About the Role

The Finance & Administration Assistant is a newly created role that will provide various parts of the organisation with administrative support, as well as some receptionist duties. This dynamic role will sit within the Finance team and report to the Director of Finance, however it will directly support the areas of Administration, Finance, Fundraising, and three different Service Delivery functions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Administrative tasks

• Manage external communications through post, telephone and email, ensuring information is redirected to the relevant person to be dealt with efficiently and effectively.
• Support service/department managers with necessary purchasing.
•  Keep up to date record of monthly invoicing information for services and liaise between the Senior Finance Officer and the Service Managers to ensure this system is running efficiently and effectively.

Finance related tasks

•  Manage Petty Cash transactions on site, ensuring accurate and up to date records are kept at all times, and perform the bank runs.
• Collect and check monthly debit card and credit card reports with all necessary Purchase Invoices and PO’s from the card holders.
•  Assist the Finance Officer in processing expenditure: checking Purchase Invoices against PO’s, ensuring that all authorisations are in place, and posting expenditure on the QuickBooks database.
• Assist the Senior Finance Officer in sending out statements to overdue Debtors from QuickBooks.

Fundraising related tasks

• Process donation payments received via cheque, cash or PayPal and similar platforms onto the Beacon database.
•  Assist the Fundraising Manager in keeping the Beacon database up to date with donations/grants received, gift aid eligibility and forms, and grant contracts.
• Instigate periodic thank-you letters to donors.

ROLE SUMMARY 

We are looking for a creative, engaging and resourceful Administrator who can support the Youth Engagement Team at Ocean Generation to deliver our brand of Ocean Intelligence to young people across the globe. The successful candidate will be instrumental in our aim to inspire thousands of young people to engage in Ocean action.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

General Admin:

• Supporting with the day-to-day tasks of the Youth Engagement Team, including managing the youth inbox, booking co-working space, sourcing and purchasing materials, generating certificates for participants, etc.

• Managing the team project plans via Monday and team events calendar to ensure the smooth running of all events.

• Building new contact lists for potential partnerships to widen our reach and maintaining current database.

• Supporting the Youth Engagement Lead in the training of Interns

• Improving current processes to be more streamlined and increase team productivity

Marketing and Promotion:

• Designing content on Canva to ensure that all Youth Engagement materials are up-to-date and on brand

• Updating content on websites and platforms when required

• Uploading Youth Engagement content to YouTube

Monitoring and Evaluation:

• Collating partner feedback through Typeform and Mentimeter to inform future developments of all Youth Engagement Programmes

• Assisting in impact tracking

Event Support:

• On the ground support assisting in the running of stalls and youth engagement activities at large scale events across the UK, engaging young people in fun and informative Ocean-themed activities and challenges

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 

Essential:

•Analytical: proven ability to improve systems and processes

Lambourne End Centre are looking to recruit a Fundraising and Marketing Coordinator.  The post holder will be responsible for raising revenue and capital funds primarily from trusts, companies and through organising fundraising events to support the work of the Centre. Role Overview

We are looking for a talented fundraiser to join our small and supportive team. The Fundraising Officer (Trusts & Foundations & Events) is a new role to our charity and will play a key part in supporting our future plans.

UP attracts significant support from individuals, and there is huge potential to grow income from Trusts and Foundations with this increased capacity in the fundraising team.

In this role, with guidance from the Head of Fundraising, you will contribute toward income generation through researching and identifying Trusts and Foundations whose criteria match UP’s work, and developing compelling and inspirational proposals and grant applications. You will maintain the Trusts and Foundations pipeline, ensuring there is a steady stream of applications submitted to maximise funding opportunities, grow income and the number of multi-year grants.

While the primary focus for this role will be to grow income from Trusts & Foundations, you will also support the Head of Fundraising to develop the philanthropy programme. ReachOut is a national mentoring and education charity, rooted in local communities. Working in under-resourced areas, we support young people to grow in character and confidence, sparking change in themselves and society.

• Deliver ReachOut sessions at the same partner school on the same day and time weekly during term time.

• Facilitate engaging ReachOut sessions for the young people attending by ensuring that the voice of young people is listened to and impacts the way the sessions are planned and facilitated.

• Manage and support a group of volunteer mentors; supporting them to build strong rapport with their mentees and helping them to understand how to best adapt their mentoring approach to the young people they are working with.

• Support theyoung people in your session to reach and be confident in their potential by facilitating the creation of good mentee/mentor relationships and by running activities to build the ReachOut Character Strengths.

