THE ROLE

The full-time Creative Communications and Events Officer works within the Communications team to help inform the public about antisemitism using a variety of media.

You will be joining our small, fast-paced, entrepreneurial staff team based at our office in central London.

The role brings a diverse set of responsibilities and an opportunity to work within a charitable organisation with a strong sense of purpose.

Responsibilities

• You will design graphics across our organisation, from social media posts and placards to pamphlets to pledge cards
• Work with creative colleagues to conceive and implement a variety communications campaigns to raise awareness about antisemitism and educate the public, sometimes at short notice and with tight deadlines
• Provide logistical support for communications projects, including scouting and booking locations, ordering materials, liaising with third parties and conducting internal research
• Plan, script, shoot and edit videos on various topics for different audiences on our numerous social media channels
• Growing our social media presence, including paid campaigns, to maximise reach and engagement
• Play a significant role in podcast production, from researching and booking guests to audio and visual editing
• Strategically planning and executing key events for the organisation throughout the year, ensuring maximum impact
• Design merchandise for our website and oversee the logistical aspect of sales
• Measure and analyse performance and outcomes of campaigns to increase reach and effectiveness
• Correspond with members of the public who write in to us

 Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT) is the dedicated NHS hospital charity for Cambridge University Hospitals, also fondly known locally as Addenbrooke’s. The Charity works to fund projects and facilities that are beyond the boundaries of the NHS to achieve the highest possible standards and outcomes in patient experience, clinical care, research and education - helping to find potential cures and save lives locally, nationally and worldwide.

Addenbrooke’s has embarked on a bold journey of transformation. As part of this, two brand-new hospitals will be built: the Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital and the Cambridge Children’s Hospital. These two specialist hospitals are being designed with patients at their heart and will combine first-class clinical expertise with world-class biomedical research to transform care for cancer patients and children regionally, nationally and internationally.  

To make this vision a reality, ACT has embarked upon two ambitious multi-year, multi-million pound philanthropic campaigns to support the development of these two new hospitals. It is rare to have one project with an ambition of this kind, and so for two to be built at the same time, no stone must be left unturned and the Charity are looking for two ambitious new fundraisers who shares a passion for their cause, one with a focus on individual philanthropists and the other with a focus on strategic partnerships.

The role of Senior Philanthropy Lead is a critical one for the Charity, driving income from individuals with the capacity to give at the six and seven figure level. Reporting to the Co-Director of Philanthropy and managing two Philanthropy Leads, the postholder will take over a multi-million pound pipeline, whilst also driving new business. This role is fixed-term for two years.

The role of Senior Trusts & Strategic Partnerships Lead is a brand-new, permanent position and an essential one in helping to seek and grow significant philanthropic partnerships for the Charity. Reporting to the Co-Director of Philanthropy and managing a Trusts Lead, the postholder will refine and implement the fundraising strategy and develop a priority prospect list of trusts and grants.

In both cases, candidates will be a motivated and experienced fundraising professionals who can hit the ground running and lead by example. They will possess a track record in achieving complex major gifts, excellent interpersonal skills, a collaborative and creative approach and the ability to inspire stakeholders at all levels.

The role of Helpline Advisor

For several years, Guts UK have provided information, support and guidance to our community over the phone and by email. This year, we’re formalising that service into a professional Helpline and are looking for someone to join our small, talented support team.

During the initial 6-month trial period, the Helpline phone lines will be open Monday to Friday, 10am to 2pm, but this may expand or change later in the year. Queries could be received via phone, email or web-query form.

​As a member of the Helpline team, you will offer on demand information, support, guidance and signposting primarily to enquirers living with, or caring for those with, digestive conditions and symptoms. The support offered will include receiving calls, emails and web form queries from people who are looking for more information about their digestive condition, need to know where they can turn to for support, or are waiting on a diagnosis and need help navigating how to get there. You will provide appropriate information, guidance and signposting to our own information and other external support organisations. As a charity, Guts UK covers all digestive symptoms and conditions, across the whole of the UK, and so no two days will be the same and queries will be diverse and interesting.

