning are initial priorities, allowing us to build skills for the future and increase the diversity of our workforce to reflect the communities we seek to support.  As Associate Director for People Planning you will also ensure we optimise investment in technology, improving effectiveness and enabling a one stop digital experience, and easy access to real time people insights.  
 
As a member of the People Leadership Team, you will work collaboratively across the People Directorate, contributing to the People strategy, and role modelling high engagement change, to create an inclusive and high-performance culture. You will also have a collective corporate accountability as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, being a trusted advisor and agent of change for the Society overall.  Working across the organisation, you will lead, plan and drive the successful implementation of our People programmes.
 
This is a homeworking role, but you may be required to travel to attend meetings, events and team-days, so you must reside in the UK, have the correct right to work documents to work in the UK and be comfortable/willing to travel to our offices (London or Birmingham) if/when required.

A great opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Management Accountant at Asthma + Lung UK on a permanent basis. This role sits within our Finance Business Partnering team, who are responsible for timely and accurate financial reporting to stakeholders.

Asthma + Lung UK is the only charity in the UK fighting for everyone with a lung condition, aiming for a world where everyone can breathe with healthy lungs. We fund cutting-edge research, provide advice and support for the 12 million people who will get a lung condition during their lifetime. We also campaign for clean air and for better NHS diagnosis and treatment.

You will report directly to the Head of Finance Business Partnering, and work across five Directorates, where you will be responsible for updating and issuing monthly management accounts, which include: posting journals, including identifying and correcting mis postings. Having close collaboration with the Finance Business Partners, you will assist them during month end reporting, reforecasting, annual budget setting and year end audit.  The role also has regular interaction with colleagues across all levels of the organisation, including non-finance specialists.

To be successful in this role, you will have previously worked in a complex financial environment that adheres to strict deadlines. You will have an understanding of general ledger, CRM systems, P2P systems and coding structures. You will also be intuitive and have the ability to think outside the box with strong business acumen and attention to detail. This role is open to candidates who wish to study towards a professional accountancy qualification.

Black Thrive Global (BTG) evolved from the work of the Black Thrive Lambeth Partnership, which was established in 2016. We exist to address the inequalities that negatively impact the mental health and wellbeing of Black people so that the thriving of Black communities is the norm.

Purpose of the role

As the Executive Assistant to the CEO, you will hold a pivotal position within our team, providing essential support to the CEO. Your primary purpose is to offer high-level strategic assistance, allowing our senior leaders to concentrate fully on steering the organisation towards its mission and vision. In this role, you will embody  proactive problem-solving, strategic thinking, and effective communication. Additionally, you will play a vital role in supporting strategic research where applicable, facilitating project management, and promoting effective stakeholder communication. Your responsibilities will encompass maintaining organised data and documents, including the development and maintenance of action logs, and aiding in developing presentations and materials for internal and external use. As the bridge between leadership and operational aspects, your adaptability, attention to detail, and practical communication skills will ensure the seamless execution of our mission. Your active involvement will be instrumental in the success of Black Thrive as we work diligently to reduce mental health disparities within Black communities and drive lasting change.

Duties and responsibilities

1. Actively support the CEO with day-to-day administrative support including proactive diary management, assembling and preparing papers required by the CEO to attend meetings, prepare reports, or reply to requests for information.

2. Co-ordinate and organise meetings including board of directors' meetings, conferences, both in person and virtually. Prepare meeting agendas, minute taking and maintaining action logs.

3. Actively collaborate with the CEO and senior leadership to create engaging presentations and materials for internal and external meetings, ensuring content is well-structured and visually appealing.

4. Actively organise and maintain critical data, documents, and records, implementing a structured filing system for easy access and retrieval.

5. Researches, prioritises, and follows up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the CEO including those of a sensitive or confidential nature. Determine appropriate course of action, referral, or response.

6. Works closely and effectively with the CEO to keep him/her well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately. Acts as a "barometer," having a sense for the issues taking place in the environment and keeping the CEO updated.

7. Actively coordinate tasks and monitor progress for critical projects and initiatives, ensuring effective communication among team members and stakeholders.

8. Engage actively with key stakeholders, including partners, donors, and community members, to foster positive relationships and facilitate communication.

9. Support the CEO with preparation of a monthly CEO’s message and contributions to newsletters.

10. Liaise with Comms team to ensure and maintain a level of social media presence.

11. Actively participate in budget tracking, financial report preparation, and documentation for grant applications to support the Finance Officer.

12. Actively develop and maintain systems to streamline operational processes while ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.

In this capacity, the Head of Finance is responsible for monitoring and analysing multi-year income and cost commitments. Key responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Analysis

• Produce comprehensive financial reports for the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and trustees to facilitate effective decision-making. This includes detailed cost and income analysis on future commitments, analysis of unrestricted and restricted income.

▪ Ensure consolidated monthly management accounts are produced in a timely and accurate manner.

• Identifying Funding Gaps, analysing financial needs versus available funds and developing strategies to secure additional capital if necessary.

• Conduct regular financial performance reviews and provide insights for improvement.

▪ Co-ordinate the production quarterly finance narrative reports to support review by the Director of Finance & Operations.

