Events Support Executive
We’re looking for an experienced Events Support Executive to join World Vision, an important charity helping vulnerable children across the world.
Position: Events Support Executive (Maternity Cover)
Location: Milton Keynes (UK-based applicants only)
Hours: Part-time, 18 hours per week. Mandatory working days Tuesdays and Wednesdays with the requirement to work occasional evenings and UK travel for events.
Contract: Fixed-term maternity cover for 12 months
Salary: £15,226 per annum (£30,874 FTE) + good range of benefits

About the role:
As Events Support Executive, you will support the Specialist Giving team’s strategy and programme of annual events delivering memorable, creative and high-quality events to inspire, engage and steward our audiences. From conception to delivery, you will support the Specialist Giving team's event calendar.
Through these events you will support the engagement of current and future supporters through a Gift in their Will, child sponsorship and non-financial engagement, enabling us to generate more income to increase World Vision UK’s ability to transform children’s lives. You will be working closely with colleagues from across the organisation, these events will engage, inspire and create opportunities for incredible engagement and impact to be seen and made.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- To support the Specialist Giving events programme across a variety of mediums from conception to delivery according to requirements, target audience and objectives. Ensure messaging and supporting materials accurately reflect World Vision's mission, vision and identity.
- Be accountable for the delivery of high-quality donor-focused events, from the concept and planning of new events and updating existing events through to their creation and delivery. You will be responsible for working with the team to deliver physical and virtual events which meet targets and our donor/partner needs and strengthen their relationship with the organisation.
- Use of strong communication skills, creativity and content creation which meets each event's objective(s).
- Administer events, that ensure the appropriate audience(s) are selected from our database and event communications meet GDPR best practice and are logged on the CRM. Setting up correspondence and invites as necessary and processing all responses across all mediums.
- Work with managers to ensure an integrated follow-up after the event. Provide detailed and informative event briefings for staff. Conduct learning reviews and event analysis after each event and use these insights to come up with ideas for improvements and new events
- Responsible for adhering to risk and compliance related to hosting events, including but not limited to, ensuring venue compliance and safety policies are adhered to, risk assessments are completed, and events don't pose a risk to staff, attendees and speakers
- Supplier and logistics oversight – including but not limited to research, sourcing and visiting venues, managing and negotiating caterers, vendors and suppliers to deliver high value and engaging events to budget and on time, processing invoices and purchase orders as required. Keeping suppliers accountable for timely delivery within an agreed budget.
About you:
We are looking for an Events Support Executive with clear communication skills with the ability or experience to work with agility. You will be collaborative and able to work with different types of teams and audiences.
Key skills required for this role:
- Experience in delivering fundraising events that successfully raise income against targets Educated to degree level or above (or with extensive relevant workplace experience demonstrating skills and abilities to manage and deliver events.)
- Full UK Driver’s License Experience in managing and delivering high-quality, successful events meeting a variety of audience needs.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with experience in managing and influencing a variety of stakeholders at all levels.

About the role:
We are looking for a Faith Guide Coordinator to provide direction and energy to World Vision UK's organisational commitment to 'living out our Christian faith and calling with boldness and humility", creating a vibrant community around our organisational commitment and building strong relationships both internally and with World Vision International.
Key areas of responsibility include:
· Coordinate and host World Vision UK’s weekly staff devotions.

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Creating, developing and evaluating hyh’s online and social media presence to engage supporters, stakeholders and the wider public and to maximise digital fundraising opportunities. The Digital Communications Assistant will:
Contribute to hyh’s overall Fundraising & Communications strategy as a member of the Fundraising & Communications Team
Improve supporter acquisition and retention through digital channels, building engagement and loyalty.
Source, generate, edit, schedule and post written, visual, audio and video content that drives brand awareness, is shareable and encourages actions to generate income.

Keep abreast of new developments, trends and technologies, identifying and proposing new digital opportunities for hyh.

Duties will include but not be limited to:
Strategy and planning
· Own and deliver a plan to ensure our email campaigns increase engagement, income and email penetration rates
· Develop automated email journeys, working with Fundraising teams to improve the wider supporter journey as well as seeing how events like birthdays and donation anniversaries can increase engagement and loyalty
· Focus on innovation with a willingness experiment and test new trends to increase audience reach and engagement
· Update and plan the email calendar
Delivering and improving campaigns and projects
· Oversee the implementation of a new email programme, providing advice to the Fundraising teams on best practice and how to get best results
· Collaborate with our Fundraising teams to produce email nurturing campaigns for each of our segments and create tactical emails to move supporters up the engagement ladder
· Assist with segmentation and maintaining the health of our database. As we work towards automating our processes, this may include manual handling of data from time to time.
· Drive lead generation to develop an ‘engagement-first’ audience and build a prospect pool for fundraising activity. This includes coming up with creative ideas for lead generation activities, planning and executing campaigns, and optimising points of conversion for email signs ups.
· Play an active role in our move to a new email marketing platform and CRM
· Develop a loyalty programme with exclusive content for highly engaged email subscribers
· Ensure email marketing aligns with other marketing channels and campaigns support the Digital team with compelling digital content for the website, social media and paid advertising channels as needed.
Analysis and reporting
· Build an email testing plan and share learnings with the Digital team, wider department and with International teams
· Analyse the effectiveness of our emails using inbuilt analytics, CRM reporting and tools like Google Analytics
· Share insights, findings and best practice across the department and with International teams to ensure people understand what is working well and how this can improve their areas of work
Training and supporting others
Provide training for fundraising colleagues, helping to develop their digital marketing skills, with a focus on email marketing. Share best practices, insights and advice with fundraising teams, being a source of support for them with their email marketing activities in the UK and our smaller affiliates.

Purpose of the Role
As a Senior Regional Lead, you will play a vital role in supporting Local Authorities and housing providers in achieving DAHA accreditation. You will lead a team of Regional Leads, providing supervision and support to ensure their success, while also developing partnerships and promoting innovative housing responses to domestic abuse. This role is key to the delivery of DAHA’s strategic goals and will give you the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of domestic abuse survivors across the housing sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and guidance to up to four Regional Leads, helping them achieve their goals and maintain high levels of engagement.
