Yorkshire Children’s Charity is seeking a Trusts and Foundations Manager to work with the CEO to develop and grow a fundraising strategy. You will be responsible for all Trusts and Foundations income generation and you will be expected to deliver high-value fundraising proposals.

Core Functions Trusts and Foundations to Include:

· Maintaining and growing the database of trusts and foundations with potential to support Yorkshire Children’s Charities, prospecting funders for new and growing programmes. You will have access to FundsOnline to support prospecting.

· Work with our Board of Trustees to map connections with Trusts & Foundations and establish a plan of introductions/stewardship to be managed by Trustees

· Proactively seek out trusts and foundations who support capital projects.

· Work with the CEO to develop a funding strategy for the Great Yorkshire Build.

· Work closely with the CEO to develop corporate partnerships.

· Manage Trust income in line with donor requirements.

· Identify and build relationships with trusts and foundations through proactive stewardship to secure new donors and retain existing donors.

· Deliver high quality and engaging content, including but not limited to:

o Funding proposals/applications/Case for Support/’One-pager’ pitches

o Impact reports

o Charity award applications

o Corporate fundraising applications

o Speeches and appeals

· Work closely with the Programmes Team to continue developing the impact measurement framework, collecting, analysing and effectively reporting on charitable output and impact.

· Working closely with the Programmes Team to support the development of new programmes from a funding perspective e.g., our new Forest School Programme in development.

· Ensure we report to trusts/foundations and donors on our charitable output.

· Contribute to the charities newsletters, e-campaigns and external communications to ensure supporters know how their donations are being spent.

· Work closely with the CEO to build and develop the charities subscription offering and maintain existing members.

The Hardman Trust supports people on long prison sentences to take their next steps in life. As the Finance Manager your role is to help make this a reality through the effective management of our financial processes. You’ll use your experience from other charity finance roles, along with your accountancy / financial management qualifications, to help ensure our approach to financial management is effective, efficient, up-to-date and in line with charity accounting standards. 

You will be well-organised and motivated to support the wider team in their work. Reporting to the CEO and supporting the Treasurer, you will ensure we have up-to-date information on the financial health of the organisation. You will help to ensure we are maximising the use of restricted funding, and that money is spent in line with donors’ wishes. 

You will lead on ensuring we have robust organisational systems and processes in place for effective financial management. This includes the production and sharing of management accounts, ensuring payroll and invoices are paid on time, devising financial reports, and providing budgetary support. You’ll ensure that accurate records are maintained and that we are reporting our accounts in line with SORP guidelines. 

You will lead on the ongoing development and maintenance of our finance systems, policies and procedures, ensuring they are fit for purpose for a growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as an effective member of the Senior Leadership Team, helping define and deliver organisational strategy and working closely with the CEO/Trustees to impart subject matter expertise.
• Lead the fundraising team to deliver against income targets and maximise new opportunities - developing and implementing an ambitious strategy that allows for supporter growth across regular giving, legacy, trusts and foundations, major donors, corporate and community income streams.
• Take the lead on innovation in the charity's fundraising approach, developing products and offerings whilst considering cost effectiveness and ROI.
• Embed a culture of stewardship across the organisation, ensuring supporters and funding partners are developed with long term support in mind.
• Lead and develop the fundraising team, empowering them to deliver against targets and supporting professional development.

Person Specification

• Experienced senior fundraising leader, with a breadth of skills and expertise developing and implementing successful multi-stream fundraising strategies.
• Focused on supporter journeys and ensuring exceptional stewardship to drive engagement and income across all donor audiences.
• Strong stakeholder management expertise (internal and external) with an ability to build robust relationships and gain support/commitment.
• Evident organisational development skills with the ability to act as an effective member of SLT and contribute to organisational strategy/plans.

The Head of Fundraising & Events will contribute to the growth of upReach through the raising of significant funds; you will have oversight of income generation from various sources including major donors, individuals, trusts & foundations and a portfolio of events. The role will suit innovative individuals with significant experience of fundraising from major donors and at least one of the other specified income streams, and event planning.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Head of Fundraising & Events will support upReach's mission by meeting financial targets, recognising when to make the fundraising ‘ask’ and leading the annual budget process. You will use clear, creative written communication to produce convincing cases for support, represent the charity at relevant networking events, work closely with the upReach Development Board and act as an ambassador for the organisation.

Reporting to the Director of Income Generation and External Engagement you will manage three direct reports and support individuals participating in the Future Charity Leaders Programme (upReach’s graduate scheme). You will work closely with  the CEO, Programmes and Finance teams and colleagues across the income generating and external engagement team.

