We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Direct Marketing and Fundraising Officer to join our Public Fundraising team. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our fundraising activities, particularly during appeals, where your coordination skills will be crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
Appeal Coordination:
- Assist the Direct Marketing Manager - Acquisition in keeping member agency fundraising directors and key suppliers up to date in the run-up to and during appeals.
- Update the fundraising and marketing team budget tracker, ensuring accurate financial tracking throughout the appeal process.
- Support the setup and management of Appeal Toolkits and Appeal Hubs, providing essential assets to staff, member agencies, and suppliers.
- Assist with the coordination and delivery of creative projects across all direct marketing channels, ensuring timely and effective execution.
- Work with the team to gather and report appeal results, providing updates to the Director of Fundraising and Marketing, Executive Team, and CEO’s office.
Ongoing Responsibilities:
- Organize and manage review meetings with suppliers’ post-appeal, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
- Monitor and update core and appeal budgets, processing invoices and ensuring financial accuracy.
- Support the Director of Fundraising and Marketing in organizing and managing the Fundraising Director’s Group meetings, including diary coordination, preparing presentations, and taking minutes.
- Provide general administrative support to the Fundraising and Marketing team, including setting up monthly team meetings, organizing agendas, and coordinating away days.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in project coordination and administrative support, ideally within a fundraising or marketing environment.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience with budget tracking and financial processes.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to work well within a team.

Fundraising is still a relatively new activity for DFN Project SEARCH and this role presents the opportunity to play a key part in its expansion to support the further growth of the charity and enable young adults with a learning disability to lead healthier, happier, and more independent lives.
This role will support the Director of Development in implementing DFN Project SEARCH’s fundraising strategy. To date the strategy has focused on securing a small number of larger gifts from philanthropic sources, such as trusts and foundations. We are now evolving the strategy to include growing income from high-net-worth individuals, companies, and individual giving.
This role will lead on the development and implementation of the strategy to secure income from high-net-worth individuals (between five and potentially seven figures) and will also work with the Director of Development and the Development Officer on securing income from, and stewarding, trusts, foundations, and statutory funders. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team there is also the opportunity to input to the wider strategy and development of the charity and support the Director of Development in their role as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.

The Association of Directors of Public Health (ADPH) is a Charity and Company Limited by guarantee and is the representative body for Directors of Public Health (DPH) in the UK.
It seeks to improve and protect the health of the population through collating and presenting the views of DsPH; advising on public health policy and legislation at a local, regional, national and international level; facilitating a support network for DsPH; and providing opportunities for DsPH to develop professional practice.
The Association has a rich heritage, its origins dating back more than 160 years. It is a collaborative organisation working in partnership with others to maximise the voice for public health.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration, delivery and evaluation of the Association’s events, including membership workshops and masterclasses, and arranging and minuting meetings with members and key stakeholders, all to tight deadlines. They will therefore be required to be pro-active, with exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills, a keen attention to detail, and preferably have experience of working independently in an administrative role.

Supporting the Direct Marketing Manager in delivering growth in income through St John Ambulance’s direct marketing Retention programme via a range of campaigns. You will focus on supporting the Retention strategy which includes using data and insight to deliver across a variety of channels including digital, email, social media, direct mail, telemarketing and SMS.
You will either be able to work in a hybrid way working between home and 2 days per week at our London office or remotely working from home with a requirement to attend our London office for a team anchor day once a month

About You:
Having worked in a third sector direct marketing role previously, you will have experience running effective national and regional campaigns using a variety of fundraising channels including digital, email, social media, direct mail, and telemarketing. With your good organisational and time management skills you’ll be able to meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities under pressure.
You will have knowledge of usability testing, user research methods and conversion rate optimisation as well as an understanding of fundraising regulator guidance, gambling commission compliance and GDPR.
About The Role
- Manage the delivery of all Retention campaigns from concept through to evaluation, using data and insight to drive creative and production, drawing up schedules, and managing the approval processes
- Work collaboratively with data teams to ensure effective use of supporter profiling for delivery across a range of Retention campaigns
- Manage relationships with external agencies including media houses, designers and printers; to negotiate costs and relevant performance reviews
- Responsibility for collation of all KPI tracking, trend analysis and activity results that feed into the team’s reporting and performance structure
- Work alongside the Content team to research and develop retention. To gather information, case studies and photos for use in all direct marketing campaigns. Where appropriate, to liaise with external agencies such as designers and copywriters

