Fundraiser (Community & Events) is an important link between the hospital charity and the local community. The post holder will be responsible for managing community events and being an active member of the charity team in securing financial support from these areas of fundraising.

The purpose of this role is to ensure that fundraising campaigns and events are in place that will have high profile and will generate funds to agreed targets. The post holder must be inventive and highly organised in order to initiate and then deliver highly successful events. Working closely with groups and individuals, the ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality, good at motivating others and self-confident.

You will also work closely to design, deliver and evaluate a community events fundraising programme in partnership with the wider charity team, which maximises the potential of community groups, associations, corporates and clubs.

Working across a thriving Brighton community you will help establish and grow the charity sub brands delivering fundraising activity in a number of exciting fields including music, comedy and art.

We have an exciting role as a Fundraising Officer to join our small but ambitious fundraising team.  We are embarking on a significant capital redevelopment, and will raise income through trusts and foundations, individual donations and corporate supporters.

You will be responsible for supporting the Head of Fundraising with timely communications to both supporters and prospective donors, researching potential fundraising opportunities, maintaining the CRM system and reconciling fundraising accounts.

You will be involved in the creation of fundraising campaigns and be required to liaise with team members from across the organisation to gather information develop these campaigns.

Role Summary

The Challenge Events Officer will work closely with the Senior Community and Challenge Events Manager (SCCEM) and Engagement Assistant (EA) to deliver significant elements of the charity’s fundraising strategy, in particular our challenge events. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced manager for a prestigious new role in our garden at the National Spinal Injuries Centre at Stoke Mandeville. 

Horatio’s Garden is a nationwide charity creating and nurturing beautifully designed gardens in NHS’s spinal injury centres. The Patient Experience Manager will be the figure head/ambassador for the garden. 

You will be responsible for the smooth running of a thriving, vibrant garden ensuring the patient and their family are appropriately supported throughout their time in Stoke Mandeville. 

This role requires you to manage a large established team of volunteers and work closely with the Gardener who maintains the horticultural standard of the garden and delivers therapeutic horticulture sessions. 

You will be managed by the national Patient Experience Lead, as well as developing and maintaining relationships with clinical and non-clinical NHS staff, corporate sponsors, funders, the Fundraising team, and the Events Programme Manager. 

The fully accessible garden has been beautifully designed and maintained, and the role of the garden needs to reflect an appropriate environment for patients and their families at all stages of their recovery.  From the initial welcome, to ensuring the contact and relationship is consistent with activities to suit their needs.

You will be responsible for developing and delivering social activities, supported by the charity’s Events Programme Manager and in collaboration with the wider Stoke Mandeville team. These activities will mainly need to be held on a weekend afternoon which is a critical time in the garden when most patients are available and often have friends and family to visit. Currently the Arts programme includes crafts, quizzes, seasonal celebrations with lunches, in addition sessional creative experts also deliver glass fusing workshops, felting, printing, talks, painting, ceramic workshop, live music performances.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident, proactive individual who is efficient, well organised and has outstanding communication and relationship building skills. You will need to be adaptable and friendly and confident working with a wide range of people including people with spinal injuries and their families, NHS staff, volunteers and many different teams within the charity.

Key Responsibilities include:

· Develop relationships with patients and families to ensure the best experience for them in the garden at every stage of their rehabilitation

· Develop and maintain productive and collaborative relationships with NHS clinical teams and voluntary services

· Work with the newly appointed Impact Manager to monitor patient experience and the impact of the garden

· Manage the team of volunteers to ensure the smooth running of the garden with patient experience at its core

· Maintain a consistent social and arts activity programme appropriate for the current patient group, liaising with the Events Programme Manager and managing the volunteers accordingly

· Host corporate sponsor events and fundraising opportunities

· Work with fundraising managers and volunteers to develop opportunities to generate income in the garden through friends, corporate friends and third-party fundraising

· Ensure the garden is managed to allow the correct balance is in place to benefit both patients and external parties (major donors, trusts, corporate groups and other visitors)

· Represent the garden and charity at key events and speaking opportunities

· Work closely with the communications team to develop and ensure clear messaging in and outside the garden

Job title: Philanthropy Manager

We are seeking our first Philanthropy Manager to cultivate, solicit and steward a portfolio of donors and prospective donors (including alumni and other individuals, companies and charities) to generate major gifts £10,000 - £1 million+ for the Trust.

