Main purpose of role
We are looking for a professional with at least 5 years’ experience in membership management, stakeholder engagement and events to lead our outreach and engagement activities for the Parkinson’s community across Europe.

Key tasks

• Strategic membership activities including:
  • Management of the Parkinson’s Europe Membership Steering Group
  • Leading Parkinson’s Europe membership recruitment and diversification
  • Reviewing and expanding Parkinson’s Europe membership benefits
  • Leading the development, delivery and analysis of the biannual Parkinson’s Europe members survey
  • Supporting the Parkinson’s Europe Member Liaison Lead with membership communications
• Outreach and engagement activities including:
  • Partnership support activities with relevant NGOs and institutions – for example, European Federation of Neurological Associations (EFNA), The European Patients’ Academy on Therapeutic Innovation (EUPATI), and the European Patients’ Forum (EPF)
  • Engagement with other associations related to Parkinson’s that do not currently fit in our formal membership
  • Supporting the second phase development of Parkinson’s Europe’s newly launched Engagement Network
• Development of a new knowledge building programme for Parkinson’s Europe Member Organisations (which is a key feature of our new strategy for 2025 and beyond). This will involve:
  • Identification of members’ needs and priorities
  • Planning and delivering a structured programme of webinars, workshops and resources to support the identified needs and priorities. This will include:
    • Identifying and building relationships with speakers and facilitators with the help of the Parkinson’s Europe team
    • Identifying existing resources to help deliver the programme
    • Leading the development of new resources and tools for members
• Event management
  • Lead the development and delivery of a biannual Parkinson’s European Forum
  • Plan and lead the twice-yearly members meeting
  • Support the Director General and Board Secretary at the AGM as required
• Supervision of the Member Liaison Lead

As the Risk and Internal Audit Manager, you will play a pivotal role in fortifying our organisation by overseeing both risk management and internal audit operations. You will develop and manage CARE International UK’s risk management framework, maintain and update the organisation’s risk register, and provide regular risk management reports. You will also develop and execute an annual internal audit plan, ensuring compliance with recognised auditing standards. Your role involves coordinating with various CARE entities and overseeing specialist audits in areas like cybersecurity and GDPR. International travel will be required to support CARE International UK funded programmes.

A big focus of the role is prioritisation and planning, so you’ll support the Director of Programmes, Head of Impact & Effectiveness and wider team to prioritise, forward plan, manage diaries and prepare for meetings. Global Fishing Watch (GFW) is an international, nonprofit organization committed to advancing ocean governance through increased transparency. We create and publicly share knowledge about human activity at sea to enable fair and sustainable use of our ocean. Founded in 2015 through a collaboration between Oceana, SkyTruth, and Google, Global Fishing Watch became an independent nonprofit organization in June 2017. Using cutting-edge technology, we create and publicly share map visualizations, data and analysis tools to enable scientific research and drive a transformation in how we manage our ocean. Our major focus is on commercial fishing because it is the most widespread human activity at sea, the most impactful on ocean health, and the most crucial for global livelihoods and food security. About the Role:
We are hiring a Fundraising Grants and Reporting Manager at an exciting time for the organization. In April 2023, Global Fishing Watch secured a five-year, US$60 million commitment through The Audacious Project to leverage our data and technology to revolutionize ocean management. This new role will play a foundational part in establishing the grant management process at Global Fishing Watch and shaping its future. You will play a key role in developing and implementing the grant management system and processes, ensuring our fundraising team can deliver first class stewardship and relationship management. Reporting to the Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships, the prime responsibilities of this position are to support fundraising and consequently program teams in ensuring compliant, timely and high-quality donor reporting and grant management and knowledge management. Qualified candidates will bring proven experience coordinating with team members to gather necessary information and translate it into reports that effectively engage and inspire funders. They will need to meticulously review reports to identify gaps and follow up for clarifications as needed. The role requires strong written and oral communications skills, the ability to build and maintain new relationships, and a talent for enhancing existing partnerships.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Grant management:

