Friends of the Earth has recently launched its new CRM system, using Microsoft Dynamics. This has been the result of a multi-year project to refresh processes and tools across the organisation, with Applications & Data team members at the heart of this change. We’re now looking for an excellent technology leader to enable the continuation of this work: to set the vision and enable its ongoing development and support, as well as to lead the newly formed multidisciplinary team on a day-to-day basis.
Working in an Agile manner, you will lead technology work across our business-critical systems and processes, promoting the effective use of supporter data to deliver our goal of being a data-driven organisation. This includes our Dynamics CRM and integration, and our SUN finance system. You will also be a key contact point across the IT department for project management and, when required, be an escalation route for support incidents and requests in your area.
Key Skills and Attributes:
With strong experience of working with data and internal business applications, and effective stakeholder management, you’ll be able to work with peers at all levels across the organisation to agree a technical roadmap for this work area and then focus on the detail to make it happen. This will include helping set the standard for the use of data across the organisation, using our new systems to enable this.
Your strong business analysis skills be put to great use in understanding the differing business processes and identifying areas for ongoing improvement, working with the specialists in your team. This will be accompanied by a prudent approach to assessing the value of each piece of work – whether a support request or a more substantial change - ensuring it represents cost effective ways to improve how we achieve our goals as a campaigning charity.
This is a complex environment, and your previous experience of supporting varied processes and applications will mean you’re able to prioritise effectively and ensure standardised troubleshooting approaches are used. Likewise, you’ll ensure we follow a robust and modern Software Development Lifecycle to promote changes through environments with appropriate testing and risk mitigation. If you have technical experience with the Power Platform, Logic Apps or SQL, will may come in handy when the team design and make these changes.
Your excellent understanding of Agile methodologies will mean you’ll fit right into leading within the team’s established Agile Scrum practices and support the ongoing improvement of their ways of working – and help shape how technology approaches project management.
Finally, you’ll be adept at working with others to tackle problems together: internal stakeholders will look to you for how to achieve technical change, and you’ll have excellent account management with our external partners who support our systems and will deliver some of the changes needed.
The team:
The team are an excellent group of people, who’ve made a huge contribution to our work at Friends of the Earth and are well respected. They comprise two Application Specialists (one Finance, one Dynamics) and two Data Developers. All have significant expertise in different parts of our systems.
The team have recently been formally brought together following a restructure but have worked together closely for the past few years throughout the delivery of the CRM project. The team use Agile Scrum for their delivery work, for which you will be the Product Owner.
The team works a hybrid pattern: often remote, but sometimes together as appropriate; typically, this is in our London office but can vary. You will formally line manage all four team members.

JOB PURPOSE
We are looking for a confident communicator for the permanent role of Communications Coordinator, within our Communications team.
Reporting to the Senior PR Manager, the Communications Coordinator is a key member of the team, providing support across all the charity’s communications activity.
The Communications Coordinator provides key support such as content research and creation, and assisting with PR campaigns, events and digital communications (social media and website). ROLE RESPONSIBLITIES
The Communications Coordinator will support the planning and delivery of communications activity as required across all aspects of communications. This includes:
- Providing administrative support for the Communications effort, including tracking and compiling results, internal communications, digital asset management and event logistics.
- Coordinating the team’s consent tracking and records for content and Storytellers (case studies).
- Working with colleagues in Digital Communications to respond to community enquiries on the charity’s social media channels.
- Sourcing stories and creating and uploading content for editorial channels.

- Assisting the team with image and footage research to support project-specific communications and editorial channels.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at the National Housing Federation (NHF) for a senior policy advisor to lead our policy and strategy work on housing supply, development and planning, at a critical time for social housing supply.
The NHF is the voice of housing associations in England. We are the trade body to almost 600 housing associations, who have grown from philanthropic roots to provide 2.6 million homes to around six million people. You can find further information about the NHF on our website.
This role is a crucial and exciting one within our policy team, the wider organization and the social housing sector. Social housing supply is high on the political agenda and housing associations are working closely with the government on the policy and funding environment needed to allow us to deliver the biggest boost to social and affordable housebuilding in a generation. This role will put you at the heart of this national issue.
Whether this is making a persuasive and evidence-based case to the government for additional grant funding to build new homes, or working with sector experts on the detail of planning, development or regeneration policy, or meeting with civil servants, developers, planners, local government and other stakeholders on behalf of our members, this role is central to our work influencing national social housing policy.

Key elements of the role:
- Shape and lead our policy work on key strategic issues for housing associations around housing supply – including planning, funding, development management, skills;
- Develop evidence and ideas on technical policy areas into salient policy solutions that will make a difference for the sector and influence government;
- Represent the NHF to senior colleagues in government, members and external stakeholders with credibility, expertise and political judgement;
- Communicate with and provide advice to members on critical changes to policy and the external environment.
The successful candidate:
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- An ability to lead the development of credible, robust, evidence based policy, including on complex and technical policy areas;
- An ability to communicate credibly, clearly and persuasively in writing and in person including to Chief Executives, senior government officials and development professionals;
- An ability to draft, oversee, adapt and deliver complex plans for the delivery of multiple projects or programmes of work;
- A strong interest in and passion for social housing and for social housing supply, through previous experience in either development or housing roles, and capacity to quickly learn the technical details of housing association development and operating models.
Nb within the NHF this role is known as ‘policy leader’ but it is equivalent to a Senior Policy Advisor in other settings.

We are seeking an exceptional leader to drive the next phase of the The Area Leaders Programme (ALP), scaling from a successful pilot in four Local Authorities to broader implementation across England and Wales.
We exist to prevent children becoming involved in violence. Our mission is to find what works and build a movement to put it into practice. The Area Leaders Programme (ALP) is central to this mission. The ALP will transform how areas identify and support young people and places most vulnerable to violence, collaborate effectively, and deliver impactful interventions to better protect children from being drawn into violence.
Key responsibilities include:
Programme Leadership and Delivery. Lead the expansion of ALP from four pilot areas to 10 new local authorities from spring 2025.
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration. Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, safeguarding partnerships, community safety partnerships, and other stakeholders.
Capacity Building and Support. Provide strategic and operational support to senior multi-agency teams, empowering them to embed effective violence prevention practices.
Strategic Vision and Development. Work with the Head of Change for Children’s Services and Neighbourhoods to shape the strategic direction of the ALP, ensuring alignment with YEF’s broader mission.
