The Senior Programmes Manager: University Access will play a pivotal role in the University Access and Digital team, overseeing and managing the delivery of high-impact interventions, including UK Summer Schools, The Sutton Trust Fulbright US Programme and Teacher Champions, that support young people from underrepresented backgrounds in accessing highly selective universities. The role requires someone with a strong understanding of the barriers faced by young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, and a commitment to supporting them in reaching their potential.
With strong project management skills, key responsibilities include managing the programme partnerships, overseeing the marketing and applications process, monitoring and evaluating the impact of our programmes, continuously refining processes for improvements, and ensuring that the evolving needs of the target demographic are met. The post holder will also be expected to share best practice across the organisation and be a key contributor to the development of the Trust’s strategy for engaging schools, teachers, and students.
Main duties
Ongoing Programme Management
- Leading on the day-to-day project management and delivery of the Trust’s Higher Education access programmes with oversight and support from senior staff, including UK Summer Schools, The Sutton Trust Fulbright US Programme and Teacher Champions.
- Oversee the performance of 12 UK universities delivering the Sutton Trust’s Summer School programmes, the US-UK Fulbright Commission, Causeway Education, and other external partners. This includes:
- Managing partner performance against contractual obligations, including reporting and invoicing.
- Building and maintaining effective and enduring relationships, including the onboarding and training of new partners.
- Establishing a culture of collective learning through planning and delivery of events and best practice sharing.
- Overseeing the monitoring and evaluation of university access programmes in collaboration with external evaluation partners and internal teams; collating data and producing reports, ensuring the effective dissemination of findings and using these to refine programme design.
- Ensuring effective tracking, reporting, and management of programme data for university access. This includes using Salesforce (our CRM) for tracking partner performance, participant data, and programme outcomes.
- Managing programme budgets and reporting on financial status internally.
Programme innovation/development
- Proactively developing strategies to enhance programme delivery, ensuring programmes maintain their quality and reach, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Managing the development, implementation, and evaluation of special projects designed to evolve and improve university access programmes.
- Development and implementation of the school and teacher engagement strategy to support our programme aims and contributing to trust-wide strategy in this area, with support from senior leadership.
- Helping to develop new programmes, including contributing to the drafting of funding bids by Development colleagues.
Team Management & Organisational Duties
- Line management of the Senior Programmes Officer: Marketing and Communications and the Programmes Assistant: University Access and Digital
- Contributing to the leadership of the University Access and Digital team, working closely with the Head of University Access and Digital and other senior programme managers to ensure effective and coherent management of all access-focused programmes
- Representing the Trust at external speaking engagements, as well as contributing to fundraising and donor-related activities when required

Person Specification
We welcome applications from individuals who have experience in:
- Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with experience in managing partnerships, overseeing programme delivery, and financial control.
- Experience line-managing staff and motivating and supporting teams to deliver successfully
- Proven experience in designing, managing, and delivering high-quality programmes ideally with a focus on young people facing barriers to Higher Education.
- A strong understanding of the widening participation sector and the challenges faced by young people in accessing top-tier universities.
- Experience working with schools, colleges, or universities,
- Demonstrated ability to analyse data to inform decision-making and to use insights to improve programme delivery.
- Experience of working with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively represent the Trust at all levels.
- Strong budget management and numerical skills.

Terms of Appointment

What does successful Donor Development look like at Travalyst?
Managing Travalyst’s corporate and individual donor base and driving revenue growth through targeted fundraising efforts.
What you’ll get to do:
This role combines soliciting new prospect donors, donor management, partnership development, and data-driven campaign execution. The ideal candidate will be skilled in relationship building, fundraising strategy, and donor engagement, with a demonstrable passion for Travalyst’s mission of promoting sustainable travel and tourism.
Donor Management (~40%)
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of individual donors, corporate and institutional foundations to secure philanthropic and private funding and advance Travalyst’s mission.
- Identify, solicit, and nurture new donor prospects, ensuring continuous growth of the donor base.
- Strategise with senior leadership to retain and upgrade current donors, including personalised engagement for high-value supporters.
- Support high-value donor and corporate partner meetings, preparing personalised correspondence, proposals and briefs.
Fundraising Strategy, Campaigns, and Event Management (~30%)
- Collaborate with the Partnerships and Development team to plan, execute, and manage proposal development and annual appeal processes for fundraising campaigns, including donor and partner events, direct mail, and corporate initiatives.
- Conduct prospect research for individual donors, foundations, and international government funding sources.
- Oversee the project management and execution of partnership and donor events, ensuring seamless planning, logistics coordination, and delivery to meet revenue and engagement goals.
- Track and report progress on fundraising campaigns and events, providing analysis on key performance indicators and revenue projections.
- Work with the communications team to create compelling materials for donor outreach, event promotion, presentations, and corporate engagement.

