You will be in a specialist role designed to work with people who experience multiple disadvantages relating to: mental ill health, physical health & substance use needs. You will also play a key part in reducing the risk of re-offending, liaising with external professionals, preventing homelessness and promoting the independence and social inclusion of these clients.

• You will work in a trauma-informed way, working creatively with clients in the service.

What is the overall purpose of the role?

The Staying Connected project provides weekly one-to-one and group support for young people aged 11 - 19 years, facing multiple challenges. Creating a personal action plan comprised of positive activities that promote and enhance personal development and skills, building on young people’s strengths. This engagement is via face-to-face, online platforms, mobile phones and structured group work to maintain contact with them, talking about how they are feeling and to provide advice, mentoring and signposting to additional support services.

Key Responsibilities

Programme management

• Programme Delivery: Coordinate and oversee the development and implementation of a personal and social development programme for young people aged 11-19.
• Recruitment: Engage and recruit young people to participate in the programme.

Welcare is recruiting an experienced Family Support Worker to deliver a broad-based preventative support service for families with children up to the age of 13 in partnership with schools, churches, the local authority and other agencies, in the London boroughs of Bromley and Greenwich.  Local knowledge of Bromley and Greenwich areas would be an advantage.

General Duties:

1. To promote the programmes of work and manage the external and internal referral process including the assessment of need, risk and safeguarding concerns.

2. Hold a caseload of 4 families delivering “whole family” or targeted interventions.

3. Lead and facilitate community group work programmes including 6 #CapeAbility in Schools programme which aims to build resilience and self-esteem for children in key stage 2.

4. Lead and facilitate groupwork programmes for parents such Strengthening Families Strengthening Communities and Child Overcoming Domestic Abuse.

5. Safeguard the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults you work with directly and take appropriate action if escalation is needed.

6. To provide practical and emotional support to families or advocacy and signposting to specialist and universal services where appropriate.

7. Ensuring that the voices and views of children and young people are sought, heard and represented appropriately.

8. Attend designated meetings with multi-agency professionals and act as lead professional where appropriate to support the Team Around the Child/Family or Early Help Assessment (EHA).

About the role

We’re looking for a Fundraising Engagement Manager to join our Regional Fundraising team.

This is a role of variety, opportunity and innovation, and we are looking for someone who embraces change and constantly strives to achieve more.

You will maximise income for Young Live vs Cancer by coaching our supporters to reach their goals, whilst seeking out new fundraising opportunities for your geographical area. This role sits within the ‘Regional Engagement’ team and we need someone with natural customer service skills who wants to deliver an excellent experience to all of their supporters. Your team of supporters will range from volunteers and individuals, to groups and local corporates.

South & West Yorkshire is an area filled with some of our most committed supporters but there is still so much opportunity to grow corporate support across the counties. Our Social Workers support families from Sheffield and Leeds hospitals, so building relationships with these teams are a must.

Candidates should live within South & West Yorkshire, in one of the following counties: Bradford, Doncaster, Halifax, Leeds, Sheffield, Oldham or Wakefield.

We are looking to recruit a female Project Worker for our diverse team at the Chrysalis Project in South London. Reporting to the Deputy Manager you will be responsible for providing person-centred support to clients to manage their tenancies and access independence.

As the post-holder, you will be working in our Women only Palace Road location, to maintain an environment of support for women with complex needs.

In this role you will:

• Support clients to liaise with external services like GP, substance misuse teams, mental health teams, social services.
• Support with all necessary skills to enable an individual to move on to more independent accommodation,
• Work shifts which are normally 8am - 8:30pm. You will also be expected to work some weekends and Bank Holidays.
• Carry a caseload of clients and be their lead worker.

About you

You will be able to liaise effectively with external agencies, have clear communication skills, a non-judgemental approach, and a good working knowledge of homeless clients and the challenges they face.

The successful candidate does not have to have direct experience in a similar environment. We are seeking a candidate who is willing to learn and who has a strong understanding of the needs of homeless and vulnerable people, especially those with complex needs. Dedication, personal resilience and a relationship based, non-judgemental approach is essential.

We are hiring! We have a job vacancy for an Early Intervention Project Worker to join Shine.

Shine has a membership of over 14,000 members living with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus and associated conditions and over 6,500 associated members.

Our Little Stars project for 0–12-year-olds has been established for over 5 years supporting younger members and their families with their diagnosis and beyond. We also have a growing Teen membership known as FIRE (Friendship, Independence, Resilience, Equality) Working alongside our multi skilled, established team, you will be supporting members across all age groups and building on the great foundations already in place. 

We are looking for an Early Intervention Project Worker who can cover the South of England, primarily you will be home based, supporting members through phone calls and using online platforms.  You will be required to attend clinics, events and meet members one to one where necessary within your allocated area and occasionally across wider areas and nationally. 

