We’re seeking an Events Administrator to join our ambitious Support, Research and Influencing team. 

You will play a vital role in our team to ensure health professionals across the UK have a better awareness and understanding of pancreatic cancer and the complex supportive care needs of those affected. You can be proud to know that you’re playing a part in these services which will ultimately improve the standard of support and care received by people affected by pancreatic cancer from their healthcare team. 

Some of the main responsibilities are:

• Ensuring our data is accurate, up to date and well maintained within our database, by collating, preparing, and cleaning up a high-volume of data from our events, online courses, and other engagement activities.
• Provide administration of our virtual educational events and online courses to support the success and smooth delivery, and to increase understanding and awareness of pancreatic cancer.
• Provide admin support to colleagues in Research, Influencing and Devolved Nations for in-person events focused on improving the standard of diagnosis, treatment, and care in pancreatic cancer.

This is a varied and interesting role working with the National Grants Team and colleagues across the Programmes & Partnerships Directorate. We awarded over £2.4m of grants in 2023-24, supporting individuals and families experiencing financial insecurity. This role is about helping the team to operate efficiently, use our resources effectively and facilitating opportunities so we can listen, learn and improve using the insights we gather from our data, partnerships and people with lived experience.

This role requires a proactive, organised, and collaborative person with good attention to detail. We’re looking for someone who is committed to supporting impactful grant-making processes and fostering strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You’ll need to be great at managing a varied and busy workload, capable of working on your own initiative and as part of a team and feel comfortable working flexibly to manage different priorities and timeframes.

We offer flexible working patterns, both in terms of hours and remote working. Please note that all employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 4 days a month.

The Norfolk and Waveney Autism /ADHD Support Service are delighted to be hiring a Family Support Worker to join our supportive and successful team.  Our service is commissioned by Norfolk and Waveney ICB to provide support and advice, resources and signposting to parents/carers of children or young people awaiting assessment for Autism or ADHD. 

We are dedicated, committed, compassionate and extremely proud of our achievements. We have already offered support to thousands of parent/carers with children / young people on the Neurodevelopmental Assessment Pathway.

Your impact – For families awaiting assessment for Autism / ADHD in the area, to offer individual or virtual (via zoom or teams) telephone support to include giving information, advice and guidance, signposting, referring to other agencies as appropriate, attending relevant family support meetings.  This may also include occasional home visits.

Facilitating support groups for families awaiting assessment for ASD/ADHD in the area. Co-production of parent-led groups and parent forums, co-facilitating courses for parents/carers such as the 3 week Plan Bee course.

Working with the co-ordinator to develop relationships with schools, pre-schools, children’s health services and children’s social services and, in particular, NCHC Neurodevelopmental Teams to provide co-ordinated support to families.

Your skills - To join us as Family Support Worker you will have experience of working or volunteering with families in the community.  A relevant qualification in child and family work is desirable.  You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience in using IT to deliver support, record casework, write reports and input data.

You’ll be an effective communicator who excels at building trusting and empowering relationships with individuals. You will be compassionate and empathic, with a good understanding of child development and in particular of Autism and ADHD and the impact this can have on children and their families.  Experience of delivering evidence-based programmes for parents and/or of facilitating group work.  Committed and willing to promote inclusion and equality of opportunity for all.

Homemaker Southwest provides independent advice and support to people who require help in finding, setting up or maintaining accommodation throughout Devon.

As a Money Advice Caseworker, you will be responsible for delivering high quality support services to clients across Devon, by telephone and face-to face, to sustain tenancies and prevent eviction wherever possible, with due regard to Homemaker’s policies and procedures.

You will have experience providing money advice to individuals at risk of homelessness and contemporary knowledge of debt solutions and welfare benefits.