The core responsibilities include: 

Leadership and strategy 

• Lead income generation to realise financial targets in line with the overarching strategy, personal responsibility for securing 5 and 6 figure gifts. 

• Provide leadership and inspire staff and volunteers to excel and achieve, champion the upReach values and defined Leadership qualities.

• Commit to the annual appraisal process, including deadlines and develop stretching, SMART OKRs (objectives and key results) to meet our strategic goals. 

• Deputise for the Director in their absence and play an active role in the Leadership team.

• Lead the strategic and operational planning process for the functional areas of responsibility and ensure the involvement of relevant stakeholders. 

• Keep abreast of developments, changes in trends and patterns, new techniques and legislation. Take responsibility for own professional development.

• Ensure planned activity is delivered in compliance with relevant charity law, other legislation, best practice and corporate policy.

• Act as a senior sounding board to ensure strategic decisions regarding donors and funders resonate with our objectives and mission.

• Contribute to strategic thinking including risk management and mitigation.

• Collate and present timely monthly management reports for each income stream.

Working with stakeholders (internal and external) 

• Collaborate with colleagues in the income generation and external engagement team to identify and secure all various income generating and profile raising opportunities, ensuring maximum impact and contribution from funders. 

• Lead, champion and model a culture of outstanding donor stewardship and supporter care; including best practice and behaviour. 

• Develop and foster effective relationships with key external contacts at all levels, e.g. donors, supporters, suppliers. 

• Make the fundraising ‘ask’ as and when appropriate, or support others to do so.

• Respond promptly to requests for information and action from supporters.

• Report and disseminate the key issues to emerge from supporter feedback. 

• Manage the complaints procedures for the department and conduct full investigation of all complaints received by the department.

Developing, maintaining systems and procedures 

• Determine and manage the operating systems needed to deliver activity and enable effective donor, supporter and volunteer relationship management. 

• Effectively develop the donor journey.

• Ensure records in the CRM are up to date.

• Conduct analysis of data from across functions responsible for, drawing conclusions, making recommendations to the Director. 

• Ensure the management of systems and processes comply with the organisation’s data protection obligations, charity law and other legal requirements.

People Management and Team Working

• Recruit and lead the Fundraising & Events team, rotatees and volunteers as required.

• Ensure upReach promotes a high performance culture and professional integrity.

• Continue to develop the skills and knowledge of you and your team to ensure you are up-to-date with changing regulation and fundraising best practices.

• Lead and champion the implementation of business improvement and people development initiatives including training and rotations.

Major Donors and Individuals

• Develop and implement fundraising strategies to grow income.

• Nurture relationships with donors including high net worth individuals maintaining the highest level of donor care.

• Research, identify and engage prospective donors to secure 5 and 6 figure gifts.

• Lead the team on increasing donors numbers and gift income.

• Develop a legacies strategy and oversee delivery of awareness campaign.

Events

• Oversee the delivery of a sector leading events portfolio, achieving 5 and 6 figure income targets and building a pipeline of future activity.

• Lead the team on the delivery of multiple and complex events and activities at the same time including the Student Social Mobility Awards (SSMA’s).

• Engage, steward and motivate key stakeholders including the Development Board, potential event committee members and other high value volunteers to grow our network and deliver successful fundraising events.

Trusts, Foundations & Corporates

• Oversight of Trusts, Foundation & Corporate fundraising strategy.

• Work with the Senior Fundraising Manager to identify and build relationships with Companies, Trusts and Foundations which are mission and/or programme aligned.

• Support the acquisition of new, multi year funders and existing donors.

Other

• Regular out of office work may be required in order that the organisation is able to deliver on its commitments to its stakeholders

• Some UK travel will be required from time to time

Stoll is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Communications specialist to fill this new role at the organisation.  It is a great opportunity to join Stoll as we expand our work around communications and marketing both internally and externally. Working directly with the Director of Fundraising and Communications you will be joining an expanding Fundraising and Communications team.

About the role:

• To support Stoll’s brand and communications strategic objectives
• To react to media approaches and act as contact for journalists and media outlets
• To line manage the Fundraising and Communications Assistant
• To raise Stoll’s profile through focussed and agreed communications
• To support and implement a new Communications Strategy for Stoll
• To act as brand manager for all Stoll’s communication output including marketing collateral, social and digital media and service promotional materials.

