This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, dynamic, and professional fundraiser to lead the team at Treloar’s. As the Director of Fundraising, you will develop and implement innovative fundraising strategies, oversee a dedicated and passionate team and support them in generating significant income through a variety of channels, including trusts and foundations, events, corporate partnerships, individual giving, and major donations.

We are looking for someone with a strong track record in senior-level charitable fundraising. You should bring advanced knowledge of a wide variety of fundraising channels, compliance expertise, and exceptional leadership skills. Experience in the education or disability sectors and relevant qualifications in fundraising are advantageous.

· Provides the strategic lead & champions the work of the SFT to external stakeholders.

Person Specification

Essential

• Experience of working in an organisation with environment, conservation or heritage at its core.
• Operated as a CEO or senior executive, with proven leadership and change management skills.
• Detailed understanding of P&L, budgeting, balance sheets, cash flow, income statements.

· Excellent verbal, written and digital communication skills, with the diplomacy required to effectively manage a wide range of stakeholders.

· A track record of initiating/developing new business and income streams.

· Ability to regularly attend the SFT office and other key locations within the Sherwood area.

Desirable

· Experience of working in charity/third sector organisation.

· Degree level education or equivalent.

· Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, PR, finance.

· Experience of providing leadership of a dispersed team.

· Experience of working with and developing a positive, robust relationship with a Board of Trustees

About the role:

The RSAP (Rough Sleeping Accommodation Programme) Lead Worker will provide support to individuals, who have a history of Rough Sleeping, following them being accepted into the RSAP ‘move-on’ programme. 

The Lead Worker will provide intensive, holistic, strengths-based, trauma-informed, flexible and responsive support to individuals accessing this service as well as work alongside external agencies to help ensure they are linked into the local community such as activities and groups which offer health, wellbeing and Education, Employment and Training (ETE) opportunities.

The Lead Worker will provide support to the Team Manager to manage referrals coming into this element of the service and lead on assessing the individual. Working within SHP’s policy and procedural framework, the worker will carry out a comprehensive assessment of needs and risks in agreed timescales.  On-going high quality support plans & risk assessments will then be drafted and reviewed on a regular basis. 

You will be working to upskill the client to manage their accommodation and feel ready to move on from the RSAP property into fully independent housing, within 2 years where possible.

About you:

You will possess the relevant knowledge and experience, including:

• A level of experience and understanding of provision of services to people within the areas of offending, mental health, homeless people with complex needs & a history of substance use; 

• A good and current understanding of safeguarding issues and procedures;

• Experience of effective liaison with social care, health, housing and criminal justice agencies;

• Experience of writing client records, completing monitoring materials and contributing to project evaluation;

• A significant level of experience, practise and understanding of the principles of risk and needs assessment, planning, goal setting, and reviewing;

• An understanding of the importance of professional integrity in relationships with clients, peers and other relevant professionals.

You will also bring the relevant skillset to the role which includes:

• The ability to find ways to develop relationships with people who find it difficult to engage, and to engage and work with clients who may have a low level of interaction with services and who may be sceptical about their value;

The team design and help implement behaviour modification and training plans for dogs whilst coaching members of the canine care groups through the practical day-to-day steps. Within this role, you will work with our operational teams in the assessment and welfare of the dogs in our care and in the provision of behavioural training and advice for staff, volunteers, customers and external organisations. You will be working as part of a care group to create behaviour modification plans, support with handling difficult dogs and make recommendations, along with the individual care group, for individual dog outcomes.

Relationship management [20%]

• Manage great relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses, donors, and your Board of Trustees
• Embed into your local church; working closely with your Spear Trustees and congregation, and actively participating in their mission and events
• Partner with the Spear Trustees and assist in implementing their funding strategy by helping to build corporate and donor relationships. For example, by hosting prospective donors in the Training Room

Delivery of the Spear Programme [20%]

• Support group and 1-1 coaching with numerous 16-24-year-olds: equipping them with practical work-ready skills and resilient mindsets
• Provide guidance to the Lead Coach in the training room when dealing with behavioural and safeguarding situations and upskill coaches with consistent coaching feedback
• Use a coaching approach to engage young people in challenging conversations that will enable them to take responsibility and over significant barriers to employment

Operations [10%]

• Liaise with relevant staff regarding site operations and work to resolve any issues as soon as possible, ensuring the office and training room are safe and tidy working spaces in line with health and safety policies

The Trustees of St Neots Foodbank are looking for a new Foodbank Manager to join our amazing team of volunteers. We are a community-led operation that is based on, shaped, and guided by Christian principles. We believe no-one in our community should have to face going hungry.  

St Neots Foodbank was founded ten years ago by the town’s churches; and is part of the Trussell Trust network and is still managed by trustees from those churches. At St Neots Foodbank we have our own warehouse and run four distribution centres across St Neots each week; all currently staffed by over 70 volunteers.

We are looking for

As Operations Manager, you will oversee the operations at St Neots Foodbank, giving particular attention to operational efficiency and standards in line with the terms of the franchise, including the implementation of existing policies and standard operating processes. You will be instrumental in enabling our Foodbank to continue to support our community and support and guide its future development.

Our ideal candidate will have relevant experience and be able to demonstrate great leadership qualities to build strong teams based on trust and understanding. Self-motivation, organisation and excellent interpersonal skills will be essential for this role. We are looking for an individual who is in sympathy with Christian values, and who has the ability to work empathetically with people from disadvantaged, marginalised, or socially excluded backgrounds.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated individual, who has a flexible attitude to lead on our translation service within the Fund.

The Fund is a truly bilingual organisation. Our principle is to treat the Welsh and English languages equally by offering a bilingual service to our customers and grant holders on a day-to-day basis.

You will work independently alongside numerous teams to ensure an effective and accurate translation service for the whole organisation.  You will ensure that all our online and off-line materials, including new web pages, publications and corporate initiatives, are translated in accordance with agreed deadlines.

You will work closely with our Welsh Language Officer to ensure that the Fund fulfils its statutory legal requirements to comply with the Welsh Language Standards under the Welsh Language (Wales) Measure 2011.

The ability to speak and write in Welsh fluently and confidently is essential for this post.

Location: Hybrid, Cardiff and/or Newtown offices

We have a hybrid approach to working and this role can be based in Cardiff or Newtown, along with homeworking.

Essential Criteria

• A degree/or equivalent in Welsh or a degree/or equivalent completed through the medium of Welsh
• Experience of working as a translator working accurately to tight deadlines
• Fluency in oral and written Welsh
• Ability to proof-read documents to a high standard of accuracy in both Welsh and English

Desirable Criteria

• Ability to co-ordinate systems and processes and develop effective working relationships to enable collaboration across the Fund
• A strong understanding of the importance of a bilingual brand across the communications mix
• Membership of the Association of Welsh Translators and Interpreters or a willingness to work towards this aim
• Awareness of the background and objectives of the current Welsh language requirements in terms of Legislation, Frameworks and Standards