The role holder will man the Helpline (alongside others from the team) from 10am to 2pm (with a 30-minute lunch break) and during that time will receive, respond to and appropriately log phone calls, web-queries and emails.

Job Title: Positive Engagement Worker

Location: Based in Croydon, CR0 1EB, you will be based across multiple properties in the area

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Positive Engagement Worker to join our team based in Croydon which aims to deliver residential based support to people referred by South London and Maudsley Trust (SLaM). Our residents are referred to gain support with their Mental Health and other multiple complex needs. Our aim is to support them and help them prepare for independent living, whilst managing their individual risks. You will be at the heart of providing person centred support in a tailored way, to help our residents improve their quality of life, and achieve their personal goals through providing flexible support. 

In this role, you will be at the centre of researching, sourcing, and providing various opportunities for our residents. This can include partnering with external employers for employment opportunities, liaising with colleges for courses and upskilling opportunities, or community based projects which residents can get involved in. The role is dynamic and you can put your own ideas forward to bring new ideas to the team to help support our residents have access to wider resources. You will work closely with the rest of the care and support teams to enhance the opportunities available to our residents. 

You will work directly with our residents to support them to overcome their personal barriers and challenges to achieve positive outcomes. You will do this through one to one support sessions, group sessions and activities, and general support with their daily living.

The role further includes:

• Plan and deliver various activities which includes within the service and outside in the local community to help gain a sense of community and belonging. This can include days out to museums, community events and other areas of interest by our residents
• Plan in service events to bring residents together which could include group cooking sessions, games days, sporting events, and religious festivals.
• Keeping support plans up to date using our online portal
• Carrying out housing management support including welfare benefits support

About you

We're looking for someone who has a true passion to support those who face challenges with their mental health and that may have substance dependency. You will be able to build rapport and trusting relations in a professional setting, and able to build positive outcomes. Myeloma Patients Europe (MPE) is offering an exciting position as Communications Manager (Digital and Social Media) in a dynamic European non-profit patient advocacy organisation. This role will help deliver the MPE communications strategy, providing both strategic and operational support across the organisation, and ensuring that MPE is increasing our reach and impact to improve the lives and experiences of myeloma patients.

As Communications Manager (Digital and Social Media), you will work with the Head of Communications and other key staff across to the organisation to:

• Implement MPE communications strategy, monitor and improve MPE reach, and increase impact with key stakeholders
• Develop and disseminate strong and relevant messaging for key stakeholders     
• Monitor and evaluate our performance and reach across digital and social communications channels

This will include working on the following core activities and tasks:

Digital communications (40%)

• Writing, editing and updating content for the MPE website (i.e. using WordPress, Elementor and other content management systems)
• Developing written and graphic content for MPE programme specific websites (such as MPE Navigator and Myeloma Access Atlas)

Animal welfare charities the Universities Federation for Animal Welfare (UFAW) and the Humane Slaughter Association (HSA) are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Fundraising & Membership Officer to strengthen the Fundraising and Communications team. About the role 

We The Curious is about to enter an exciting new phase in its mission to connect and empower everyone through shared creative science learning experiences. It is nearly a year since we reopened and as we enter our 25th Anniversary Year there is lots to celebrate and talk about with our new multi-year strategy, Plan 2030 which encompasses numerous major projects for which we must develop and cultivate support. 

The Development Team is responsible for fundraising across the whole organisation and the stewardship and development of our donors and supporters. The other members of the team are the Development Manager, the Gifts and Partnerships Manager and Development Account Manager. We are looking for a Trusts and Foundations Manager who is collaborative, organised and an excellent communicator to join the team to help us maximise and unlock some very exciting fundraising opportunities. 

As Trusts and Foundations Manager you will use your skills in research and persuasion to identify grants funding opportunities, establish new relationships and write and submit proposals to trusts, foundations, Lottery funders, the local authority, universities and research councils. Working closely with the rest of the team and project managers from other departments you will raise between six and seven figure sums for our programme of creative science learning and inclusion projects.

What will you do in this role? 

