About the role
- You will be coordinating an innovative tenant-led partnership in Manchester, called Ageing Well in Place in Hulme. This is a rare opportunity to work on a genuinely tenant-led co-creation partnership that is achieving significant community mobilisation and positive outcomes among social housing tenants.
- You will work together with tenant committees and older and vulnerable people in high rise social housing accommodation to encourage social participation, build confidence and capacity, and facilitate peer support and leadership development.
- You will work closely with tenants to realise their ideas and aspirations for their block, their physical environment and neighbourhood, and their own wellbeing.
- You will convene quarterly multi-agency Ageing Well in Place partnership meetings and support tenants to build constructive relationships with local agencies and providers to achieve their goals.
- You will work closely with an Independent Living Outreach worker who will deliver one-to-one casework support to tenants at the same accommodation blocks.

About Strength and Learning Through Horses :
Strength & Learning Through Horses provides mental health and education support to some of London’s most vulnerable young people through offering equine assisted therapy and alternative education programmes. Strength & Learning Through Horses has been in operation for over 10 years and has grown year on year in terms of income and number of young people reached and number of services we offer.
We have 5 full time and 8 part time contracted staff members, 18 freelance staff members and work with 15 volunteers. 400 – 500 young people per year benefit from our life changing services; our hope is that this will increase to 700+ per year from 2027 once the building project at our site is complete. We have ambitious longer-term plans for growth.
We have been operating in North London for over 10 years from a small stable, after our lease sadly came to an end in January 2023 we moved to our long term home. This was a derelict stable owned by the Council which we have secured via a 25 year lease. In 2022-23 we raised £300,000 to get the site usable as an equine therapy centre although it is still very run down with much of it boarded up a derelict. We now have full planning permission to develop the site and build a purpose-built equine therapy centre which will allow us to double the number of young people who access the space.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
To make this dream a reality we are looking for an experienced Capital Fundraising Manager to lead the Capital fundraising campaign for this project to raise £700,000 over 2 years in order to fund this build.
The hope is to raise £350,000 in year one in order to fund half of the build (stage 1) with the remaining funding being secured in the 2nd year to complete the build in year 2. We have a strong track record of fundraising including recently securing 5 years core costs funding from the National Lottery Community Fund and we have warm relationships that we can call on once this fundraising campaign gets activated.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the charity at a time of growth and change and an opportunity for someone to really make this role their own.
SKILLS AND QUALITIES REQUIRED:
You are driven and ambitious, both in your personal career goals and in achieving and surpassing fundraising targets. You will also bring this ambition to your aspirations for SLTH Equine Therapy, striving for excellence and growth in all endeavours.
Experience of successfully managing capital funding appeals with a proven track record of securing significant funds from high net-worth individuals, corporate organisations and grant making organisations.
Self-motivated and able to confidently lead on fundraising projects including:
- Creating capital fundraising strategy
- Generating a capital fundraising pipeline
- Reporting efficiently on progress
The ability to proactively manage stakeholders from across SLTH to ensure all are involved and their personal networks are utilised in this campaign.
This will include:
- Working alongside the 2 CEO’s to develop a strategy and to utilise existing contacts and warm leads
- Working closely with the Marketing Manager to ensure fundraising materials and pitch decks are high quality
- Engaging staff, volunteers and supporters in the campaign
- Manage fundraising pipeline and presenting a progress updates to the board if required
- Creating a relationship with one of our HNW funders who has connections with other HNW individuals and corporations
- The Equestrian Management Agency (who support us as their partner charity and are invested in making this fundraising campaign a success)

Role Overview:
The Talent Set is thrilled to be working with a leading charity as they search for an Interim Senior Events Manager to support them for a 6-month period.

