The Health Foundation is an independent charitable organisation working to build a healthier UK.
The postholder will support our cutting-edge work on workforce projections and productivity, contributing to a range of in-house research projects and drawing from academic findings. This role will involve supporting senior colleagues on a range of analytical projects, and taking a lead on their own, smaller pieces of work. The post holder will have opportunities to work across several areas and will be expected to work on projects looking at both the supply side and demand side of the REAL Centre’s work on the NHS and social care.
This is an exciting time to join the REAL Centre as we grow and develop our modelling capabilities, including two new research partnerships with University of York and the University of Oxford. The postholder will work closely with our research partners on projects related to health and care workforce. This includes a system dynamics model of future nurse supply in England.
The Health Foundation’s Research and Economic Analysis for the Long term (REAL) Centre was set up in 2019 to improve the evidence base for strategic decisions in the health and care system, such as relate to funding, service priorities and workforce. Since its formal launch in Autumn 2020, the REAL Centre has published several significant reports and analyses and has achieved considerable influence.

Duties and responsibilities

Key responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Analysis
• Produce comprehensive financial reports for the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and trustees to facilitate effective decision-making. This includes detailed cost and income analysis on future commitments, analysis of unrestricted and restricted income.
▪ Ensure consolidated monthly management accounts are produced in a timely and accurate manner.
• Identifying Funding Gaps, analysing financial needs versus available funds and developing strategies to secure additional capital if necessary.

THE ROLE
The Grants and Trusts Fundraiser will inspire grant bodies, charitable trusts, and foundations to support our mission. This is a key role in growing our funding to achieve our ambitious 2030 strategy. As part of the Grants and Trusts team, you'll craft and submit high-quality funding bids and projects, working closely with colleagues, partner organisations, and funders. The role will lead collaborative project teams, to present compelling cases to maximise funding opportunities, ensuring projects meet organisational and funder criteria.

This is a Hybrid working role, where you’ll work part of your time at home with time spent on site and project visits (once a month depending on the project). You will also be expected to attend a team/departmental meeting in Grantham each quarter.

We are seeking experienced and highly motivated staff members for our Complex Needs Accommodation Service. The role will require you to work alongside the Regional Services Manager , to provide a high level of support to these clients at our Ashley Road and Milton House projects.
You will be in a specialist role designed to work with people with complex support needs relating to: mental ill health, physical health & substance use needs. You will also play a key part in reducing the risk of re-offending, liaising with external professionals, preventing homelessness and promoting the independence and social inclusion of these clients.
The working rota for this post is Monday - Friday. (no weekend shifts) and a mixture of earlies (8am - 3.30pm) & lates (3pm - 10.30pm)

- Previous experience of working with people with complex support needs.
- Ability to manage a caseload and deliver positive outcomes utilising your knowledge of the health, social care and criminal justice sector.

Role description:
You will be a key member of the fundraising team, supporting all areas to grow and maximise income.
You will be responsible for:
- Database management: Responsible for ensuring the charity’s CRM database is up to date;
- Ensuring the correct import of data from 3rd party sources.
- Working with the finance team to ensure that there is correct and timely reconciliation with financial records.
- Supporting the fundraising team with marketing campaigns, events, and data screening.
- Management of donation/service platforms: Responsible for ensuring that 3rd party platforms are kept up to date, on brand and used appropriately and effectively to support fundraising activity.
Main Responsibilities:
- Importing data in an efficient, timely and accurate manner will make a up a large aspect of the role.
- Provision of regular information to the fundraising team to drive activity, such as reports on new fundraising pages which have been set-up.
- Construction of tasks in the CRM which are assigned to other members of the team to enable stewardship via the correct fundraising team member.
- Regular reconciliation of large data sets, including marketing lists.
- Regular gift aid claim submissions to HMRC within established KPIs.
- Supporting the individual giving manager to identify and fulfil key touch points in the supporters’ journey to enable donations and assist in providing communications as the need arises.
- Lead on processing donations from mailing appeals.