Purpose of the role 

• To deliver Shine's Little Stars (funded by The National Lottery Community Fund) project for 0–12-year-olds, supporting early years and younger members with their families, their diagnosis and beyond across the Southern Region. To provide advice, support and guidance to enable people with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus to access the correct benefits to become financially stable, the right services to improve their health and well-being, and to better co-ordinate their support and independence through a variety of methods. 

• To improve the life wellbeing of children 0-12 years old with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus by promoting independence and providing them and their families with early intervention support. 

• To create a community whereby those affected by spina bifida and hydrocephalus can connect with others, are empowered through knowledge and feel confident in the support networks surrounding them.

The role will involve developing and nurturing relationships with those who own, manage, design or have an interest in green infrastructure by proactively facilitating our networks and supporter activities to engender more effective and collaborative working, knowledge sharing, and connection.

This is a great role for someone who is excited by working with senior stakeholders across London who play an active role in maintaining and enhancing London’s green spaces.

The successful candidate will be a confident ambassador for the charity, and capable of building long term partnerships. The post holder will need to use their initiative, creativity and proven partnership building skills to enable the charity to expand and maximise the impact of its existing networks, support internal and external development, and plan and coordinate supporter-focused activities.

As part of a small charity, the successful candidate will need to be a team player, ready and willing to respond and adapt to opportunities and challenges, working closely with the rest of the Parks for London team and trustees.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver and enhance our network and engagement programme to support green space owners and managers
• Support and coordinate the administration and delivery of a range of virtual and in-person network meetings and events
• Identify and develop relationships with potential new supporters 
• Support the identification, and engagement of new audiences who could benefit from our work
• Identify and develop relationships with potential collaborators with whom we can work in partnership with, to maximise our capacity and expand our reach
• Support the sustainability of the charity by driving and maximising existing income streams as well as identifying and delivering new opportunities for income generation
• Represent Parks for London at events and wider engagement opportunities, and promote the interests of the charity, our services, and our supporters
• Keep abreast of local, regional, national and international funding opportunities to identify opportunities for both the charity and those in our networks
• Contribute to the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of Parks for London and our services
• Play an active role in strategic reviews, business planning, and contribute to the wider thinking and planning of the charity
• Carry out other duties and activities as agreed with the Executive Director

About the Role

• Support young people and young adults (18-25) from the point they engage with the service, through their entire journey.
• Work alongside the MOPAC Y2A hub, specifically supporting young adults involved with probation services.
• Provide screening, assessments, psychosocial interventions, care planning, and post-treatment support, ensuring seamless transitions in care.
• Respond effectively to safeguarding issues, ensuring the safety and well-being of the individuals you work with.
• Reduce drug and alcohol-related harm, helping create healthier communities.
• Advocate for access to relevant services, ensuring holistic outcomes in relation to health and well-being.
• Promote positive outcomes that enable young people to lead safer, healthier, and more purposeful lives, building resilience and reducing risks.

About You

• Experience working with young people, with a good understanding of the issues they face.
• Knowledge of safeguarding practices, particularly concerning children and young people, including the Fraser Competence framework.
• Strong understanding of drug and alcohol-related issues and experience in a related field.
• Knowledge of best practices in substance misuse treatment services, especially in relation to young people.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a high level of IT proficiency.
• Team-oriented with a cooperative, supportive approach to achieving service objectives.

The St Mungo’s Pan London Rough Sleeping Teams (No Second Night Out and Somewhere Safe to Stay) provide a rapid response service, intervening to ensure no one needs to sleep rough. We are currently looking for people to join our teams as Night Assessment Workers in our No Second Night Out Assessment Hubs. In these roles you will: 

• Work as part of a busy team environment working closely with those affected by rough sleeping. 

• Provide a safe and supportive environment at night to clients; carrying out assessment when clients first arrive out the service.  

• Work on a 7 day weekly night rota pattern with an average of 3 waking night shifts in a row (for example 8pm–8.30am or 9pm–8am) 

About you

• Some experience of dealing directly with the public and/or customers in a busy service environment.

We are looking for a part time Information & Advocacy Community Support Worker in Scotland.  You will be home based living in the North of Scotland.

You will ensure that service users (children and adults) and their families, receive high quality support, from the point of diagnosis and throughout their journey, and will assist them to access funding, equipment and care and support that they are entitled to. You will join a team that makes a real difference to the lives of the people living with muscle-wasting conditions, and their families, in Scotland. The role will be primarily home based, but there will also be a requirement to attend outpatient clinics within the region, attend home visits where appropriate and to support responding to queries through the helpline and information inbox. Some travel will be required to attend meetings and events outside of Scotland. You will work with both statutory and voluntary organisations, clinicians, and health and social care professionals to ensure that people living with muscle wasting conditions get the care and support they need to live well and independently.
