About the role:

In this role, you will provide essential administrative support to a specialised Cases Unit, playing a key part in its day-to-day functions. Your responsibilities will include managing and organising case documents, coordinating meetings, facilitating communication with legal teams, and assisting in casework activities. Your attention to detail and organisational skills will ensure the efficient operation of the unit, contributing to the overall success of its work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and improve the Unit's document management system to ensure efficient tracking, retrieval, and organisation of casework materials.
• Manage and update key logs, including Excel spreadsheets, to support ongoing Unit activities.
• Prepare and organise evidence bundles using the case management system, including redacting sensitive information for review by the Independent Decision-Making Body.
• Communicate with specific Inquiry staff and the Solicitor to the Inquiry on administrative and case-related matters as needed.
• Keep detailed records of all communications related to the Inquiry and ensure the Unit is regularly updated.
• Attend meetings with key stakeholders like the Legal Services Board and Solicitors Regulatory Authority, taking and distributing accurate notes.
• Coordinate with third parties, such as tribunals, witnesses, and legal representatives, to ensure the smooth progression of cases.
• Schedule and organise meetings for the Unit, including internal meetings and external sessions with stakeholders.
• Take and distribute minutes from meetings with legal advisors, barristers, and other external contacts.
• Provide general administrative support, including managing casework tasks, preparing hearing bundles, and liaising with counsel and witnesses, often under strict deadlines.
• Handle inquiries via the central mailbox, draft correspondence, and manage routine telephone inquiries.
• Process invoices and purchase orders and maintain financial records using the organisation's finance system.
• Collaborate closely with other administrative teams, particularly those supporting the Independent Decision-Making Body.
• Assist in managing incoming communications and provide general support for the Unit, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
• Provide administrative support to the Senior Case Officer, Case Officer, and Director as required.

To be considered for the role, you will have the following skills, knowledge, and experience:

• Proven administrative experience, including managing mail, handling correspondence, drafting letters, managing records, and responding to telephone inquiries.
• Strong skills in both electronic and physical file management.
• Experience in effective diary management.
• Experience working in a regulatory, public service, or comparable sector, ideally within a professional body related to the legal profession.
• Familiarity with the legal profession or legal training, particularly understanding regulatory frameworks and case management processes.
• Experience updating databases and preparing case bundles.

Background to the Role

Do you have helpline or call centre experience?  Are you good at communicating on the telephone?  Do you enjoy helping people to find information and solutions to challenges?  Are you approachable and a good communicator? We need you to join our high volume, friendly helpline team of staff and volunteers, answering calls and providing information and support to older people in Croydon.

Our helpline is a first point of contact for many older people and their families and carers as they tackle a variety of issues around finance, social engagement, housing and council tax, travel concessions such as Blue Badge and Taxi card.  You will play a crucial role in answering our busy Information & Advice Helpline phone: listening carefully and sympathetically to callers, finding solutions to their queries or issues and. The role is varied and very rewarding, and no two days are the same.

Main Duties (but not limited to)

• Providing information and signposting to callers to our Helpline and to people enquiring by email
• Entering new client referrals on our database and recording each new enquiry on our systems
• Supporting and supervising volunteers within the I&A Team

About you

The Head of Finance will lead the finance team, ensuring robust financial management and sustainability to support our charitable objectives. With responsibility for a team of five you will lead and provide statutory, financial and management accounting, including all financial planning and analysis, for the Football Foundation (Foundation) and the Premier League Stadium Fund.

The role:

• Develop and implement financial strategies that support the organisation’s visions e.g. treasury management, developing long term cashflow strategies to maximise returns to the organisation.
• Lead and work with the SMT, Management Group, PMO Lead, and Data & Insight team to create and maintain financial and cost models to support the development and finalisation of strategic plans, budgets, and forecasts, focusing on the relationship between services, resources, and productivity.

About the role 

The Head of People and Culture at Tudor Trust is a transformative leadership role responsible for developing and implementing a holistic People and Culture strategy. This role will drive a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and inclusion while embedding Tudor’s behaviours into every aspect of the organisation. Are you passionate about the role and contribution of the voluntary sector? Do you have a background in qualitative research, facilitating and developing new partnerships? IVAR is looking for a Deputy Director of Research who will work together with the Director of Research to lead a cohesive research team to ensure our work has the greatest possible impact.

At the Institute for Voluntary Action Research (IVAR), we work with charities, foundations and public agencies to strengthen UK communities through action research. We champion the role and contribution of the voluntary sector. Through our research projects, we build an understanding of what it takes to deliver for communities and causes across the UK. We hear what helps voluntary organisations and what gets in their way. We then work with funders and public agencies to influence practice, build dialogue and put charity voice at the heart of change.

As Deputy Director of Research, you will be expected to work closely with the Director of Research to support quality assurance, the development of research practice, the maintenance of ethical standards, and the continuous improvement of writing and research communications. It is essential that you have experience of the voluntary sector and working with funders, and you will have a strong understanding and experience of qualitative research. You will have a proven track record in line management and be confident to lead a portfolio of varied projects. As a strong communicator you will be required to facilitate complex discussions and focus groups, build partnerships and have a track record of winning new work. You will also have excellent written skills with the ability of writing in an accessible and engaging manner for different audiences throughout all stages of the research process.
