Job Information

We have received funding from The National Lottery Community Fund to deliver an exciting new programme, aiming to improve the experience and continuity of hospice care for young people with life-limiting conditions transitioning from children's to adult services.

You will provide clinical leadership of this UK-wide programme, empowering young people, hospices and system partners to overcome the inequities of care experienced by patients and families throughout this transition. 

You will become a crucial part of the Programmes Directorate at Hospice UK. This team is responsible for areas of real relevance and importance to our hospices’ membership, including: commissioning support; data, research and evidence; clinical and non-clinical projects; learning platforms: sharing good practice; and a well-regarded and commercially successful portfolio of conferences, including our flagship national conference.

You will bring the clinical leadership needed to deliver this exciting new programme. You will lead our young person’s forum and provide invaluable mentorship to hospices. Supported throughout by our Senior Programme Manager and Team Administrator, you will further develop our Transition Community of Practice and help us collate and share programme data across the sector. You will lead on partnerships and strategic relationships, with Together for Short Lives and other decision-makers across our sector. When representing Hospice UK and our programme externally, you will offer clinical expertise leadership within the field of Transition. 

You will have senior palliative care experience, working in the field of transition. You will have led clinical programmes across systems and/or regions, and experience supporting organisations with Quality Improvement projects. You will be an excellent and influential communicator, who embraces working with data while maintaining a strategic overview.

This is a full time permanent role which will be primarily office based.

The Role:

As an IT Service Local Delivery Analyst you'll be providing local IT systems support, training and advice to SNG colleagues and will be responsible for the development, maintenance and operation of the organisation's devices, infrastructure and applications.

You'll ensure that our IT support tickets are resolved as efficiently and effectively as possible. Working within operating & service level agreements (SLA) and utilise service desk tools (ITSM system, knowledge system, monitoring etc) to ensure all interactions are accurately logged, prioritised, categorised and resolved. 

This role will provide support for end user computing across all SNG locations. Acting as an escalation point for the central IT service delivery team as well as providing local hands-on support for the wider CIO teams. 

Due to the travel involved you will need to hold a full and valid UK Driving Licence and have your own vehicle. 

What we need from you:

As an IT Service Local Delivery Analyst you'll need to have a high level of customer focus and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors and partnering agencies.

You will need experience of working on an IT Service Desk or in a Technical team and be able to communicate with our customers in person, by telephone, webchat email or digital assistant. 

A Service Desk/Customer Service oriented certificate such as ITIL v3 or v4 Practitioner would be an advantage. 

We are looking for:

• Experience of troubleshooting and demonstrable problem-solving techniques. 
• A sound understanding of hardware knowledge, especially with PCs, printers and other standard desktop/peripheral equipment and AV equipment. 
• Ability to be office based and travel between SNG sites as needed

The Role

We are looking for a proactive, committed and skilled Governance Officer to join the team.

In this role you will provide a comprehensive, high quality secretariat service, particularly to the Bishop’s Council, which acts as the Board of Directors of the Diocesan Board of Finance (income £30M, assets £520m, over 100 staff) and oversees a wide range of activity.

The Diocese is one of the largest in the Church of England covering the three counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, and Oxfordshire with a thousand parishes, church schools and chaplaincies.  It is active in environmental action, addressing poverty and inequality, supporting children and youth work and much, much more.

You will ensure that meetings are scheduled and organised, agendas created, minutes recorded, and action lists monitored; elections organised and appointments made; governance advice given; relevant policies are in place and statutory registers are maintained.  You will have the opportunity to be in the room when most of the organisation’s key decisions are taken. You will be required to work occasional evenings (1 each in May and December) and Saturdays (1 each in March, June and November), with time off in lieu.

About You

You do not need to be a practising Christian or have a faith to work here - around 50% of our staff are not practising Christians but are comfortable with the Christian ethos that underpins this work. However, all staff do have a desire to make a difference.