Donation Administration and CRM Management (~20%)
- Manage the CRM system, ensuring donor and partner data is accurate, up-to-date, and effectively utilised for engagement and reporting.
- Partner with the Operations team to ensure all donations, invoices and tracking is completed in a timely manner with follow up to donors as required.
- Oversee donor reporting, generating data insights and analytics to inform future strategies and donor retention efforts.
- Manage reconciliation processes and ensure development data and financial data are in alignment.
- Collaborate with the team on CRM system training and improvements and support data migration if necessary.
General Administration and Team Support (~10%)
- Provide administrative support to the Partnerships and Development team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and preparing materials for donor presentations.
- Assist with special projects and additional fundraising and partnership tasks as needed.

What skills we’re looking for:
· Experience in fundraising, donor management, or business development, with proven success in partnership building and substantial (ideally 6-7 figure) revenue generation.
· Ideally, Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Nonprofit Management, Business Development, Marketing, or related field.
· Superior communication and writing skills, with the ability to edit text written by others and generate new text; experience in crafting compelling pitches and proposals.
· High proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce) and data management (experience with donor databases preferred).
· Strong organisational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines and use project management software (Notion) to plan and track projects and work collaboratively across teams.
· Experience with grant management, writing and corporate engagement strategies.
· Experience with financial reporting and analysis in Excel/Google Suite.
· Strong understanding of sustainability issues, trends and the philanthropy sector, with a track record of aligning donor objectives with environmental and social responsibility.

The Opportunity
The Aspiring Professionals Programme Coordinator (APPC) role will be well-suited to someone who is focused on the best ways they can help the aims of the charity as well as those of our participants and partners. An APPC is responsible for supporting the delivery and development of the Social Mobility Foundation’s programme of activities for young people through their S5-6/sixth form and university years.
The SMF offers in-person and online support and opportunities, so this role will involve providing virtual and in-person support to students and working with employers across the UK.

1. Achieving Results
- Organising, supporting and delivering skills sessions, partner events, university trips, both in person and virtually across SMF cities and other parts of the UK.
- Coordinating logistics for virtual and in-person events, including content creation, securing venues and speakers, producing webinars and video calls, advertising events, collating attendee lists and compiling feedback/evaluation
- Coordinating logistics of 6F/S5-6 and undergraduate internships, including but not limited to, internship advertising and student selection, liaising with students and employers throughout internship delivery, and compiling student feedback/evaluation

The Role

Experience and Skills

Role Description
Our membership community are the lifeblood of GCT, representing a passionate group primarily based in the UK, inspired by the magic of Galapagos. Through their membership donations, this community provides a critical stream of income, protecting this special place long after people visit and represent our best advocates for protecting Galapagos into the future. We are seeking a special individual who can help us reach more of this UK audience and catalyse a growth in new supporter recruitment. At GCT, we truly believe that regenerative tourism can be part of the solution for conservation and this role will also drive stronger connections with tourism businesses and other targeted corporates to grow GCT’s income, donor recruitment opportunities and also to disseminate messaging to influence more sustainable practices in the Galapagos tourism industry.
Reporting to the CEO, the Membership & Regenerative Tourism Manager will drive the development and implementation of three key GCT strategies: Membership, Corporate fundraising & Regenerative Tourism. The role will line manage the Individual Giving Fundraiser who is responsible for managing GCT’s contact database and membership/corporate fundraising administration.
What you’ll deliver:
Membership
· Working with the Individual Giving Fundraiser you will oversee a growth in GCT’s membership (targets to be agreed upon appointment) whilst ensuring our strong record of supporter retention is maintained, ensuring our members feel a valued part of protecting Galapagos.
· Working with the Individual Giving Fundraiser and Communications team, you will develop and deliver high quality communications to members and tourism contacts, growing recruitment and ongoing engagement.
· Working with the Individual Giving Fundraiser you will manage GCT’s contact database (CRM) and will refine GCT’s membership, supporter and corporate data tracking processes, reporting monthly and quarterly indicators to the Senior Leadership Team and Board.
· You will ensure robust administration of membership, supporter and corporate income, with an ‘all-hands-on-deck’ attitude during busy income processing times.
· You will lead promotional activities for legacy gifts, stewarding legacy pledgers.
· You will support the Senior Philanthropy Manager in donor relationship management, ensuring a strong donor journey at all levels.
· You will provide strategic input to the CEO for ongoing membership, tourism and corporate fundraising strategy delivery and development.
Corporate Partnerships
· Working with the CEO and Senior Philanthropy Manager, you will review and relaunch GCT’s corporate membership/ sponsorship scheme in 2025 linking with GCT’s 30th Anniversary.
· Working with the Senior Leadership Team you will support the development and implementation of GCT’s first Galapagos Regenerative Tourism Partner initiative (aiming to generate c. £50K per year towards regenerative tourism work).
· You will continue recruitment and cultivation of GCT’s corporate partners from the travel industry and other industries, ensuring partnership deliverables and income targets are met.
· You will support the Senior Philanthropy Manager with logistics, promotion and fundraising strategies for the GCT cruises.
Regenerative Tourism
· You will stay informed of tourism news from Galapagos and trends for UK tourists including attending relevant networking events, updating the wider GCT team on a quarterly basis.
· Support GCT’s position on the Galapagos Regenerative Tourism Working Group.
· Ensure opportunities to share regenerative tourism messaging are optimised to increase industry uptake of biodiversity and local community positive solutions.
General
· Stay informed of existing and new fundraising legislation and guidance from the Fundraising Regulator, keeping the Senior Leadership Team updated of any changes.
· Support for GCT events such as our annual Galapagos Day.
· Ensure GCT’s fundraising and contact data management policies are kept up to date and implemented across the organisation.