• Manage the tracking, preparation and submission of funder reports, including working with the project and finance teams to produce timely and accurate narrative and financial reports.
• Improve processes and support coordination of grant opening, review  and closing meetings, working with teams in the UK and globally to ensure clear assignment and understanding of responsibilities in relation to compliance, management and deadlines.
• Work with finance, compliance and program teams to ensure that all grant-funded projects comply with the terms and conditions set by funders.
• Work with program and finance teams to ensure effective systems and processes are in place for grant management and compliance, such as for tracking grant timelines, deliverables, and outcomes.
• Establish and maintain close working relationships with colleagues and partners to gather necessary insights and information for donor reports, translating program activities and learning into clear funding reports that effectively communicate our impact to our funders and supporters.
• Contribute to Global Fishing Watch’s annual report as needed, and provide updates to the communications team on relevant website copy, specifically the donor information on the financials web page.
• Ensure all grant documentation is stored and updated in relevant systems.
• Conduct regular meetings with program and finance teams to review grant performance and expenditure.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with grant compliance, such as underperformance, budget overspend/underspend, or missed deadlines.
• Work with finance and program teams to develop contingency plans for addressing challenges that may arise during the grant lifecycle.
• Share ideas, information and learning to contribute to grant management systems and processes, and to support broader learning with partners and donors.
• Support, advise and coach the Global Fishing Watch team to successfully contribute to grant management efforts.

Required Skills & Experience

• A minimum of four years of progressively responsible administrative, finance, operations, project management or related experience.
• Grant administration experience, including demonstrated expertise in managing complex, multi-year grants with multiple reporting and compliance requirements.
• Experience with financial management and budgeting, particularly in the context of grant-funded projects.
• Experience of effective and values-based partnership work between international and local organizations and communities.
• Excellent oral communication, writing and editing skills. Demonstrated experience/training in report writing and expressing complex concepts and issues in a clear, effective manner for a broad range of audiences

The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial manager with a high level of data literacy. We are looking for someone strategic, highly organised and a strong people and team manager. They will be confident at communicating data in a variety of ways to a large range of audiences, identifying key take-aways and the broader implications of the findings on our clients and programming. They will also be able to train others in key data analysis and communication skills.

We're looking for a Proposition Development Manager to join a newly created team within our Fundraising directorate. The team have been created to work alongside the high value teams (Philanthropy and Partnerships) to provide them with the highest quality donor research, funding propositions and stewardship materials required to create transformative partnerships with businesses, high net worth individuals, trusts and foundations. 

As the Proposition Development Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in this team, supporting our ambitious high value fundraising strategy and the development of Prostate Cancer UK’s first Major Appeal. You'll take the lead in developing the Appeal case for support, and crafting funding propositions. Your expertise will be central in guiding our high-value teams on creating impactful funding proposals, supported by consistent access to organisational priorities and plans. You'll also establish an 'Information Bank' of materials to support fundraising efforts. Refugee Council is a leading charity supporting refugees and people seeking asylum to rebuild their lives in safety here in the UK.  Providing practical, hands on support, their award winning services include welcoming refugees into local communities across the country, providing specialist children’s services – with a particular focus on refugee children who arrive here alone, helping people to navigate the asylum system, and supporting people to access housing and employment.  Evidence from services is then used to also inform the charity’s leading policy and influencing work, including campaigning for a fairer and kinder refugee protection system.  The charity works with more than 14,000 men, women and children every year.

As a result of growing need and increasing interest in Refugee Council’s work, the charity has ambitious plans to make a leap in impact, with investment in their Philanthropy Team to raise increased funds from key high value audiences.

This role will be a critical part of the Philanthropy & Partnerships management team and represents a brilliant opportunity to support the growth and development of our major donor, trust and statutory and corporate partnerships portfolios.

Working with key stakeholders from across the organisation, the postholder will play a lead role in the development and delivery of an ambitious stewardship and events programme, offering a range of activities to engage and inspire supporters, and ensure that they are connected to, and inspired by, the work of Refugee Council.

CAFOD is seeking a Governance Manager to temporarily support our Leadership & Governance team. Reporting directly to CAFOD’s Director and managing the Leadership & Governance Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring effective governance, strategic leadership, and strong Trustee relations during this interim period. Key Responsibilities

During the period of cover, some of the key responsibilities include:  

Governance & Strategic Leadership 

• Providing oversight of CAFOD’s Governance work & assisting in the further development and funding of CAFOD’s governance. 

• Identify emerging trends in governance and ensure that learning is reflected in CAFOD’s work and proposals.