The Role

The evaluation team works with schools and organisations, analysing the impact of programmes and interventions to help them do more of what works and less of what doesn’t. The Opportunity
The Manager role works across ImpactEd Evaluation. Our partners encompass education organisations such as charities, edtech organisations and government, and schools and multi-academy Trusts. We aim to deliver high-quality research and evaluation projects that help our partners make better decisions to benefit young people.
You will act as a consultant on a range of different partnerships to help partners develop their evaluation strategy and approach. For example, you could deliver independent evaluations for organisations like the Careers and Enterprise Company, Nesta or multi-academy Trusts such as Lift Schools. You will also have opportunities to contribute to development of team strategy and learning and development resources.
As a manager you will act as a project lead, delivering high-quality research projects at scale, and support the creation of specific deliverables for projects led by others. This covers the end to end of research design and delivery, including the creation of Theories of Change and evaluation frameworks, data collection and analysis, and impact reporting to help our partners learn about the effectiveness of their programmes. At manager level you will have the opportunity to take on larger-scope partnerships supported by a project sponsor at senior manager level or above.
We are open to a range of backgrounds, but would expect prior experience of research and evaluation delivery and partnership management. Experience and understanding of the UK education system would also be an asset. The Fundraising Manager role is a varied one supporting HCCN’s work providing evidence-based services that promote physical activity, emotional wellbeing, and healthy eating: key strategies for improving quality of life, aiding recovery, and supporting cancer prevention.
You’ll be a key part of our small but mighty Operations Team, supporting the smooth running of our fundraising events, seeking out new fundraising opportunities, creating relationships with individuals and corporates, managing fundraising volunteers, keeping tabs on our kit and equipment, and being the first port of call for people wanting to raise money for HCCN.
You will take responsibility for developing and implementing our fundraising plan.
We will help you develop grant application and management skills.

38% of children from disadvantaged backgrounds leave primary school in England each year unable to read to the expected standard. Chapter One is a fast-growing charity, with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills they need to thrive. We work to ensure that all children have 1:1 reading support at the time they need it most.
Our Early Literacy Intervention (ELI) programme (based on a model that serves 20,000 children successfully in the USA) provides daily, 1:1, 7 minute phonics sessions for children who are behind in phonics. Using a bespoke technology tool, a trained Early Literacy Interventionist works individually with target children.
This ELI role, reporting to the Schools Development Manager, is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop and grow their knowledge of phonics and/or their teaching skill set.
You will conduct an initial baseline assessment and then deliver differentiated, 1:1, targeted, 7 minute phonics sessions to pupils using a systematic, synthetic approach. Although you are employed by Chapter One, you will work closely with the school team to understand the progression of the school’s phonics teaching; establish tailored plans for each child and feedback on pupil progress. Using your knowledge and insight, you will also collaborate with colleagues at Chapter One to further improve the ELI model, the online tool and programme delivery.

The Role
The Clinical Lead is a critically important role within the service, providing leadership, coordination and delivery of the prescribing and clinical elements within this integrated substance use service.
You will be a registered healthcare professional, that can prescribe for people needing substance misuse interventions. However, we are flexible about the discipline you have and the hours you work (i.e., you could be an independent prescriber (Nurse or Pharmacist) GP or Consultant).

Though you will:
· have a strong background and experience in providing clinical support, to ensure that we are consistently offering a high quality, clinically excellent, recovery-focused service to people with problematic substance use.
· provide excellent clinical leadership and clinical supervision to healthcare staff within the Via Cheshire West & Chester service, and support to GPs and Pharmacies involved in the provision of treatment services to people who use substances across the area.
· be an effective, engaged and active part of the local management and leadership team, contributing to the overall performance of the service to ensure that contractual output targets are achieved.
· be ready to be supported by Via’s wider senior leadership and clinical department, for example to receive clinical supervision and support for complex cases where required.

The Service
Via is a charity dedicated to the belief that we can make a difference to lives of those who use our services, offering support and respect in a safe environment, treating each person as an individual and working with them to find the right support options.
Via’s Cheshire West & Chester service is an adult and young person treatment and recovery service which offers a range of pharmacological and psycho-social interventions to the community for support in relation to drug and or alcohol use.
This is an established service that is well performing and highly functioning. It is CQC registered to provide a range of clinical interventions including blood borne virus interventions, opioid substitute treatment, community detoxification, harm reduction, other holistic health interventions and seated in a recovery focused model.
The team actively supports individuals that are directly and indirectly affected by substance use, working with the local community to improve the health, wellbeing and functioning of residents, irrespective of circumstance.
Location
You will be based from our Northwich Hub, but will regularly travel to other Hub sites in Chester and Ellesmere Port, will require occasional travel to external meetings and satellites within the area, and very occasional travel to other Via locations may be required.