▪ Supporting the fundraising teams in financial aspects of funding our work and meeting reporting requirements.

Annual financial statements

▪ Produce annual consolidated financial statements in compliance with UK SORP

▪ Ensure country teams complete their year-end process in compliance with local laws and regulations.

▪ Coordinating with external auditors to facilitate a smooth audit process. Budgeting and Forecasting

▪ Oversee financial planning process. Including budget setting and regular forecasts.

▪ Updating financial forecasts to reflect changes in the external environment and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

THE ROLE
The Grants and Trusts Fundraiser will inspire grant bodies, charitable trusts, and foundations to support our mission. This is a key role in growing our funding to achieve our ambitious 2030 strategy. As part of the Grants and Trusts team, you'll craft and submit high-quality funding bids and projects, working closely with colleagues, partner organisations, and funders. The role will lead collaborative project teams, to present compelling cases to maximise funding opportunities, ensuring projects meet organisational and funder criteria. 
Attending external meetings to foster relationships and develop partnership agreements is vital to the success of this role, as is staying updated on funding trends to identify new opportunities and maintain the Trust's reputation with top-notch bids and reporting.
This is a Hybrid working role, where you’ll work part of your time at home with time spent on site and project visits (once a month depending on the project). You will also be expected to attend a team/departmental meeting in Grantham each quarter.

You will have experience creating compelling propositions that lead to tangible outcomes, excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, and a proven ability to build partnership bids. Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines are essential, along with strong written and verbal communication skills. You will be self-motivated, able to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision, and ambitious in achieving results. Experience in project development and management, including budgets, and an understanding of impact evaluation and reporting are also necessary.

SHP (Single Homeless Project) is one of London’s leading homelessness prevention charities and a dynamic and growing organisation changing 10,000 lives every year across London - from supporting people in crisis, to helping them take the final steps towards independence and employment.

We are seeking experienced and highly motivated staff members for our Complex Needs Accommodation Service. The role will require you to work alongside the Regional Services Manager , to provide a high level of support to these clients at our Ashley Road and Milton House projects.

You will be in a specialist role designed to work with people with complex support needs relating to: mental ill health, physical health & substance use needs. You will also play a key part in reducing the risk of re-offending, liaising with external professionals, preventing homelessness and promoting the independence and social inclusion of these clients.

The working rota for this post is Monday - Friday. (no weekend shifts) and a mixture of earlies (8am - 3.30pm) & lates (3pm - 10.30pm)

About you:

• Previous experience of working with people with complex support needs.
• Ability to manage a caseload and deliver positive outcomes utilising your knowledge of the health, social care and criminal justice sector.   
• A flexible, innovative and creative approach to working with a sometimes hard to engage and challenging client group, is also required.

We are looking to appoint a Family Support Coordinator to support our care teams in delivering a high-quality family support service in the region, working with families and professionals to ensure the families we support have access to the services they need.

Role description:

You will be a key member of the fundraising team, supporting all areas to grow and maximise income.

You will be responsible for:

• Database management: Responsible for ensuring the charity’s CRM database is up to date;
• Ensuring the correct import of data from 3rd party sources.
• Working with the finance team to ensure that there is correct and timely reconciliation with financial records.
• Supporting the fundraising team with marketing campaigns, events, and data screening.
• Management of donation/service platforms: Responsible for ensuring that 3rd party platforms are kept up to date, on brand and used appropriately and effectively to support fundraising activity.

Main Responsibilities:

• Importing data in an efficient, timely and accurate manner will make a up a large aspect of the role.
• Provision of regular information to the fundraising team to drive activity, such as reports on new fundraising pages which have been set-up.
• Construction of tasks in the CRM which are assigned to other members of the team to enable stewardship via the correct fundraising team member.
• Regular reconciliation of large data sets, including marketing lists.
• Regular gift aid claim submissions to HMRC within established KPIs.
• Supporting the individual giving manager to identify and fulfil key touch points in the supporters’ journey to enable donations and assist in providing communications as the need arises.
• Lead on processing donations from mailing appeals.
• Work with the fundraising team to ensure data recording is kept up to date in a timely way
• Work with the Individual Giving Manager to put supporter journeys in place for Regular givers, legacy pledgers, in-memory supporters and appeal responders.
• Assist and support other members of the fundraising team e.g., sending out events/fundraising packs and ensuring all event participants are thanked within the scheduled time.
• Record communication preferences in compliance with GDPR.
• Carry out any other duties as may be reasonably required.

Person Specification:

Knowledge and experience:

• Experience of working in the charity sector.

The Role:

As the Head of Therapy Services you will manage our team of 17 therapists and lead the planning, resourcing, delivery and evaluation of our therapy services, ensuring provision of consistent and high-quality interventions. 

Key Responsibilities:

•Be responsible for the planning, resourcing, delivery and evaluation of clinical services

•Manage enquiries, referrals, waiting lists and case allocation to therapists

•Manage the production, oversight, and monitoring of therapy contract proposals and service level agreements

Our team enables the transformative work of Tearfund around the world by serving Tearfund's UK based supporters.