As a senior member of the Public and Political Engagement team, the Advocacy and Engagement Manager will work closely with our Research and Operations teams, and partners across Africa, Asia and South America. In particular, they will play a key role in our Fair Water Footprints Campaign and the wider delivery of the Glasgow Declaration for Fair Water Footprints. With new funding from the UK Government’s Just Transitions for Water Security Programme, these game changing initiatives seek to end the abuse of water in our supply chains, and to establish responsible water stewardship as the global business norm by 2030 so that trade and business accelerate, rather than undermine, shared water security.  This will be achieved through mobilising the power of scientific evidence and citizen voices to trigger change in government policies, corporate practices, financial disclosure, and political and public expectations.  The choreography and delivery of this change will be a core focus of the successful candidate’s work.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Dementia UK’s IT team as our IT Vendor and Service Integration Manager. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the end-to-end vendor management process, ensuring seamless integration of external services with our internal IT operations.

Acting as the primary liaison between outsourced service providers and internal IT teams, you will ensure alignment with organisational objectives, maintain service quality, and optimise the value derived from vendor relationships. You will also be responsible for ensuring that contract obligations are consistently met.

You will coordinate across IT Operations, IT Applications/Data, and directorate technology-dependent teams to resolve issues that span multiple domains, ensuring the smooth integration of services between internal and external providers. A key aspect of the role will involve monitoring and reporting on vendor performance against SLAs and KPIs, providing regular comprehensive updates to the Deputy Director of IT. In addition, you will oversee contract management for all outsourced IT services, negotiating amendments and renewals to secure the best value for the organisation.

To succeed in this role, you will have experience with IT service management frameworks such as ITIL, along with a strong background in IT supplier and budget management. You will bring demonstrable experience in managing complex outsourcing relationships, coupled with strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. You will also have a strong understanding of IT service management principles and practices, along with substantial experience in IT vendor management or service delivery roles.

About the role 

As our Health Access & Outreach Coordinator, you’ll be at the forefront of a project designed to improve healthcare accessibility for rough sleepers and those struggling with health inequalities. You will:

• Lead outreach across multiple boroughs, engaging rough sleepers and connecting them to essential services.
• Work with peer health mentors to foster trust and improve service engagement.
• Build strong partnerships with NHS providers, housing services, and harm reduction teams.
• Help individuals navigate healthcare systems, including GP registration, mental health referrals, and substance misuse treatment.
• Organise and expand our award-winning Health & Wellness Fairs, bringing crucial healthcare services to those who need them most.
• Reduce A&E admissions by embedding preventative care measures and early intervention strategies.

We are seeking someone with:

• Experience developing and managing health & wellbeing initiatives, particularly within primary care or homelessness services.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and compassionate approach.

We are looking for a dedicated Advocacy Campaigns Manager to join our Advocacy team within Action Against Hunger UK's Operations department.  This is a great time to join our team as we broaden the reach of our public advocacy campaigns to a wider audience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead on developing and delivering our advocacy campaigns strategy, and also supporting with policy and parliamentary work. Our advocacy and campaigns focus on tackling the key drivers of hunger – conflict, climate change, poverty and inequality – and promoting improved response.

On the campaigns front, this role means spending around three days on designing and delivering creative and engaging online campaign actions, in collaboration with skilled colleagues across teams, organizing campaign events and building the engagement of chef and food industry supporters in our advocacy. This also requires having a good understanding of the political landscape and opportunities and distilling policy asks into engaging public campaign messaging.

You will also get to spend around two days per week supporting with policy work, such as drafting position papers or letters and working closely with our Head of Advocacy and Parliamentary Relations Manager on MP engagement. Age UK Sutton is a local, independent charity with a mission to make Sutton a more Age Friendly Place. We deliver a mixture of services for those 50+, their families and carers, run a social enterprise and are involved in local influencing and strategy.  The Dementia Hub has been formed from key learning and insight gathered through a year-long pilot period of delivery and the first joint Health & Social Care Dementia Strategy commissioned in Sutton.The service aims to offer a central, single Point of Support in the Borough and enable people with dementia and their carers to live well and maintain their independence for as long as possible.  

We are looking for a Team Leader to provide supervision and support to a team of Dementia Advisers and service volunteers and to co-ordinate the Dementia Hub.  This new role will work alongside a passionate team to develop a growing service.

Age UK Sutton are looking for a supportive and person-centered individual to: 

• Team lead five part-time Dementia Advisers and service volunteers; 

• Provide a seamless service that offers consistent and timely access to information and support, including exploration of client needs and triaging as appropriate; 

• Build relationships with health and social care professionals and work within the Memory Assessment clinic; 

• Carry out skilled record keeping and contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of the service; and 

• Promote the service within all communities to ensure the service is accessed by individuals across the Borough.