About the role
You will play a key role in advising on and delivering the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) requirements of the Academy’s grant schemes and career development programmes, which will contribute to communicating the impact of our work and the evidence base for the continuous improvement of our schemes and processes. Third Sector Leaders Kirklees has received more than £900,000 from The National Lottery Community Fund, the largest community funder in the UK, to empower local people to take individual and collective climate action and reduce fuel poverty in their community.
The Energy Neighbours project has a clear community capacity-building approach, aiming to work inclusively with communities and community organisations, listening to local priorities, experimenting and learning together, being transparent and accountable and sharing decision-making.
The project will help more community buildings and homes to be more energy efficient, by providing expertise, training, volunteering and sharing learning. Energy Neighbours supports and funds organisation development, community activities, volunteering, community business and partnership development, helping communities have a stronger voice and more capacity to impact on their priorities and concerns.
The new Energy Neighbours team includes a Project Manager, Project Coordinator and an Information and Data Manager. These three posts support four Community Energy Development Workers who work with community organisations and residents in priority areas of Kirklees. The project partners include the Kirklees Climate Commission, local experts on energy and independent evaluation support.

The Energy Neighbours Project Coordinator will work closely with adn report to the Energy Neighbours Project Manager.
Position Summary
The Philharmonia Orchestra is seeking to appoint a Social Media and Content Manager towork with the Marketing team to promote all aspects of the offer – someone who is passionate about social media and is excited to be an innovator in the sector.
The newly created role will be focused on developing and implementing a new social and content strategy, with strands of activity that focus on growing and engaging audiences, raising the profile of the Orchestra on a global scale and maximising income. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and optimisation of all our social channels, as well as content development and capture. Importantly, the candidate will work closely with the Marketing and Concerts teams to ensure our social channels are full of rich and engaging content, and a central part of the marketing mix. They will need to be confident in developing relationships pan- organisation, as they will work closely with a core group of staff and players to expand the capture and development of content.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:
- With the Marketing team and any external research/audience agencies, develop an annual content and social strategy and planner, which serves all areas of the business and campaigns
- Develop a brand personality appropriate to each channel, which builds on the Philharmonia core brand mission and values
- Develop a strategy for paid social activity and digital advertising
- Look at the introduction of more social channels, where appropriate
- Using various analytics tools, and tied to the wider organisational data strategy, develop reports for circulation on a regular basis, which show growth in audience numbers and engagement
Project Management:
- Schedule and optimise social channels (organic), ensuring there is a variety of content with a consistent TOV and brand, which delivers audience engagement, growth, and diversification
- Schedule and optimise paid social and digital advertising to maximise best performing channels
- Work with Managers to support with SEO and website navigation, as part of the whole customer journey
- With the Managers and an external agency, support with optimisation of the Google Grant account
- Analyse the effectiveness of all social and content and implement any optimisations and learnings
- Attend concerts and activities where relevant and part of the strategy, in order to capture imagery, stories and footage
- Coordinate with the stage management and concerts teams to ensure that information is shared well in advance and opportunities are maximised
- Work with partner venues and organisations to promote the work we do as engagements and on tour, in support of both parties’ strategies
- Work with the Data and Insight Manager to improve data capture, monitoring and understanding
Leadership and Management:
- With the Director of Marketing & Comms, work to engage the whole Orchestra in the production of content
- Work with a core group of players and staff to build confidence in the creation of content and capture, building a strong in-house team
Managerial Responsibilities:
- Attend workshops/conferences/seminars to be on the front foot of social media and content development – share learnings with the team and other stakeholders
- Be a brand guardian for the Philharmonia identity, working with the Director of Marketing & Comms to evolve and optimise branding across online channels and beyond
- Work with Director of Marketing & Comms on new online projects that may arise, as part of the programme and business development
Skills and Qualifications
Essential:
- Minimum three years’ experience in a relevant role
- A champion for social media and content development
- Knowledge of all social platforms, Google Analytics and other reporting tools
- Passion and interest for music and the arts, with a good understanding of orchestras
- Some experience in photography/videography (does not need to be an academic qualification
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to communicate convincingly to a diverse range of people
- Excellent interpersonal and social skills, with the ability to create strong relationships with a range of stakeholders and colleagues
- Ability to work successfully as part of a team as well as to use own initiative
- Ability to prioritise a mixed workload and to work to tight deadlines
- Willingness to have a hands-on attitude
- Willingness to work unsocial hours, including evenings and weekends both within London and the rest of the UK (occasionally internationally)
Desirable:
- Experience of working with a similar arts organisation
- Experience of working with musicians or other creative artists