The successful candidate will join a small Executive Team of two (Director and Stewardship Officer) and work closely with our newly appointed Chair (from 6 July 2025), the Board of Trustees, and members of its sub-committee for Alumni Relations, Fundraising and Communications.

The first Kennedy Scholars departed for Harvard and MIT in 1966. In 2026 we will celebrate the 60th anniversary of this significant milestone in our history. The impact of this life-changing opportunity over the past 60 years will feature strongly in our new fundraising campaign.

Reporting to: Director of the Kennedy Memorial Trust (KMT)

Hours: Full-time 37.5 hours per week. We understand that full-time hours may not suit all candidates, so there is some flexibility in the hours and work schedule.

Compensation: Salary £45,000 FTE, 30 days holiday plus bank hols (FTE) and 8% employer pension contribution after 3 months’ service

Location: Home-based but within easy access to London. The post holder can work on a hybrid basis, combining predominately home-working with regular in-person meetings in London. Travel from home to London for work and meetings will be paid in accordance with any expenses policies in force at the time.

The role involves some travel, in addition to the London working requirement, for meetings/events with donors, scholars, trustees and other stakeholders – ie monthly within the UK and twice a year to the US. There will also be occasional evening and weekend commitments.

The role

1. Fundraising activity

Contribute to the development of the new fundraising strategy.

Research, identify and pursue fundraising opportunities that meet the Trust’s strategic objectives.

Lead one-on-one and small group meetings with Trustees and key supporters to identify, develop and deliver fundraising objectives.

Assist Trustees in developing and maintaining their portfolios of prospects and donors.

Write compelling fundraising proposals and applications for funding, including bespoke proposals tailored to specific individuals.

Initiate and nurture relationships with potential high-level donors aiming to establish a strong and long-term philanthropic relationship

Lead one-on-one and small group meetings with high-level donors and potential donors and ask them for significant financial contributions.

2. Processes and Procedures

Ensure the Trust is compliant with all relevant aspects of the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Fundraising Practice and the Charity Commission.

Maintain a professional approach to handling sensitive and confidential information, complying with privacy and data protection legislation.

Maintain the Trust’s suite of policies and procedures related to fundraising and donor engagement.

Actively engage in external networks to identify new prospective donors.

Contribute to monthly and quarterly fundraising performance reports and present progress to the trustee board and its committe

Accurately record donor interactions in the CRM database and contribute to improving data management and analysis processes.

Regularly update the Executive team on fundraising activities and seek their input and support as needed.

Work closely with the Stewardship Officer to develop and implement solicitation and stewardship plans for donors and prospects.

Participate in team decision-making by suggesting creative solutions and engaging in strategic planning discussions.

Experience and education required:

Experience of professional fundraising, with a track record of successfully securing major (£10k+) gifts from individuals, Foundations and businesses.

Educated to degree level

Experience of delivering a fundraising programme and pipeline to meet financial targets.

Experience identifying, negotiating and managing resource requirements in support of fundraising activity

Experience of having worked with high-level donors

Demonstrable understanding of higher education in UK and US

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this. 

Their vision is to find a cure for all types of brain tumours. To achieve their mission, they are looking for a Community Fundraiser who will proactively engage with supporters, community groups and volunteers across the West Midlands to join their team of 12 Community Fundraisers across the UK.

The Community Fundraiser (West Midlands) is responsible for providing support and guidance to fundraisers within their communities to achieve their ambitions and ultimately raise vital funds for Brain Tumour Research. This is achieved through a wide variety of activities such as helping supporters to make the most of their own fundraising, engaging participants with externally organised events such as the Great Birmingham Run, and encouraging communities to get involved in events organised by Brain Tumour Research such as Wear a Hat Day and Walk for Hope. Length and Salary

This is a full-time role, on a permanent contract. The annual salary is £42,193 full-time per annum, less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance.

Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we ask staff to work two days per week from the London office and the rest of the week from home. However, we are open to discussions on a flexible working arrangement on a case-by-case basis. This is a role that may require travel and work outside of core office hours from time to time, for example for donor events.