Role specific responsibilities 

_Identify new grants funding sources, including trusts and foundations, research councils and statutory/government funders.

_Prepare and submit high quality funding proposals, expressions of interest and budgets in accordance with strict deadlines and application criteria, to a diverse range of funders, for up to seven-figure sums.

_Work closely with internal departmental teams to develop We The Curious projects so that they are ready for fundraising and write detailed and compelling cases for support that include timelines, budgets and evaluation and reporting plans.

_Support the funding applications of other partner organisations by collaboratively drafting budgets, attending project development meetings and writing letters of support.

_Support the Development Account Manager to cultivate potential funders, including attending on-site visits and events, phone calls and delivering presentations to secure support.

_Support the Development Account Manager to manage a portfolio of funders including overseas relationships, fulfilling reporting and public recognition requirements, thank you letters, regular communications and other correspondence.

_Liaise with the finance team to record new income and report on expenditure in accordance with funder deadlines.   

_Support the Gifts and Partnerships Manager and Development Manager in identifying new strategic opportunities and exploring new types of income stream. This may include presenting to the leadership team. Contribute to the delivery of the fundraising strategy, including proposing financial targets for grants, lottery and research income.

_Work closely with the Open City Research (OCR) Manager to identify and pursue new funding opportunities for our ambitious OCR programme and work with the finance team to establish a new funding model for this activity. Support the Gifts and Partnerships Manager and Sustainability and Science Director in cultivating high-value stakeholders in STEM and research sectors.

_Assist in the implementation of the Development Team’s migration onto a new CRM database working closely with the Development Account Manager to customise the database for the Development team’s needs. 

_Work with the finance team to understand our financial position and as requested by the Finance Director, contributing to key organisational financial documentation, such as the annual business plan. 

_Manage Fundraising Volunteers supporting the administrative workload of the team and attend Volunteer Key Contacts meetings.

_Attend and occasionally present at We The Curious staff meetings, exhibition launches, project meetings, project development presentations and meetings as required.

General ​responsibilities 

_Develop and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of We The Curious’ planned activities for communities and schools to present our work persuasively to funders and partners.

What we’re looking for from you 

_You’ll have at least three years of fundraising experience, with success at delivering against financial targets and strict deadlines. You’ll have the ability to network, build and manage funding relationships with a wide range of funders and other stakeholders.

_You’ll be confident explaining and pitching ideas to internal and external stakeholders.

_You’ll have experience of working very closely with project delivery teams to develop projects, ensure they know what they need to deliver for funders and monitor their expenditure.

_You’ll have excellent budget management skills, the ability to work independently and effectively and will be confident reporting on six or seven figure budgets.

_You will have good understanding of the financial and regulatory environment charities operate within.

_You’ll have some technical knowledge and experience at using and developing fundraising databases.

_You’ll have experience and confidence in managing multiple projects simultaneously.

_You’ll have the ability to understand We The Curious’ broad-ranging project content and tailor it to appropriate style and content for target funders.

_You’ll have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

_You’ll ideally have an understanding or experience of working in education, culture and/or science charities.

Key duties include managing financial processes such as accurate till operation, invoice processing, and stock control. You will strive to minimise wastage and losses through regular audits and clear procedures, maintaining accurate records of all transactions and stock movements.

You will also lead on staffing—recruiting, training, and supervising your team of around 12 student staff members. Responsibilities include creating rotas, processing payroll, and managing performance through regular feedback and support, while fostering a positive and productive team culture.

The Café Supervisor will work closely with the Commercial Manager – Strand to develop exciting product offerings and promotions. With support from the marketing team, you'll ensure effective merchandising and campaigns that increase sales and engage the student community. Strong relationships with students, colleagues, and suppliers are vital.

You will also manage catering bookings and ensure services meet high standards, from enquiry to delivery. Compliance with food hygiene, health and safety, and equipment maintenance is essential. Issues must be reported promptly, maintain a safe environment, and ensure all staff follow uniform and cleaning protocols.

The role: Royal Navy Sports and Community Infrastructure Project Officer - full time/35 hours per week
