• Assist in the creation of internal project assurance measures and ensure compliance with audit requirements.

• Undertake financial administration, including processing purchase orders, invoices, and monitoring project expenditure.

• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders and support the promotion of project activities across multiple channels.

What We’re Looking For

About the Team:

The WaterAid Programme Support and Knowledge team provides technical advisory expertise across programme design and delivery.  It ​leads and supports organisation-wide programme learning and knowledge management​, and facilitates knowledge exchange​, fosters and supports internal and external programme and technical partnerships and networks. 

This role leads the Knowledge Management & Learning sub-team focused on developing and supporting the department’s knowledge management, learning and WASH capacity-strengthening strategies, approaches and processes.  It works across the organisation to facilitate the digital curation and management of our programmatic and thematic knowledge.

About the Role:

Knowledge Management and Learning (KM&L) Senior Manager strategically leads and shapes knowledge management and programme learning within the International Programmes Department (IPD), working with senior leadership teams to define, steer and ensure the effective implementation of a department wide KML strategy. 

The KM&L Senior Manager also acts on behalf of IPD and PSK in steering and providing strategic leadership on the department’s contributions and requirements regarding WaterAid’s research agenda, programme and technical capacity development strategy, and external digital communications. 

The Senior Manager strategically works in conjunction with PSK’s senior leadership team to shape and steer approaches and processes for the collation, analysis, and the uptake of programme knowledge, thought leadership, innovation, and learning. The KM&L Senior Manager reports into the Programme Support and Knowledge Director and their key accountabilities are:

• Strategically lead the design of an organisational programme learning and knowledge management strategy, in alignment with the other key organisational strategies and processes such as those for research, external communications and planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting (PMER).
• Provide leadership and support to IPD and WaterAid in developing an positive organisational culture of learning and effective knowledge management.
• Lead operationalisation and implementation of the KM&L strategy, including shaping and steering the coordination of organisational processes to collate, analyse and disseminate programme knowledge, thought leadership, innovation and learning.
• Lead the development of organisational mechanisms for knowledge exchange and evolution of our approaches including providing leadership to identify specific strategic knowledge gaps.
• Lead the process and methods to develop and maintain WaterAid’s normative frameworks, standards and guidance materials for both internal and external audiences, coordinating with PSK’s and GPAC’s technical and policy leads. 
• Strategically steer and support the Capacity Strengthening Senior Advisor, to drive and support WaterAid's capacity-strengthening agenda.
• Strategically steer and support the IPD’s coordination and interests in the global research agenda as led by the Global Policy and Campaigns department, and steer the effective project management of multi-country programme research projects.
• Lead on the contribution from a KM&L and capacity development perspective within the organisation’s business and bid development efforts by supporting donor engagement, intelligence gathering, and preparation of funding proposals.
• Provide strategic leadership to the team, translated into effective annual priorities, plans and budgets - fully integrated within PSK’s overall plan and linked to the organisational priorities.

Requirements

Essential skills:

• An experienced leader in the area of knowledge management and learning, research and technical capacity development, preferably in the international development sector
• Strong and extensive knowledge management background with a track record of developing effective strategies and approaches for program learning.
• Extensive experience and knowledge of effective knowledge exchange mechanisms and approaches for knowledge evolution.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and design effective applied research initiatives.
• Experience and knowledge of effective capacity development design and delivery.
• Strong IT literacy skills, including designing and maintaining SharePoint or similar information management platforms; and using Microsoft 365 and other web based tools and platforms.
• Experience working in low and middle-income countries.
• Ability to communicate clearly and influence colleagues and peers; ability to work effectively across diverse groups and cultures.
• A self-starter, able to work independently and drive tasks forward to completion, escalating issues where appropriate.

Context and Background

The NSPCC is the leading charity focused on preventing cruelty to the most vulnerable children in the UK.

We run campaigns that shift attitudes and behaviour to keep children safe, campaigns that inspire action like fundraising or volunteering for us and influencing campaigns that ask for public support to persuade government and industry to change laws and policies to better protect children and young people. This exciting role is responsible for managing the delivery of influencing campaigns in support of the NSPCC’s organisational strategy.

This is a crucial moment for our campaigning work. In the past few years, NSPCC campaigns have played a crucial role in securing an Online Safety Act that is fit to keep children safe online. The team have also secured achievements on changing the law to prevent sports coaches and faith leaders having sexual relationships with under 18s and helping new parents receive mental health support. The NSPCC is looking for someone to continue to drive forward change for children under a new Government across their key policy areas and make sure every child grows up with the safety they deserve.

Job purpose

• To advise on the use of campaigning activity to achieve the organisation’s influencing objectives

• To lead on the development of integrated, evidence-based influencing campaigns which mobilise the public behind calls for Government to better protect children

• Co-ordinate the delivery and evaluation of high impact campaigns activity across different channels that mobilise both warm and cold audiences

• To manage our network of campaign supporters

Senior Events Officer - Maternity cover

This role will support the Events Development Manager in the planning and delivery of online and digital events, as well as an expanded events programme that aligns with the RSPB’s strategic goals. The Senior Events Officer will play a critical role in operationally leading parts of this programme, deputising for the Events Development Manager, and using their expertise to execute the strategy.