Important qualities include strong communication skills, the ability to work independently and empower others, and the capacity to simplify complex information for clients. While most appointments will be conducted over the phone, some clients will require in-home visits, so the job demands flexibility to travel and work from different locations, necessitating the use of a personal vehicle

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Work with clients

• Ensure that clients receive a prompt and professional service.
• Provide advice and assistance through a range of channels: face-to-face, by phone, or by email. Seeing clients in office and at outreach locations and visiting clients in their own homes as required.
• Receive and respond to referrals from identified agencies in accordance with prevailing guidelines/funding.
• Provide support to clients including preparing accurate financial statements, budgeting advice, progression of debt options, advising on court proceedings for debt recovery and repossessions, and income maximisation to ensure take up of benefits and options such as backdating, overpayment and sanction challenges, appeals and representation if required.
• Keep the client at the centre of every case; check the client’s understanding and communication needs, agree on an action plan with clarity on who is doing what, encourage the client to be involved with actions as appropriate, keep the client informed of progress of case, and ensure cases are concluded in a positive way.
• Communicate and negotiate on clients’ behalf with third parties as appropriate.
• Give support in the sustainment of any tenancy, as appropriate.
• Ensure clients understand the terms of any tenancy or other legal obligation entered, or about to be entered into.
• Take a holistic approach to issues presented and signpost/refer to other services to help ensure that the advice and other support needs of the client are addressed appropriately.
• ·Ensure clients are encouraged to give feedback on the service they receive and take on any comments on ways we could improve the service.

Networking/Partnership

• Work closely with partner agencies
• Promote the services of the organisation to local housing, justice, social welfare, government agencies and other stakeholders.
• Contribute knowledge, expertise and ideas to appropriate local forums.

Administration

• Set up and maintain casework and other admin systems in accordance with organisation specifications.
• Maintain agreed monitoring and outcome information for commissioning agencies and internal management purposes.

Professional development

• Keep up to date with legislation, case law, and good practice in debt and welfare benefits advice, attending appropriate training courses, using online resources and reading relevant publications.
• Attend meetings as required by manager.
• Participate in staff development programmes, supervision and performance management meetings.

General

• Uphold the aims and principles of the organization.

Salary: Starting at £36,477 FTE per annum to £40,699 FTE per annum
Grade 4 point 29-33 - pro-rata for part-time hours
Location: Ideally based in Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex or Greater London (north) with the ability to travel within this region.

The Facilities department manages all Assets and Estates that Family Action own or lease across the whole organisation, overseeing all the 165 services across England, addressing all issues with hardware, networks and buildings.

You will have a strong track record in delivering Facilities Management and a focus on quality, performance, safety, welfare and management controls. Main Responsibilities:
•To supervise the performance of external contractors for minor and major project work.
•To monitor the Family Action contracts, including the payment of invoices and budgets.
•Assisting in the procurement of necessary services such as M&E, security and telecoms.
•Collaborate with relevant stakeholders and suppliers through meetings and KPIs.
•Conduct Health and Safety site audits to a schedule across the central region.

Job Purpose 

The main purpose of this role is to support the international Girl Guide and Girl Scout Movement to improve its meaningful youth participation practice and increase its capacity to be led by girls and young women.

Key Responsibilities 

Mainstream Meaningful Youth Participation

• Work with the Youth Voice Volunteer Team to support capacity building in Member Organisations*, this may include:

• Delivering workshops about meaningful youth participation.

• Creating tailored action plans with Member Organisations.

• Developing resources to support meaningful youth participation projects at national to local level.

• Collaborate with different WAGGGS teams to embed meaningful youth participation into event planning and delivery, for example:

• Ensuring youth participation is happening throughout the planning and delivery process.

• If an event is aimed at young people, supporting the programme to be relevant, exciting, accessible and learner-led for the participants.

• Champion intergenerational leadership** to make sure everyone knows they have a part to play in a Movement led by girls and young women.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Peer Support Worker to join our team in the Camden Crisis Teams. We are looking for both full and part time staff, (working hours to be agreed, however, our service runs Monday to Friday, between the hours of 9am-5pm), on a permanent contract. Reporting directly to the Connections Team Leader.

We are seeking a Therapeutic Practitioner to join our newly established Health Team. This specialist role will enhance our current provision and improve the quality and breadth of mental health support available to young people.