The Senior Digital Marketing Manager will lead the development and implementation of Response’s social media strategies, overseeing both paid and organic content to raise awareness of the organisation’s work, connect with key stakeholders, and drive digital fundraising. As part of a small, dynamic team of five, including the Associate Director of Fundraising, Communications and Marketing, and two Communications and Digital Marketing Officers, and a PR consultant the postholder will play a central role in enhancing our digital presence, delivering results-focused campaigns, and supporting the broader communications and fundraising goals of Response.

Lead the planning, implementation, and optimisation of paid and organic social media campaigns.

Work collaboratively to identify target audiences and create tailored, impactful content to engage potential donors, key stakeholders, including commissioners, potential new employees and those who may benefit from our services.

Oversee  the creation of compelling, high-quality content that demonstrates the impact of Response’s work, using lived experience stories, case studies, and data-driven insights.

Oversee the management of all social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and others, ensuring consistency with brand messaging.

Identify and develop opportunities to grow digital fundraising, leveraging paid social media campaigns, crowdfunding, and other tools.

Educated to degree-Level or CRM or equivalent experience.

Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, tools, and trends, including paid social, SEO, and email marketing best practices.

Awareness of public relations principles and best practices in digital communications.

Experience managing social media platforms, including community management and performance optimisation.

Experience managing the design and production of marketing materials, with proficiency in tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to write persuasively for diverse audiences.

Spitalfields Crypt Trust (SCT) is an East London charity, providing practical help, support and training to people affected by homelessness and addiction. We are passionate about the people and communities we support and embrace creative, innovative and inclusive ways of working.

We provide a residential addictions treatment programme, supported housing, training and development opportunities and a highly effective Housing First service. Our nine charity shops and two social enterprises put us at the heart of diverse East London communities.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your experience and creativity to deliver an exciting digital, marketing and communications plan, including

Digital Marketing

Create engaging brand social media content and publishing it across our channels, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok.

Support services, fundraising and retail marketing on social media, including implementing paid-for advertising.

Create and edit photography and video content for our website and social media channels

Create and send out marketing emails using MailChimp and report on their performance.

Monitor responses on our social media channels, ensuring messages and comments are responded to in a timely manner.

Support our WordPress website, including updating pages and uploading posts and stories, and look for opportunities for search engine optimisation.

Monitor the performance of our WordPress website and ensure that senior managers are alerted to any issues that arise.

Communications

Write case studies, blogs and other written content, working with colleagues across the organisation.

Design posters, flyers, brochures and reports using Canva, ensuring they are within the SCT brand.

Ensure any materials adhere to SCT brand guidelines.

Retail marketing

Work in collaboration with charity retail colleagues to:

Develop collateral for SCT Shops and Social Enterprises, ensuring materials are high quality and within the SCT brand.

Ensure there is a regular flow of compelling social media content that creates customer loyalty and reaches new customers.

Other duties

Work with the Director of Fundraising, Marketing and Communications and colleagues across SCT on the implementation of our 60th anniversary campaign.

Maintain a marketing calendar and project plans using ASANA.

Work with the Director of Fundraising, Marketing and Communications on PR activities, engaging with journalists and the media, influencers and other stakeholders.

Work in collaboration with colleagues in SCT services teams.

·Attend events and be willing to occasionally work outside working hours (TOIL will be given).

·Actively keep up to date with new developments in marketing and communications.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

 Essential

Digital Marketing

A minimum of two years managing social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Linked in.

A good understanding of GDPR legislation and how it relates to digital marketing.

Demonstratable experience of running a WordPress website, planning and uploading content and monitoring its performance

A demonstratable understanding of SEO and Google ads.

Demonstrable experience of managing paid for digital ads via Meta business manager.

Experience of producing creative and impactful social media content, including photography, video and audio materials.

Experience of creating compelling and creative marketing emails using e-mail marketing software such as Mail Chimp.

Experience of working with colleagues to develop their content creation skills and improve their understanding of social media.

Communications and marketing

A love of storytelling and excellent written communication skills, with the ability to write accurate copy for different audiences

Desireable

Proven experience of working within brand guidelines and advising others on brand execution.

Experience using CANVA to produce marketing materials in-house.

Demonstratable experience of managing a marketing calendar and leading planning meetings with internal stakeholders.

Experience in using ASANA or similar project management software.

Experience of working in a charity and working closely with fundraisers to promote their campaigns and activities.