What's the role about? 

The Senior Events Officer will be responsible for delivering multiple, simultaneous projects while managing diverse stakeholders and collaborating with teams across the RSPB, partner organisations and agencies.

A key area for this role will also be to curate, develop, and deliver innovative, high-quality events and experiences that resonate with target audiences and drive engagement. You will focus specifically on delivering events that reach and converts new audiences and help to retain members and courage lifetime value using innovative approaches and event delivery. You will oversee all aspects of event planning and execution, including risk management, communication plans, and live event coordination (both in-person and virtual).

• Prepare event briefs with key stakeholders to ensure that clear objectives and outcomes are set, monitored, and delivered.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience: 

• A degree or equivalent professional qualification in event management, marketing, or a related field, or demonstrable experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrable experience managing and leading large-scale events of over 1000 people, from concept through to implementation and evaluation
• Ability to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of event marketing
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to write and produce engaging content, including copy writing, and in-person delivery to influence and represent the directorate and the organisation
• Expertise in working with tracking, measurement, and analytic tools to assess event success and deliver detailed event insight.
• Experience of delivering online events to over 500 attendees, including live polling, panel discussion and working with production companies

The Corporate Partnerships Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the Corporate Partnerships Manager and the wider Fundraising Team helping to secure income and support from both existing corporate members and prospective businesses across our three counties. You will help to nurture new and existing relationships with local businesses and strive to grow corporate income for the charity.

We raise c£750K per annum, which delivers our impactful programme of work to meet immediate menstrual health needs via providing period products and menstrual education, and campaigning for long-term change so that we (ultimately) no longer have to do this work.

We are now recruiting a Fundraising Manager to cover parental leave for nine months. It’s an exciting time to join our team, as we build on strong foundations and develop our work in High Value fundraising in particular. This xed term contract will focus on delivering a new strategy for corporate and Major Donor fundraising, as well as line managing a new Fundraising Ocer to deliver our day-to-day fundraising portfolio.

The Social Media Officer will drive the development of their social media channels and support communities, working to deliver the social media and content strategies.  You’ll be an expert in the delivery of all things organic social media including ownership of day-to-day content generation, community management, scheduling and reporting.

What the job involves

The Policy and Health Influencing teams are responsible for using clinical data and evidence to shape what the organisation thinks and to develop solutions that drive change for men with and at risk of prostate cancer. This means working with clinicians, patients and stakeholders to interpret the latest changes in prostate cancer research, care, support and treatment which will help shape our strategic direction and activities.

As the Health Improvement Coordinator, you're key to supporting these teams. You'll have a varied and far-reaching portfolio of work and sometimes arranging important stakeholder events and meetings ensuring we're hearing from people who've been through prostate cancer themselves. You'll also help share our work on social media and capturing the outcomes of our external engagement.

In this role you’ll assist us in keeping track of and evaluating our progress in line with our organisational strategy, as well as keeping an eye on trends in the wider cancer and health landscape and reporting on them. Plus, you'll handle budget matters and make sure we have effective budget monitoring mechanisms in place.

What we want from you

We’re looking for a Coordinator who is highly organised, an effective communicator and know how to adapt and effectively prioritise your time. You’ll have excellent coordination skills and can organise others too (especially teams which are based across the UK) and have experience of creating and updating forward planners, project schedules and streamlining team processes. You’ll be able to comfortably engage with senior managers and a breadth of external senior level stakeholders. Regularly taking the initiative to drive improvements so that the teams you support can operate efficiently.

With skills in collecting and utilising data to monitor, trend, and report on activity, you're proactive in acting on the results. You’ll have some experience or interest in working in the health or volunteer sector. You’re also quick to learn and capable at picking up new systems including those for budget management and products’ fulfilment.

Refuge is recruiting for a Senior Individual Giving Executive to join the passionate and dynamic Public Fundraising Team. We’re looking for a candidate with experience in a range of individual giving marketing, that can bring their knowledge, skills and experience to Refuge, enabling enable us to achieve our ambition to change attitudes, and policies around domestic abuse, and raise funds to support our vital services.

The Senior Individual Giving Executive is responsible for delivering agreed digital and direct marketing fundraising campaigns to recruit, retain and engage supporters; including telemarketing, direct-to-donate ads and email. You will work closely with the Individual Giving Manager to support the delivery of key fundraising appeals throughout the year to generate one-off income and to grow our monthly giver file.

You will monitor and track results, KPIs, income and expenditure budgets to ensure we meet our targets. In addition, you will continually evaluate our activities, providing suggestions on new products and asks to test and areas for optimisation. By working collaboratively with the Digital, Engagement & Mobilisation team (DME) and specialist third parties you will help to deliver an integrated multi-channel programme of fundraising activity.