About the role:
As our Head of New Partnerships, this role will play a pivotal role in the delivery of our long-term high-value partnerships strategy over the next 3-5 years. You will be responsible for leading a team of new business specialists to attract and secure new partnerships to join the portfolio of Commercial, Strategic and Transformational partnerships. As we move into the implementation of our new 5 year strategy, you will also be responsible for recruiting new impact partners or funders to support our key strategic goals in the region.
You will lead on the implementation of the new business strategy, offering guidance and effective line management, through a growth mindset. In addition, this role will connect global conversations for developing new, impact-led Transformational global partnerships at scale.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Develop and implement the New Partnership strategy in line with the wider Corporate and impact Partnerships strategy.
- Support and lead New Partnership Managers to develop engaging, holistic, strategic pitch materials to drive high-value partnerships, focussed on income and impact.
- Manage a portfolio of high-value prospects and a growing pipeline across the team, ensuring a long-term approach to reach 3-5 year income and impact targets
- Work closely with Director of Partnerships to provide accurate income forecasting and monthly budget reports, ensuring the New Partnership team delivers its annual financial target.
- Ensure team leverages Movember’s year-round moments, events, campaign opportunities and key impact programmes to drive new partners.
- Work closely with New Partnership Managers to ensure all new business KPIs are met, whilst maximising opportunities to deliver maximum value through income, reach, brand relevance, GIK/ VIK, and impact.
- Support team on all contract negotiations and provide guidance on best practice to ensure highest value for Movember, whilst striving for multi-year, multi-market contracts.
- Maintain a high knowledge of industry trends and activity to influence and guide innovation in partnerships.
- Manage and motivate the New Partnerships team, providing direction and specialist advice.
- Working with the Head of Global Partnerships Operations, the Directors of Partnerships in the key markets and the Chief Growth Officer, contribute to the recruitment and development of Global Transformational Partnerships
For this role, you’ll need:
- 7+ years’ experience in senior business and fundraising/revenue development roles
- Has a proven track record in managing significant revenue generation accountabilities of 6 and 7 figure partnerships
- Experience of developing impact led partnerships and income.
- Has strong networks and the ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with senior stakeholders
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of stakeholders
- Ability to use data to drive decisions
- Demonstrated people management experience
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills
- Highly developed organisation skills, the ability to prioritise and concurrently manage multiple tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills with a high degree of self-motivation and initiative

Oak National Academy is an independent public body, funded by the Department for Education. We help improve the quality of curriculum teachers teach and pupils access, and lower teacher workload from lesson planning. We achieve this by providing free access to thousands of teacher-made, fully-sequenced teaching resources, aligned to the national curriculum, and inspiration and advice for schools on how to design their own curriculum.
We are looking for new members to join our Board as Non-Executive Directors. The role will require a commitment of up to 20 days per year (with some in-person meetings in London). Remuneration at the rate of £316 per day.
Specifically, we are looking to recruit:
- A permanent Board member with education and curriculum expertise
- A permanent Board member with digital and technology expertise
Board members will also join one of the Board’s sub-committees
The new Board members will work to support the Chair to develop our strategy and support and hold the executive team to account for its delivery. This includes supporting Oak National Academy to achieve its objective of advancing the education of learners of all ages (and those supporting them), improving pupil outcomes and closing the disadvantage gap.
Responsibilities
- Work effectively with Board members to develop a successful strategy which ensures Oak has a positive impact and achieves its objectives.
- Monitor performance against agreed targets and provide support, advice and challenge to the executive team on their delivery.
- Ensure the Board and Committees operate within the limits of its authority, including in accordance with the Nolan Principles and the code of conduct for board members of public bodies, and abiding to conditions relating to the use of public funds. This includes being seen as politically impartial and consideration of conflicts of interest.
- Ensure high standards of corporate governance are observed at all times.
- Participate in and/or chair committees of the Board, as required by the Chair.
Knowledge, skills, and experience
- The ability to make strategic, evidenced based decisions by drawing on and applying the latest information or research.
- Exceptional communication skills to support the ability to build effective relationships at senior level and/or between organisations.
- The ability to drive forward the work of an organisation at non-executive level, with a successful track record in the public, voluntary or private sectors of ensuring that strategic objectives are achieved.
- Experience and knowledge that will contribute to the Oak National Academy Board.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate a proven track record of experience in one of the following areas:
