Our mission includes rescue, rehabilitation, sheltering, sterilisation, and education. Our EU-standard shelters, inspired by British designs, can house up to 700 stray dogs, providing them with complete veterinary care and preparation for rehoming.
We have supported over 48,000 animals and built two dog shelters and one for disabled and senior cats. Additionally, we offer small grants to six other charities in Romania and over 40 shelters in Ukraine. We primarily rehome animals in Switzerland, Sweden, and the UK. By addressing the root causes of animal homelessness through neutering programmes and educational initiatives, we have significantly reduced overpopulation, helping over 40,000 cats and dogs in Romania and Ukraine.

Job Overview:
As the Volunteer Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the growth and impact of ROLDA through volunteer engagement. This is a remote position that requires strategic thinking, people management skills, and a commitment to achieving our charity’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
Volunteer Recruitment and Management:

• Recruit, train, and oversee volunteers to support ROLDA’s various programs and initiatives.
• Develop and maintain a volunteer database using CRM systems to track volunteer activities and engagements.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, building strong relationships with volunteers and stakeholders.
• Provide leadership and necessary resources for successful completion of volunteer initiatives.

Community Awareness and Fundraising:

The VCSE Strategic Lead for Living Well and Wider Wellbeing is an exciting new role that will be focused on ensuring that the VCSE sector has voice and influence so that Salford people are supported to live well, with a focus on mental health and wellbeing.

The role will be aligned with Salford’s Living Well programme and the city’s Mental Health Collaborative. These are the cornerstones of the design and development of innovative solutions to adult mental health provision in the City. As well as the alignment with Living Well, the lead will also focus on creative health, placed-based working, and physical activity.

The Strategic Lead will work across a broad spectrum of VCSE and public sector partners that design, commission, or deliver activities and services that support the Mental Health and Wellbeing of Salfordians. Living Well is an innovative new service created and delivered by a partnership between START, Mind (Salford), Six Degrees, and Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust. A multi-agency team, collaborating to provide positive, humanistic, and safe experiences for those experiencing poor mental health who are unable to meet the threshold for community mental health services.

This post requires an enhanced level DBS check.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate extensive experience of building multi-sectoral partnerships and relationships, as well as having outstanding communication skills. They will also have a clear understanding of the VCSE sector, preferably in Salford, and mental health and wellbeing context across Greater Manchester.

The role

Our key priority at FareShare UK is to increase the amount of surplus food redistributed to the charities and community groups we support across the UK. Food partners (manufacturers, retailers, wholesalers, importers, packers, catering providers, producers and others) are essential  in helping us to achieve this, providing access to food and many other strategic resources. This crucial role will focus on working with our top food partners to maximise the mutual value in the relationship through strategic and structured account management. You will be the account lead for some of the biggest food businesses in the UK and will lead the Food Partnership Team focused on deepening and developing our most established food partnerships, maintaining food and funding from key accounts.

The role will see you lead your team to deliver a tiered and structured strategic account management approach of all top partners, coordinating colleagues across departments, including the Food Team, FareShare Go, Marketing, Fundraising, Network Operations and Volunteering teams. Main Purpose of the Job

The Digital Enabler will work with the District Leadership Team and the Communications Officer to build the digital communications capacity of the District at every level, to facilitate effective participation by all members in the life of the church in the North West District, and to make use of new opportunities for mission and community-building in the digital sphere.

Key Responsibilities

1.Ensure that the District leadership is able to fulfil its responsibilities by ensuring there are reliable digital platforms for online, live-streamed and recorded meetings and events, for electronic dissemination of information (via web, social media and mailings), and audio and video recording and sharing..

The client is currently working with 33 schools and 33 churches in developing discipleship pathways for children and young people in Bolton. One key aspect of this project is the ‘Shades Project’, which focuses on racial justice and faith, supporting schools and churches in developing a culture for all children and young people, regardless of racial background, to thrive and flourish. In response to the exciting growth of the Shades Project, they are looking to appoint a Shades Schools Worker, to support the growing opportunities for Christian discipleship, and to embed the Shades ethos, in primary and secondary schools and parishes in Bolton deanery.

The Shades Schools Worker will work with the Shades team, in primary and secondary schools, delivering Shades Collective Worship and Shades ‘Safe Space’ workshops. The My Name’5 Doddie Foundation has a single, clear vision: a world free of Motor Neuron Disease (MND). The Director of Research is a key position in the organisation that leads our research activities, managing a small team as we invest in a prioritised and focused research portfolio. Working alongside the CEO and senior leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing a research strategy that fits seamlessly with the Foundation’s vision, ensuring we have the expertise and resources required to support our programme and initiatives.

As someone with experience working in a scientific research role, you will have the ability to interpret, analyse and utilise research findings and developments, with a deep understanding of the drug discovery and development landscape. You will be someone who constantly seeks out new research approaches, methodologies and funding models, ensuring that the Foundation remains at the forefront with its innovative practices. Knowledge of the research grants system is essential; we’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running. You will care about the impact of our work, developing an excellent understanding of the MND field and placing those living with MND at the heart of every decision you make, while ensuring all funded projects continue to meet our goals and financial requirements.

Strong communication skills are central to this role. The successful candidate will be comfortable demonstrating our expertise and position in the MND community and communicating developments, insights and critical milestones both internally and externally. Influencing and relationship building will come naturally to you, and you’ll be the kind of person who can work with diverse personalities from a wide variety of professional backgrounds. Playing a key role in championing the Foundation, you will also lead the ambitions of the organisation. Your contribution will be integral to our success.

A great personality and team ethic are really important in this role as you will maximise income for Young Live vs Cancer by coaching our supporters to reach their goals, whilst seeking out new fundraising opportunities for your geographical area. This role sits within the ‘Regional Engagement’ team and we need someone with natural customer service skills who wants to deliver a legendary experience to all of their supporters. Your team of supporters will range from volunteers and individuals, to groups and local corporates.

The North West region (made up of Lancashire, Cheshire, Merseyside & Greater Manchester) is filled with some of our most committed supporters and there is so much opportunity to grow our supporter base across the region. Our Social Workers and Manchester Home from Home support families from across the region and beyond, and building relationships with this team is a must.

The role

Our key priorities at FareShare UK are to grow the food volumes accessible to the charities and community groups we support across the UK. Food partners (manufacturers, retailers, wholesalers, importers, packers, catering providers, producers and others) are pivotal in helping us to meet these priorities, providing access to food and many other strategic resources. This crucial role will focus on working with our top food partners to maximise the mutual value in the relationship through strategic and structured account management. Our ability to meet growing demand and retain our leading position in the food redistribution landscape will be heavily influenced by the success you have in this role.

You will be the direct account lead for some of the biggest food accounts in the UK and you will lead part of the Food Partnership Team for managing and engaging new business relationships to drive and grow food and funding from top food partners.

As part of this role, you will lead the transition to a tiered and structured strategic account management approach of all top partners. Coordinating colleagues in the food team and other FareShare teams: FareShare Go, Marketing, Fundraising, Network Operations and Volunteering teams to ensure that top partners get an excellent service. You will work with the top food partners and other stakeholders to ensure appropriate identification of activities, and monitoring of progress, benefits and evaluation.

You will help identify and overcome the barriers to food redistribution and increase the volumes of foods available to FareShare from food partners and their wider supply chains.

Working with marketing and relevant teams you will develop sales materials to open opportunities for more food and other resources from top partners.

You will lead new business development for FareShare Go and work closely with the FareShare Go operations team to mutually agreed objectives. You will support the team to develop new opportunities to deliver the FareShare Go service to food partners including meeting tenders and developing compelling propositions for partners.

 Main areas of responsibility

Business Development and Relationship Management

• Support the senior Leadership team by implementing and driving FareShare’s strategy to deliver the services that our top food partners want now and in the future.
• Develop sales and tender materials to win new and grow current business for increased food, funds and other strategic resource.
• Keep up to date on trends and key areas of opportunity for top accounts.
• Directly account manage the largest opportunity accounts that we want to engage or grow.
• Develop strategic relationships and account strategies with top food partners to maximise the volumes of surplus food and funding to FareShare through structured joint business planning process.
• Embed a strategic approach to account management and joint business planning processes for top partners to make sure that they have a structured first in class service from FareShare.
• Ensure oversight of all account activities and provides regular updates to, and feedback opportunities for relevant FareShare stakeholder teams including FareShare Go operations, Food Co-ordination, marketing and fundraising.
• Develop key relationships with key personnel within our top food partners and develop a good understanding of their structure and operations to help drive sustainable, successful relationships and engage the relevant internal departments

Business Process Improvement to deliver growth

• Understand the barriers to redistribution of food and lead initiatives to overcome them
• Develop new models of food redistribution which meet market needs and build new channels of supply to FareShare
• Liaise with colleagues in the FareShare Go and Food Co-ordination Operations teams to highlight and resolve any operational issues and support related initiatives as appropriate
• Work with the food partner to develop appropriate systems and business processes which will ensure they are managed in the most environmentally, socially and financially efficient way.

Project and Initiative Management

• Be responsible for managing and communicating key projects and initiatives and securing support from a range of internal stakeholders within the food partners and among the FareShare network.
• Prepare and proactively present the benefits of new initiatives to existing and potential partners despite the challenges to existing embedded processes. 

People and Culture

• Lead, manage and motivate the part of the Food Partner Team focused on engagement and growth, creating a culture of high performance and a positive and supportive working environment.
• Support effective working with colleagues in the wider Food Team, and Network Development and Operations Teams to support an atmosphere of collaboration and trust consistent with FareShare’s values
• Foster positive change, new ways of working and an understanding of best practice
• in using FareShare’s Customer Relationship Management systems.

Person Specification

This role has been benchmarked at a UK salary of GBP 75,000 (pro rata for a part time position). Leaders Plus is an award-winning social enterprise dedicated to supporting leaders with babies and young children to progress in their leadership careers. Our flagship intervention is a 9-month award-winning Fellowship Programme for working parents which leads to promotion and therefore gender equality at the top.

Content Repurposing: Support with writing and adjusting copy that resonates with our audience, focusing on their needs and our mission.

Showcase impact: Support with conducting research and or recording case studies or testimonials. 

Outreach and PR: Ask other organisations and senior leaders to support our work and share what we do. 

Podcast administration: Help produce the podcast, including asset creation e.g. socials, liaising with guests but not editing the podcast.

Team Support: Assist with research and support our communications team in various tasks to further our mission.
