We are seeking a proactive and experienced Café Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of The Shack Café, a busy student-facing outlet at KCLSU. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for hospitality and team leadership, committed to delivering excellent service and creating a vibrant, welcoming space for students, staff and visitors.

The postholder will lead a team of student shift leaders and staff, ensuring smooth daily operations, high standards of cleanliness, and exceptional customer service. You'll take a hands-on approach, often setting an example on the floor while supervising your team effectively. Key duties include managing financial processes such as accurate till operation, invoice processing, and stock control. You will strive to minimise wastage and losses through regular audits and clear procedures, maintaining accurate records of all transactions and stock movements.

You will also lead on staffing—recruiting, training, and supervising your team of around 12 student staff members. Responsibilities include creating rotas, processing payroll, and managing performance through regular feedback and support, while fostering a positive and productive team culture.

The Café Supervisor will work closely with the Commercial Manager – Strand to develop exciting product offerings and promotions. With support from the marketing team, you'll ensure effective merchandising and campaigns that increase sales and engage the student community. Strong relationships with students, colleagues, and suppliers are vital.

You will also manage catering bookings and ensure services meet high standards, from enquiry to delivery. Compliance with food hygiene, health and safety, and equipment maintenance is essential. Issues must be reported promptly, maintain a safe environment, and ensure all staff follow uniform and cleaning protocols.

About the Role

About the Role

The Senior Corporate Development Lead will focus on:

*Executing the fundraising strategy developed by the Head of Corporates and Trusts in relation to corporate partners, during the maternity period.

*Oversight and leadership of the income and expenditure budgets for the Corporate Business Unit.
*Identifying major prospects and the pursuit of these, with a view to raise considerable financial support, working to agreed targets.

*Working closely with senior colleagues and high-level volunteers to implement the strategy

As Head of Trusts and Corporates you will;

- Gain an in-depth understanding of current corporate partnerships and patronages at ENB and identify areas for growth, leading on the income and expenditure budgets for the Corporate Business Unit. You will also Support the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager to review and deliver the existing strategy for the Corporate Business Unit and be accountable for the programme's pipeline development, for the future

About You

You must have had;

*Experience of working with commercial organisations in a fundraising environment, with a track record of securing six figure support.

*Proven experience of line management in a fundraising department, supporting their professional development and providing inspiring and supportive leadership.

*Track record of growing income and pipeline development in the performing arts, cultural, higher education or third sector, in the UK.

Since last year, we have been gradually launching our new Excellence Network regional clinical lead roles across England as part of our new regional model in England. We're now recruiting for the final regional clinical lead in England to lead their regional network in London.

In September 2024, the Parkinson’s UK Excellence Network (PEN) moved to a new regional model in England and introduced the 7 newly-formed PEN regions in England, with the boundaries aligned to the 7 NHS England regions. Click here to read more about the new model.

The regional model in the devolved nations remains the same: there are 3 regions in Scotland, 2 in Wales and 1 region in Northern Ireland.

Last year we began gradually recruiting the consultancy services of regional clinical leads in each of the 7 regions in England, to help us deliver this new model.

By the end of 2024, we were delighted to have appointed 4 regional clinical leads. We welcomed Antonella Macerollo and Sarah Fraser in the north west and north east and Yorkshire, respectively. You can find out more about Antonella and Sarah here.

Join the regional clinical lead team

We are now recruiting for the final regional clinical lead vacancy in England to lead their regional network in London.

Who can apply?

Any UK-based healthcare professional, working in Parkinson’s or with an interest and expertise in the condition, with exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills is welcome to apply. Healthcare professionals living with Parkinson’s are also encouraged.

You’ll have a good understanding of the landscape of health and care delivery, education and workforce development to support the strategic aims and objectives of Parkinson’s UK.

Time commitment: 0.5 days per week (1 programmed activity) to be worked flexibly across the month.

Remuneration: monthly rate based on skills and experience.

Term of consultancy services: 3 years from date of appointment, with an option to extend for a further 3 years. You can then re-apply for the role if you wish.

Governance Administrator

Contract: 12-month Fixed Term Contract

Salary: £25,600 per annum

Location: London-based, hybrid working (minimum 2 days a week in the office)

We are working with a well-respected membership body dedicated to supporting and inspiring surgeons across the UK. Their work spans education, policy, public engagement, and the professional development of future and current surgeons.

The Team:
The successful candidate will be joining a collaborative and high-performing team based in London. This Administrator role provides essential administrative and governance support within the Outreach Team, which plays a key role in engaging aspiring surgeons and supporting their journey from the very beginning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-level administrative support to the team, particularly around governance and committee management.
• Manage logistical arrangements for meetings, events, and conferences, including booking venues, travel, and accommodation.
• Minute-taking for board and committee meetings.
• Support the smooth running of governance processes within the southern region (London–Oxford and surrounding areas), while also contributing to national events and conferences.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams including Marketing and Events.
• Engage with external stakeholders in a professional and organised manner.

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong administrative experience, ideally with a background in committee or board support and governance processes.
• Minute-taking skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
• Experience working in the public, membership, or non-profit sector. 
• A confident communicator with good stakeholder engagement skills.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid setting and contributing to a close-knit, supportive team.