Prospectus are excited to be working exclusively with JUSTICE to help them recruit for a new Philanthropy manager to join their team. JUSTICE is a human rights and law reform organisation based in the United Kingdom. Over their 67-year history they have transformed the legal landscape for the better, led by evidence, expertise, and a focus on practical solutions. As the only NGO whose work spans the whole of the UK justice system - from family law to housing, criminal justice and more – their work touches the lives of people across the country. Members of Justice are predominantly barristers and solicitors, judges, legal academics, and law students.

This role is offered on a permanent basis paying a salary between £40,000 to £45,000 per annum with flexible hybrid working arrangements at their office in London.

This newly created role will be an integral part of the small but impactful Development Team currently comprised of a Trust and Foundation Fundraiser, an Engagement and Communications Officer and a Development Administrator. The post holder will play a pivotal role in developing and sustaining fundraising relationships, working closely with the Director of Development, Chief Executive and Senior Management Team. They will be responsible for developing their major donor and mid-level giving programme. The post holder will also assist with individual giving campaigns, payroll giving and in-memory giving.

They are looking for someone with demonstrable experience in acquiring and developing five or six figure gifts from high-net-worth individuals. They are looking for a candidate with demonstrable experience of network and relationship mapping to build relationships with donors and secure donations. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to protecting human rights and building a fairer justice system within everyone’s reach.

The Development and Advocacy Department are looking for a Philanthropy Coordinator to join the team. This is a growth role which is testament to the dynamism in our philanthropic endeavours and the continued need to supplement our income through the relationships with our supporters. This is a pivotal role within the team, and you will be able to learn about the full range of activities undertaken by the Philanthropy Managers. You will have a varied workload including correspondence, meticulous diary management, planning for and issuing invitations to events, following up on arrangements and assisting at fundraising events. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled administrator who is looking to grow and develop their career in a sector leading Philanthropy Team.

This role will suit a candidate who is a strong team player, happy to pitch in and support with a variety of tasks as required. You will be able to work both independently and as part of the wider team, showing initiative but also taking direction. You will be a confident communicator who can deal with people at all levels.

We are delighted to be recruiting for a Director to lead Respond, in our final year in our current strategy. This is also a new role, developed within the context of change following an in-principle agreement that Respond will join the Bild Group of charities in 2024. 

Respond is entering its thirty fourth year as a charity and has grown from a small London based charity to a medium sized national charity in recent years.  Our mission is to reduce the impact of trauma in the lives of people with learning disabilities and autistic people, by developing trusting relationships, through psychotherapeutically informed services.  

 As Director you will be the clinical and safeguarding lead across Bild group and will lead Respond to fulfil its mission of reducing the impact of trauma in the lives of people with learning disabilities, autistic people and their families. You will champion our highly regarded trauma informed advocacy and psychotherapy services and ensure appropriate clinical governance processes are in place. You will also work in collaboration with Bild to continue to develop the Respond branded training and consultation service and develop key stakeholder relationships within the sector, enhancing Responds reputation, encouraging partnership working and supporting the diversification of income generation.  

It is an exciting time to join Respond as we join Bild group of charities. We recognise that this is a specialist leadership role for someone who is passionate about reducing the impact of trauma in the lives of autistic people and people with learning disabilities and their families.

An important part of our work at Respond is working in a trauma-informed way. What this means for us is that we hold in mind the impact of trauma at all levels of the organisation, and all staff take part in reflective practice.     

We provide a range of trauma-informed services for children, young people, adults and professionals. These include psychotherapy, advocacy, campaigning, training and other support services. The work we do is generally long term in recognition of research that clients with autism and learning disabilities who have experienced abuse and trauma take longer to process their trauma and to recover.

• Hybrid working model, which means that if you’re full time you make a commitment to be working in the office at least two days a week, with the remainder working from home.  Part time hours are altered accordingly.

Goodman Masson are partnered with an international non-profit, who are looking for a Finance Lead (Projects) to join their team as soon as possible.

Who would you be working for?

This organisation is rapidly growing and has a large portfolio of donors that provide funds for a variety of international projects.

What is the role?

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the main responsibilities of the role are:

• Leading on all internal project reporting, as well as external funder reporting and project audits
• Supporting the project teams with funder proposals & ensuring compliance with regulations across projects
• Managing all processes related to project costs, charge outs & cashflow forecasts
• Line management of one direct report

The role is offering a salary of up to £72,500 and hybrid working - two compulsory days in the office.

What do you need?

• A full accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Post-qualification experience in a similar environment; strong knowledge of project lifecycles, donor reporting etc
• A keen knowledge of, and experience working in the non-profit sector
• Strong Excel skills; the ability to pick up new systems with ease
• Good communication skills; proven experience of interacting with stakeholders at a variety of levels