• Complete monitoring and evaluation activities to ensure the sessions are as impactful as possible and set up strategies with the help of your line manager to help each young person in your group reach their mentoring goal.

As Community Coordinator, your role will focus on the growth and sustainability of the FareShare Go programme, through maximising relationships and adding value to create the best experience for our charity community. Main areas of responsibility

• Sustainability and Compliance: You will work with your Regional Manager and team to identify stores where re-engagement activities are needed to improve charity coverage and charity compliance. You will work to maximise the amount of food collected by charities with lower levels of compliance. You will also be responsible for undertaking food safety reviews with charities to ensure compliance. 
• Retailer Engagement: You will play a key role in maintaining strong retailer relationships across your region. You will take an active role in any meet and greets with retailers, where required. Plus, you will be responsible for maintaining regular contact with the relevant retail stakeholders in your region, sensitively dealing with any issues in a professional manner, as and when they arise. 
• FareShare Network Engagement: We aim to become 'oneFareShare’. These roles are an integral part of our FareShare network and you will partner closely with the Regional Centre(s) in your areas. About this key role

As our specialist worker you will provide peer supervisory support to the team within the wider hospital based services, which includes deputising for the Senior Caseworker, and supporting the Data Coordinator and Senior Caseworker with the collation of information and data for project monitoring purposes. We will also count on you to develop and maintain strong relationships with clinicians and hospital staff, while also identifying onward referral pathways with other services in the hospital such as CAMHS, IDVA, COMPASS and other statutory and voluntary sectors in the community.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will also help to identify and assess young victims of violence and to provide support, advice and advocacy for both them and their families as they plan to be discharged from hospital back into the community. You will produce support and risk management plans based on your assessments and deliver a holistic support service that includes practical help such as social and housing support, accompanying to appointments, ETE options, benefits work, appearing in court, DIY work and cleaning.

What we are looking for

• Personal experience of the criminal justice system, lived experience of the issues facing this client group and/or experience of working with ‘high risk’, vulnerable children, young people and/or families.
• Experience in working as part of a multi-agency team, working together to achieve positive outcomes for young people and establishing links to further the aims of a project.
• Experience of using support plans to enable people to successfully access support services.
• Substantial experience of engaging successfully with ‘challenging’ young people.
• Proven experience of working in a high intensity environment.

Shannon Trust are delighted to be working with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service (HMPPS) to provide peer-led literacy and numeracy programmes across a number of prisons. We now have the opportunity to provide a service at HMP The Mount. Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our literacy and numeracy programme at HMP The Mount, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.

This role will be prison-based. Job Outline:

CFAB is a national charity and the UK branch of the International Social Service network. CFAB’s social work team helps to resolve cases involving child protection, children in care, unaccompanied children, and vulnerable adults when the case crosses international borders. CFAB social workers and caseworkers offer advice and guidance to individuals and local authorities and help to link social work services between the UK and other countries.

The main purpose of this role is to assist with the day to day running of the CFAB Advice Line and manage a caseload of allocated inter-country cases originating from the UK or overseas.

Key responsibilities:

To participate in running the advice line service and responding to enquiries made to CFAB:

• Offer advice to local authority professionals, NGOs and individuals on international child protection issues and casework
• Advise on CFAB referral procedure and fees
• Send follow-up information and documents to enquirers
• Liaise with overseas partners for advice and country-specific information

To manage a caseload of allocated cases originating from the UK or overseas:

• Offer advice and guidance to referrers on good practice in international child protection casework
• Assess cases referred to CFAB, identifying the intervention required and the resources/agency to undertake it
• Prepare information for referral abroad or to an agency in the UK
• Establish, develop and maintain good relationships with clients and/or agencies in the UK and overseas to ensure the progression of cases to resolution
• Ensure smooth implementation of finance systems including invoicing for casework
• Ensure that all cases are dealt with in a manner consistent with CFAB guidelines and good practice standards

To support administration and quality assurance of CFAB’s case management:

• Collate and compile data on country information
• Input new case referrals to electronic case system
• Support the preparation for weekly case allocations meetings
• Monitor incoming email enquiries and referrals
• Liaise with social work database provider on behalf of the Social Work Team
• Update and maintain team databases

To support the development of the Social Work Team and wider CFAB team:

• Participate in social work and CFAB team meetings
• Actively participate in regular supervision meetings with line manager
• Represent CFAB appropriately to external partners
• Contribute to special projects and training delivery as required

To be adaptable and willing to take on new roles and responsibilities as the services of CFAB develop in response to the changing needs
